can we do a little more if you use chip shops?

Hate seeing do many Polystyrene containers and card board box's when I make a visit to the chip shop.
If I am just ordering chips, or something dry(pies?).
I just request wrap it up in paper(not newspaper).
Polystyrene makes one trip in its life time,and you are not supposed to re-cycle the card board box's as it is considered as contaminated due to the of food waste remnants. As regards to the plastic forks spoons and knives,we keep stainless forks spoons and knives in the car,just in case.

Eco friendly has to include cleansing or disposal of equipment. If it’s not biodegradable then it has to be washed.
Burgers here are served wrapped in paper, wraps and fries come in cardboard packets, ice-cream and drinks in disposable cardboard.
What do you buy that comes in washable plastic?
