We see stuff with our eyes but it’s the brain that makes sense of it, often wrongly grin

We were driving down a country lane late one evening and saw what we both thought was a small monk by the side of the road. Returning next morning we realised it was two black sacks, one on top of the other! confused

😂
It really looks like a scary Batman Katek would really make anyone jump.
Eyes really do deceive, we once had a black cat and after he died I thought I kept seeing him around the house, a scrunched up bin bag, a black shoulder bag and so on looking like a curled up cat.

There’s a broken sign on the A1M - Bowes Incline going North. The workmen have put a black bag over it and drawn a face at the top - scared the life out of me the first time I saw it - it’s like a ghost!

I remember my grandma asking why that woman in the yellow raincoat was standing by the side of the road.

It was an AA phone box. 😉

Don't have a photo, unfortunately, but I was once convinced that I had seen a statue of Our Lady in someone's back-yard.

When I looked more closely, it turned out to be a furled up garden parasol.

Later, I asked DH and my brother on two separate occasions what they saw, and both answered "Our Lady of Lourdes", but could see it was a parasol upon looking more closely.

😄 I know the episode you are referring to.
I never would have guessed this was a horse.

Love this! So reminiscent of that scene when Del Boy and Rodney emerged from the mist.
