Urms that’s a funny Matt this morning. Just saying about migraine. I get the zig zag line aura so if I can take paracetamol immediately it doesn’t develop. I have to keep tablets in every handbag and my car just in case.

We had GS from school last night and his talking is really coming on. It’s like he’s just decided he wants to talk now at 8. The heartbreaking thing is he’s hard to understand so we still have to say ‘show us’ I was laid awake in the night racking my brain to think of something he was asking us for last night. We just couldn’t understand and he looked in every cupboard bless him. But we prayed for this so we will help him all we can.

Shopping today for luggage for our friends 60th birthday and a new lamp for the dining room so a fairly chilled day.

Good morning from Sefton. I can't hear wind, rain or crunch. Sounds like a dull grey day although sunny periods are forecast.
Have had a busy few days. Yesterday flew by with Zoom Zumba swiftly followed by Pilates in a nearby town, lunch then food shopping in different nearby town. Our local supermarket leaves a lot to be desired. It's cold, gloomy with lots of gaps on the shelves.
Zumba in the community this morning & a visit to the fish man then that's it for today apart from some admin paperwork I really should push around file.

Well, the sky is lightening now on the Angus coast and the clouds are being dyed pink by the rising sun - although we're forecast a grey day. It's also supposed to be breezy, so I shall be hanging out the towel wash before I go down to tai chi 🤞. In the two miles or so between here and the hall there are two lots of roadworks, each with three-way lights. One set I can avoid, but the other set is on the only way into town and is causing long tailbacks. I was down that way yesterday and there wasn't a workman in sight - just those infernal lights!

We went to Conway yesterday. It started drizzling so we didn’t stay too long. Had a pleasant evening -Pizza Hut for tea followed by the Tom Hanks film A man called Otto. We both enjoyed it.

Our last day here today before we move on tomorrow. This evening we are booked in for a meal at our favourite gastropub close by.

Good morning all.

A difficult week all round at the moment. We have childcare every day bar one this week. DD2 has really bad flu and has had a temperature of 40c since Sunday. Yesterday she was prescribed antibiotics by telephone appointment which I got for her and dropped round. I rang the bell and left that and some shopping in her porch. She really hasn’t eaten anything much at all and she’s slim enough as it is.

DGS aged 21 months was in hospital right up till Christmas Eve, late pm with RSV and he has had yet another infection with a high temperature last week but nowhere near as bad. DGD aged 4 is very upset and worried her mummy would have to go into hospital like her brother and she refused to go to ballet after school on Tuesday. I took her to our home where DH was looking after DGS. They looked really pleased to see each other and hugged but the peace didn’t last. She lined up all her playmobil figures who were waiting in a queue at the playmobil zoo which resulted in the toddler kicking everything away. DH actually shouted at him but he wasn’t in the slightest bit phased but his sister promptly burst into hysterical tears at having her game ruined. We kept them apart till it was time to take them home to their parents. They are fine on their own but a nightmare together. I do hope they grow out of this intense sibling rivalry. Their older cousins didn’t behave in this way.

Frost free morning, the first for several days and very welcome. U3A book group this morning and admin this afternoon. Not much oomph here at present which is worrying but then I never did get on well with January.

The French foundling sounds delightful; hope grandMattie’s buyers are genuine and glad Michael is safely home, as is Urms. Quite a cheerful kitchen this morning!

Good morning everyone from a grey and damp Northampton, 3° outside. Supposed to be similar all day. Will try and venture out to dance classes after an early lunch. I haven't been since before Christmas, so will have forgotten every step I've ever learnt!

Enjoyed my film about Elisabeth of Austria yesterday, although I am sure that artistic license was freely used. At least it was an afternoon out with a glass of wine and popcorn!. Mightily annoyed coming home on the bus to find that it did not turn into our road as it does normally, but went on to take a detour. The driver said that the road was closed, and we had to beg him to let us off, or we would have had a long dark walk home from the next stop. Shall try to find out what's going on.

Sainsbury's delivery this afternoon when I get back from dance, then a nice long sit down before I get my tea. Yesterday's chilli was lovely, and three portions left over to put in the freezer. Might be egg and bacon tonight.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently just 1° and dry. There are frost flowers on the cars. Mick it sounds like you enjoyed your trip. Grandmattie fingers crossed it all works out. I was very lucky when I moved to my bungalow and had a buyer lined up.
Yesterday I stayed in my jammies all day. I haven't done that for years, unless I was ill. I had haggis neeps and tatties for dinner and a woeful plate it was! The tatties had lumps and so did the neeps.
Today I don't have plans. I'll see what the day brings. I'll sort out my art materials as the class starts up again next Thursday. I'm really looking forward to it. A lovely message from my aunt pinged in early. She and my uncle are on a cruise with friends who never stop moaning. Then another message arrived from dd who has lost all her baby weight and is thoroughly chuffed. More haggis tonight and hopefully better mashed potatoes! Have a good day all.

Meeting a friend for coffee this morning. Her DH had open heart surgery on Tuesday so I’ll be getting all the news. Hoping it’s gone well. Then I must get my car washed before a trip to the High Peak for DGS’s birthday on Sunday. Hoping to do some shopping on Saturday ready for my holiday next month.

I made a cake yesterday which needs some cream cheese frosting. What are the odds that by the time I manage to get out to get some cream cheese, I will only have half a cake left - or any?

Good morning Mick and everyone from a rather cloudy Carlisle where it is 0C . Last night the sky was clear all evening with Venus large and bright, the crescent moon rising later to hang below it. Really beautiful.
A good trip by the sound of it Mick. I expect you already have your sights on another?

This morning, the ironing plus a bit of a wipe around in the kitchen. The lengthening days are bringing an urge to clear more stuff out but I can't think there's anything major.
There's a Tesco delivery due at lunchtime. My bill remains the same even though expensive things like meat and wine aren't figuring on it at the moment. No, I haven't given them up, just getting it elsewhere... game is still in season and I get it locally.

Must also get out and post some letters, they have the old stamps on them which can't be used after the end of this month. Then I shall catch up with reading.

My sympathies to all you migraines, I suffered all my adult life. Not only do you suffer the pain etc but the fear of getting one when travel or a social occasion is due. I still get mild ones and ocular migraines after the menopause.

I'll now wish you all the best possible day and get on with that ironing!

Good morning all from a dull W Kent. Yesterdays shopping trip went well although I am beginning to realise that DH can't walk so far now. We managed a nice lunch out which perked him up and everything got done. Off this morning to a U3A coffee morning, we have joined one nearer to us and this is an invite to meet some members and look at groups, we shall see.

DH is enjoying his new car, I am enjoying the fact that he is making even more progress and is finding interaction with others much easier than he thought.
I sympathise with you GG having witnessed the horrendous migraines DH suffered with for years. For whatever reason they just stopped a few years ago.

Urms that’s a good idea which we will definitely try. Right up to the last month he always took us to what he wanted. We understand foods he asks for. Thinking about it now he could have been asking for calpol as the word sounded like pol. It’s high in the cupboard so he wouldn’t have seen it. I messaged my son to tell him. He was going to ask his key worker if they could shed light on it. She was very excited yesterday as we are I hope he is a right chatterbox. 🙏

Thank you for your good wishes, the sumatriptan has helped with the headache, now it’s dealing with the side effects, muscle and joint aches and general weariness.

I have till 8.45 am tomorrow till be up and at em as we have the four youngest grandchildren tomorrow with two of them all weekend (2 x 3yrs 1 x 5yr and the 7yr old) Pick up from two different schools at different times, pick up The Imp from pre-school at 11.50, F will be with us all day as he hasn’t got nursery tomorrow. The Imp is so excited to have his cousins here, I just hope they play nicely as he thinks that the playroom is his as is the children’s bedroom.

I hope your DD feels better soon Glammagran it is such a worry for you.
Gingster my DH was struggling to walk far but we went to a physio who has given him some exercises and last weekend in London it went a little better. I hope the neurologist has some answers.

We had fun yesterday at the club drawing with charcoal and chalk on cardboard . The tutor told us to look for charcoal in the ashes of the log burner !
He is a keen recycler , and motivator , even our most resistant members turned out great drawings
