Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but its dry here in brackley this morning, and it looks as though its freezing out there.
Today a CT scan at the Horton in Banbury for my colon cancer , I will attempt to walk to and from the bus staton in banbury as well.
Take Care,
Mick

grandMattie Mon 16-Jan-23 06:05:53

Good morning from E Kent. The rain woke me up several times but it isn’t raining now. The house is very well insulated, so I don’t know how cold it is.
All the best with your scan today, Mick.
I had a quiet day yesterday, and, yes, the 1030 service was much less emotional. As we are in an interregnum, the priest officiating changes all the time. Yesterday, it was the Canterbury cathedral precentor who took the service.
Today,I shall do some cleaning, some sewing…
Hope that the day is kind to everyone. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Greyduster Mon 16-Jan-23 06:18:51

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Mick good luck with your scan today. It’s dark in South Yorkshire and the temperature in the house is 12.1 so goodness knows what it’s like outside. The heating will kick in soon. I have been awake most of the night, so will be fit for nothing today. I might have a duvet day, or maybe half a day! I’m sick of the winter already and we haven’t even started yet.
Have the best day you can folks.

Grandmabatty Mon 16-Jan-23 06:36:49

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 2° and there's a covering of snow. It's very cold. Good luck Mick with your scan. Grandmattie I'm glad the service wasn't so painful for you yesterday. Greyduster a duvet day sounds like a plan!
Yesterday I pottered about and DD brought the boys round for a while.
Today is a childcare day. I'm not looking forward to being out in the snow though, with a small boy and a buggy, although it's driving in snow I hate. Oh well, onwards and upwards. Have a good day all.

Ashcombe Mon 16-Jan-23 06:38:06

Good morning from a dry but cold Torbay after a night of showers and strong winds.

I hope all will go as planned for your scan today, Mick. It’s good to know that the later service proved more comfortable for you this week, grandMattie. It’s tough when you have such a poor night, Greyduster but I hope you can catch up with some 💤 today. Take care in the snow, Grandmabatty.

At last I’m going back to my “Move It Or Lose It” class today. Luckily, we have the option to be seated for the routines, which I shall be at times. Tonight, DH will be Front of House Manager for the charity performance of our latest play: A Matter of Life and Death, whilst I return to being a FoH steward.

Yesterday, after church, we visited Lidl to stock up on essentials to take to France later this week, especially tea bags and baked beans! French ones just aren’t to our liking.

Wishing you all a good week. 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good morning from Shropshire.DH just looked out and it looks damp rather than the snow that was originally forecast for today.

Yesterday we booked a holiday in Norfolk for later in the year.We then cleared out the cupboard under the stairs and managed to sort two bin bags of stuff we no longer require, one bag for the tip and one for the charity shop.

Today I am up early as I have an early appointment with the GP.

Sorry you have had such a bad night Greyduster.A restful day for you today.

I hope your appointment goes to plan today Mick.Don’t overdo it with the walking if you feel tired.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

kittylester Mon 16-Jan-23 06:54:36

Good morning all from a still dark North Leicestershire. The temperature is 2° and it seems fairly quiet.

This morning I am helping on an Alzheimer's Carer Learning session and, this afternoon, we have an appointment with a kitchen designer.

Good luck with your appointment Mick.

karmalady Mon 16-Jan-23 06:58:06

good morning and I am very much looking forward to a sunny and uplifting day

I went to bed thinking I would do a marie kondo of my wardrobe today but that is a step too far. My clothes are not bought but are handmade and I am emotionally invested.

I bit the bullet and cancelled a monthly sewing box subscription this morning, I love that surprise box of goodies and fabric but I decided to be sensible by the time I woke up. It is amazing how I think through and make decisions in my sleep. sleeping on it definitely works for me

I am hoping you all get to see a bit of sun today

BlueSapphire Mon 16-Jan-23 07:01:07

Good morning everyone from a dry and cold Northampton, 1° here at the moment. I seem to have been awake most of the night; always happens when I go to bed earlier than usual. I didn't do a lot yesterday except sort the kitchen out in the morning, then sit and read and watch tv the rest of the day. Found an Agatha Christie film on tv in the afternoon, which I quite enjoyed.

I have decided to make the effort to go to yoga this morning, then on to Knit and Natter afterwards, even though it means carrying two bags plus my yoga mat on and off buses. My friend who usually gives me a lift is on grandma duties this week. Still, it's only a slight inconvenience. Will try and ring my helpful travel lady this afternoon, as the promised travel documents with corrected spellings have not appeared in my emails.

All the best today for your scan Mick. Take care while you're out and about on the buses. And Ash as well, don't overdo it.

Have a pleasant Monday everyone.

BlueBalou Mon 16-Jan-23 07:03:54

Good morning everyone, a damp, cold start here in Wiltshire.
We had sleet, rain, sun, wind, everything yesterday!
I’m off to a friend’s for coffee and setting up card marking bits and bobs this morning for tomorrow’s craft group.
I have 2 bags of clothes for the charity shop to drop off sometime too.
I hope today goes well for you all x

Morning from an overcast SYorks.

TodayI'm chasing a printer which should be back by now, I've a backlog to print out, and a visit to the gym.

It doe seem a long time before we can wake to light and have light evenings. Very dreary.

Bests for poorlies and sleep catch-ups, appointments and meet ups.

NannyJan53 Mon 16-Jan-23 07:13:46

Good morning from a dark dull Black Country.

Off to the airport this morning on the train (its wonderful to travel there for free!) smile. Then the flight to Budapest, where it is going to be just as cold if not colder than here. Back home on Saturday.

Wishing you all a lovely day and week ahead

GrannyGravy13 Mon 16-Jan-23 07:17:12

Morning all

Mick I hope all goes well with your scan today.

It’s still dark here and rather nippy 2° we have rain forecast. I am off to the gym this morning and an afternoon appointment with the dental hygienist (I am not good with anything dental)

Wishing you all a good day 🙋‍♀️🦩

Urmstongran Mon 16-Jan-23 07:17:25

No Matt = Monday.

Good morning everyone from Málaga where it’s just beginning to get light. Not a clue what’s on the cards for today but (a) it will involve less walking - we did a long walk yesterday and (b) Himself will be applying sunscreen to his face and pate. We both forgot yesterday, thinking ‘it’s January’ silly us - you’d think by now we’d know better! Himself looked like a Ribena berry going out last night.
😁

Sun’s up quickly.. it’s going to be another nice day of blue skies and sunshine with temperatures reaching 19°C. It’s my sister’s birthday today I must give her a call later. Funny to think she’s only up the coast from here, nearer to Gibraltar. And it’s my stepfather’s turn to ring me today.

Hope your CT scan gives your surgeon a result that is encouraging for you Mick. Pace yourself today.

Gymstagran Mon 16-Jan-23 07:18:20

Good morning from a dark west midlands. Dentist for me today and hopefully meet up with my sister if the roads are clear.

Ashcombe Mon 16-Jan-23 07:18:25

Safe travels, NannyJan53 and enjoy your visit!

dragonfly46 Mon 16-Jan-23 07:23:32

Good morning from dark Leicestershire.

Pilates first thing then NWR this evening. We are discussing street names named after women. Apparently there is a dearth of them all over the world.

Hope everyone has a good day.

NannyJan53 Mon 16-Jan-23 07:24:16

Thank you Ashcombe we have never been before, so will be interesting. x

annsixty Mon 16-Jan-23 07:25:26

A very early, for me, Good Morning from Stockport.
I can’t report about the weather as I am still in bed but at least there is no wind and I can’t hear rain.
It is very dark.
Another duvet day for me yesterday as I still wasn’t well.
I must make an effort today though as Sainsbury’s are due to deliver .
Hope holidaymakers enjoy their time away and poorlies feel some improvement.
Have the best day you can everyone .

baubles Mon 16-Jan-23 07:33:07

Good morning all from snowy South Lanarkshire.

Good luck with your scan Mick.

Safe journey Nannyjan.

Yesterday was the first Sunday since before Christmas that DH and I got back to our usual routine of meeting up for brunch after I’d been to Mass. we both enjoyed it.

Off to work today, no doubt another busy day.

Have the best day possible everyone.

harrigran Mon 16-Jan-23 07:33:36

Good morning from the NE where it is -1 and forecast to snow.
I am going to have a quiet day catching up with TV and doing crosswords.
Our Sunday dinner was delicious and SIL took some of the leftovers home with him.
We spent an hour or two trying to reorganise the music room but ended up putting furniture back where it was, the piano was always in the optimum position.
Have the best day you can.

Marydoll Mon 16-Jan-23 07:42:19

Good morning all from Glasgow, where its -2°C. At least its not snowing GMBatty, it's probably on its way.

I hope your scan goes well, Mick.
Safe travels to all.
Another groundhog day for me, I'm still struggling and fed up being unable to do much.

Have a pleasant day folks and for those who aren't up to par, have an gentle day. day.

Grammaretto Mon 16-Jan-23 07:43:08

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.
It's supposed to be sunny here today.
I'm going on the U3A walk so must make a packed lunch.
I bought a shopping trolley for trips like yours BlueSapphire . I used to take my heavy pottery to craft fairs so I could use the bus.
Nowadays it's the green option! And they come in bright colours.

Good luck Mick for the scan. Take it easy.
I took my specs off and lost them while taking this photo yesterday.

Grammaretto Mon 16-Jan-23 07:45:25

Marydoll flowers and ((hugs))
