I was going to post this on the Gloomy thread but thought I'd start a new photograph thread so we can see how the year develops in pictures.

This was taken yesterday from Hungerford Bridge - it's not a great photo but shows St Paul's shining in the drizzly cold gloomy early evening.

A very brief spot of sunlight yesterday made the crocuses open

This little robin appears each morning on my wing mirror whilst I’m warming my engine up

My Amaryllis has just come into flower. There will be eight flowers when all the buds are open.
The bulb was a Christmas present.

SachaMac

kittylester that’s a great spot, how lovely.

He is quite a regular sight, sacha. Our village is on a river and a few neighbours have ponds so are quite handy. In fact, a heron emptied our pond so we no longer have one.

Yes, I do know it's a heron but dh's quip made me laugh.

Taken last year in the rose garden of one of our great houses nearby open to the public. I love roses and they are so beautiful to photograph.

Just noticed this thread - here are my contributions.
Son in Sweden sent the Northern lights one and the other was taken on a recent holiday to Gran Canaria.

A bargain farview and I can see the reason for your name. Lovely outlook.

Cherrytree59 I agree Dumfries and Galloway is lovely. I was ok on the way up but I felt a little anxious on the way down when I suddenly became more aware of the height and how close to the edge I was walking. I was glad to get back to ground level !

Cherrytree59 Thu 02-Mar-23 10:49:59

Grannynannywanny I have similar photos taken 2 years ago with me at the top.
Love Dumfries and Galloway area smile
