Morning from an overcast SYorks.

TodayI'm chasing a printer which should be back by now, I've a backlog to print out, and a visit to the gym.

It doe seem a long time before we can wake to light and have light evenings. Very dreary.

Bests for poorlies and sleep catch-ups, appointments and meet ups.

Good morning everyone, a damp, cold start here in Wiltshire.
We had sleet, rain, sun, wind, everything yesterday!
I’m off to a friend’s for coffee and setting up card marking bits and bobs this morning for tomorrow’s craft group.
I have 2 bags of clothes for the charity shop to drop off sometime too.
I hope today goes well for you all x

Good morning everyone from a dry and cold Northampton, 1° here at the moment. I seem to have been awake most of the night; always happens when I go to bed earlier than usual. I didn't do a lot yesterday except sort the kitchen out in the morning, then sit and read and watch tv the rest of the day. Found an Agatha Christie film on tv in the afternoon, which I quite enjoyed.

I have decided to make the effort to go to yoga this morning, then on to Knit and Natter afterwards, even though it means carrying two bags plus my yoga mat on and off buses. My friend who usually gives me a lift is on grandma duties this week. Still, it's only a slight inconvenience. Will try and ring my helpful travel lady this afternoon, as the promised travel documents with corrected spellings have not appeared in my emails.

All the best today for your scan Mick. Take care while you're out and about on the buses. And Ash as well, don't overdo it.

Have a pleasant Monday everyone.

good morning and I am very much looking forward to a sunny and uplifting day

I went to bed thinking I would do a marie kondo of my wardrobe today but that is a step too far. My clothes are not bought but are handmade and I am emotionally invested.

I bit the bullet and cancelled a monthly sewing box subscription this morning, I love that surprise box of goodies and fabric but I decided to be sensible by the time I woke up. It is amazing how I think through and make decisions in my sleep. sleeping on it definitely works for me

I am hoping you all get to see a bit of sun today

Good morning all from a still dark North Leicestershire. The temperature is 2° and it seems fairly quiet.

This morning I am helping on an Alzheimer's Carer Learning session and, this afternoon, we have an appointment with a kitchen designer.

Good luck with your appointment Mick.

Good morning from Shropshire.DH just looked out and it looks damp rather than the snow that was originally forecast for today.

Yesterday we booked a holiday in Norfolk for later in the year.We then cleared out the cupboard under the stairs and managed to sort two bin bags of stuff we no longer require, one bag for the tip and one for the charity shop.

Today I am up early as I have an early appointment with the GP.

Sorry you have had such a bad night Greyduster.A restful day for you today.

I hope your appointment goes to plan today Mick.Don’t overdo it with the walking if you feel tired.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Good morning from a dry but cold Torbay after a night of showers and strong winds.

I hope all will go as planned for your scan today, Mick. It’s good to know that the later service proved more comfortable for you this week, grandMattie. It’s tough when you have such a poor night, Greyduster but I hope you can catch up with some 💤 today. Take care in the snow, Grandmabatty.

At last I’m going back to my “Move It Or Lose It” class today. Luckily, we have the option to be seated for the routines, which I shall be at times. Tonight, DH will be Front of House Manager for the charity performance of our latest play: A Matter of Life and Death, whilst I return to being a FoH steward.

Yesterday, after church, we visited Lidl to stock up on essentials to take to France later this week, especially tea bags and baked beans! French ones just aren’t to our liking.

Wishing you all a good week. 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 2° and there's a covering of snow. It's very cold. Good luck Mick with your scan. Grandmattie I'm glad the service wasn't so painful for you yesterday. Greyduster a duvet day sounds like a plan!
Yesterday I pottered about and DD brought the boys round for a while.
Today is a childcare day. I'm not looking forward to being out in the snow though, with a small boy and a buggy, although it's driving in snow I hate. Oh well, onwards and upwards. Have a good day all.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Mick good luck with your scan today. It’s dark in South Yorkshire and the temperature in the house is 12.1 so goodness knows what it’s like outside. The heating will kick in soon. I have been awake most of the night, so will be fit for nothing today. I might have a duvet day, or maybe half a day! I’m sick of the winter already and we haven’t even started yet.
Have the best day you can folks.

grandMattie Mon 16-Jan-23 06:05:53

Good morning from E Kent. The rain woke me up several times but it isn’t raining now. The house is very well insulated, so I don’t know how cold it is.
All the best with your scan today, Mick.
I had a quiet day yesterday, and, yes, the 1030 service was much less emotional. As we are in an interregnum, the priest officiating changes all the time. Yesterday, it was the Canterbury cathedral precentor who took the service.
Today,I shall do some cleaning, some sewing…
Hope that the day is kind to everyone. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
