Oh bless Urms. Thinking of you dear lady. X
Sewing on Girl Guide badges, aaargh!!
I am procrastinating and need to stop!
Welcome dear Kitcheners. Make yourselves comfortable. There is a tasty, virtually calorie-free buffet ready and waiting.
Oh bless Urms. Thinking of you dear lady. X
Oh heck grandmabatty, it will mend so please don’t worry. Your tale had me remembering the day I reversed off our drive into our neighbours car. Not a scratch on ours, sadly several on theirs. It seemed the end of the world, of course it wasn’t. Hope your car can be fixed soon, it’s easier to stop fretting once the car is back to normal .
Chin up urms, we’re all here for you both. Please try not to be anxious about what may be as of course it may not be. A hug coming your way
.
Three weeks will fly past soop. You know we’ll all have our fingers crossed for you.
Off to sleep now. It’s our 54th wedding anniversary tomorrow and we’re off out via the Apple shop where a magician is going to look at my phone
Sweet dreams everyone.
Oh Urms I hope your fears never come true.
Drat, Grandmabatty for your car mishap. Even as one is grateful no one was harmed, it’s still most annoying.
I had intended to do some housework today but instead we went out to a lovely farm shop. The sight of snowdrops, celandines and the first daffodils I am certain was better for me than dusting and hoovering.
I purchased the entire stock of carrot cake from the farm shop cafe for the Kitchen - help yourself! 🥕 🍰
TOYA. Xx
Urms💐thinking of you and your lovely husband.x

Difficult time in your life.
Urms, thinking of you both. 💕🙏
Good evening, Soop and lovely Kitchen people. I've had a couple of very busy days and I'm a bit behind on your news.
I'll catch up properly and return tomorrow.
TOYA, especially those with worries, pain or sorrow. Enjoy the special family get togethers, and good luck with appointments. NNGB.

Sending you 💐 Urms and hoping all your DH’s test results are ok, take care x
Oh dear Grandmabatty, you can only kick yourself so much! annoying though.
Good luck Yia both with the drugs, whichever you choose and Friday.
We won quiz last night, all four of us were well chuffed!
Oh Urms my heart goes out to you ❤️l
Urms 💐
‘Evening All’.
You are such a lovely and supporting bunch of folk. soops place is the best for a virtual hug isn’t it? Cosy and comforting and we do genuinely care about one another which is so lovely. My anxieties will continue for a week. Waiting for test results for Himself. I’m at sixes and sevens. Had a few tears today ‘thinking ahead’. I’ve given my head a wobble and need to get a better grip.
I went to see ‘Joyland’ today with a friend. Goodness, it was thought provoking but not light entertainment. A suicide, family undertones in Pakistan within a patriarchal society. My anxiety in the cinema alone with my thoughts didn’t help.
I got off the train and rang Himself. “Fancy a pint?”. I had 2 wines which relaxed me somewhat. He’s amazing. My rock and the love of my life. I looked at him bringing over our drinks and thought “not yet, please, not yet”.
Good luck with the knee specialist, Soop!
We had a delicious lunch out today. The best garlic mushrooms! Fillet steak medium rare served with thick chips, peppercorn sauce and salad. The pecan tart and vanilla ice cream was lovely. A glass of Prosecco and coffee. To finish the outing I drove to the only car wash for miles. My car was so grubby you couldn’t tell the colour and OH had to clean the mud off the number plates. It is now beautiful and shining blue. OH is off to his Beekeeping course shortly so I’ll watch some television. Dinner will be a bowl of Special K. Have a good evening - Urms, I hope you’ve had a good day.
I’m all caked out NannyTopsy
.
Sending (((hugs))) to dear Urmstongran and all kitcheners in need xxx
We are off out to celebrate eldest sons “0” birthday. It will be lovely to have four AC, their partners and GC all together, just a shame we will be without the fifth one.
Gillgran I used to take my mum for injections. They helped to keep the MD stable, so that she retained some vision.
grandmabatty what a pain! DH did something similar to our new car in the autumn.
I am at tennis. DGS has a 90 minute outdoor lesson all year round. There’s another hour to go and it’s getting cold in the car. They are with us tonight, so an early start tomorrow.
Glad to hear about your knee soop .
I was referred 3 months ago, but haven’t had an acknowledgement yet. I am trying acupuncture again, with a new lady. I stopped during Covid but need a bit of help at the moment. Walking any distance is very painful.
I have been keeping an eye on you all - lots going on, but not much cake! There is a malt loaf with fruit, cherries and walnuts on the side, along with some sausage rolls. Tuck in!
Time for the big coat and a walk round …
Good evening dear Kitcheners. It’s been a chilly windy day here, looks like there’s a cold snap on the way,
How very aggravating Grandmabatty but as you say nobody hurt
. Many years ago Mr.B bashed my brand new Subaru Forester on a wall, it was soon repaired and I was just glad he wasn’t hurt. Cars are just big lumps of metal, albeit expensive lumps of metal.
Hope your increased dose or the new meds are helpful Yia and the meeting with the estate agents is productive.
Urms
I hope your latest worries come to nought.
Oh no grandmabatty that’s a shame but so easily done, these things happen and as long as no one is hurt it doesn’t matter. I hope you can get a fairly good local company to fix it for you at a reasonable cost, sending ❤️
Yia, hope the new meds are helpful and good luck on Friday!
Good afternoon Kitcheners.
Hope all goes well with your DH gillgran.
Urms let’s hope your worries come to nothing, thinking of you.🌹
Just back from seeing my lovely Rheumatologist.I had the option start a new med and hope it works with not too many side effects, or go back to what I know with a stronger dose to start with.Better the devil you know I think.
Estate agents coming on Friday!!Found a couple of nice apartments overlooking the river also a couple of bungalows. It will be good to view and get an idea.
Have a pleasant evening all.
Good afternoon kitcheners. It's a short visit to the kitchen for me. I'm raging at myself. I have scraped my car and damaged the bumper turning too early out of my drive. I've obviously hit the wall. No damage to anyone else. Just my car and my pride and my purse.
Hi to all my kitchen pals, hoping all is well
We’ve just dropped DGS off home and picked DGD up, she’s at her dancing class just now and then we’ll drop her off at choir. The schools may have been closed today but the after school activities are still in full swing! She’ll be coming back to ours for her usual Tuesday sleepover but we’ll have a more relaxed morning with no school run.
Hoping Urms is feeling a bit better today, sending 💐
That school trip sounds amazing maw, I quite fancy going up there myself one day!
Hi gillgran
It is difficult to be positive about the eye injections, I am assuming that your H has wet AMD as did I.
The injections slow down the rate of deterioration as far as I can tell.
It is not a cure, there isn’t one.
I met people at the clinic who had been going monthly for several years.
Some gave up as I did in the end but that was more to do with my own situation.
My H had Alzheimer’s and in the end couldn’t be left.
The clinics were long and drawn out , a lot of waiting about.
4 hours out of the house was the norm and you have to be taken or use taxis as you cannot drive.
I hope very sincerely that your H has a better experience but I couldn’t fault the Consultant who I saw on every visit and always did the injection and the clinic staff were lovely.
Please let us know how it goes on Thursday.
My love to all our Kitcheners experiencing difficult memories or health issues. I wish you strength.
Appointment to see knee specialist at Ross Hall in three weeks time. Baggs will remember visiting me there after hip surgery. I shall be seeing the same surgeon.
Another lovely day. A few odd jobs to tackle. Ironing is top of the list.
