I missed my passport recently - a relatively new one - certainly had it on return from hols in September. It was always kept in a small drawer in the hall - not there, nor in any bag or pocket I might have taken on holiday. Nor in any other drawer.
Complete mystery!
Before applying for a new one (assuming I had somehow dropped it or had it nicked after passport control) , I asked St Anthony, and lo, a couple of hours later dh found it - in the glove compartment of my car - which in fact I don’t use very often at all - dh uses it far more - and which we didn’t use to or from the airport in September anyway - we took taxis.
Dh said I might have used it as ID when collecting a parcel but if anywhere local I’d have walked or bussed, and I don’t recall collecting any parcels anyway.
Still a complete mystery what it was doing there!
