I was going to post this on the Gloomy thread but thought I'd start a new photograph thread so we can see how the year develops in pictures.
This was taken yesterday from Hungerford Bridge - it's not a great photo but shows St Paul's shining in the drizzly cold gloomy early evening.
Toby, cooling off in the shady hall.
Reading in the sand dunes at the bottom of the road,
A lovely ginger cat belonging to my nephew.
I love your photo Ali08!
I'm drawn to the words/image contradictory and complimentary messages - the men (to all intents and purpose) "lounging about" waiting whilst working... but also not currently working - nevertheless togged up for combat/action... and then the sign "Danger men at work "!
Are they the "danger men" at work?
Could it be that there is a warning to the public about them being at work...
So many thoughts on this one.
The men are undoubtedly at work.
This is my favourite of all the photos here.
Thank you for sharing it.
What is the usual danger at that door that we must be aware of (as we may be in danger)?
The Jealous Wall in the grounds of Belvedere House in Ireland, taken on a beautiful day during my holiday nearly 2 weeks ago.
..and a beautiful sunset
Lovely walk near to home recently
Sunshine through the foxtail lilies in the garden.
Or not!
I love this photo, taken at the botanical gardens; it looks as if they are on lookout!
And sunrise
When the sea is like a mirror at 6.30 am and meets the sky.
A swan tenderly caring for her fluffy brood, seen this week.
A scene of tenderness and love this morning.
