corner my apologies, I thought it was Friday but today is now Saturday and is Mr C's birthday. I am rather late but please say happy birthday from me and I do hope he enjoyed himself. Are you sure he is now 80? What a pity one of your sons could not visit but better if he keeps his bugs to himself.

Soop's warm and welcoming kitchen for kindly folk...
(1001 Posts)Welcome dear Kitcheners. Make yourselves comfortable. There is a tasty, virtually calorie-free buffet ready and waiting.
Aw SueDonim that’s just so CUTE! 💙
Hello, all! Hugs all round for those who want them. ❤️ We’re on our second night with GS - it was an early start to the day, at 5:45 this morning. Luckily, there were some nap times! He’s been very good, all told, although is missing his mummy. He went to our mug cupboard (does everyone have one of those??) and took out his mummy’s favourite mug then burst into tears. 😭 Luckily GF was to hand to cheer him up again.
Well be having a well-deserved rest once he goes back home tomorrow lunchtime!
Have a peaceful evening. TOYA. Xxx
‘Evening All’.
Glass of Merlot in hand here Jax so ‘cheers’!
A lovely day. Himself made his signature dish this morning - a family sized pan of chilli for tomorrow. No cooking for me todo then when my stepfather joins us.

We’ve had a lovely sunny afternoon. I’ve been out in Urmston town centre with L’il Miss. she had her pram (see photo) with ‘baby Alex’ in it under the covers. We went in the library (up in the lift, natch) where she spent ages, reading to me and choosing 3 books to take home. 2 were about dogs with beautiful illustrations and made her giggle. I think they are a hint for her mum and dad!
Then we sat and had warm drinks in the new Starbucks, enjoying a ginger biscuit each. As we left she asked “please grandma can we go in the park on our way home? I pinky promise (little finger extended here) to keep my coat zipped up.” Whose heart could not have melted? Mine did.
❤️
Pleased yesterday went well grannmarie some things eliminated.
Hope your Mr’s birthday is swinging along nicely corner you can breathe now!
Pax brook, chicken curry here (with sweet potato and mushrooms) for later, glass of wine in hand 🥂 cheers!
My newspaper has been read, just the crossword to tackle, Mr J was allowed a shower, the first for over four weeks, he was ecstatic! Fin is improving, so things are looking up.
Rugby today, including now, not sure about our viewing later.
Enjoy your evening all.
Good evening dear Kitcheners. We have had a lovely day with family and a delicious lunch. Feeling warm and sleepy now, supper will probably be a slice of toast or similar.
Lovely to see you Soop, I’m definitely up for joining the group hug ❤️
That’s sounds so yummy llfl you’re such a brilliant cook! I must try harder …. 🤣
A very big hug is on its way soop together with 💐 and 💕, you’re a very special lady
How sad about your lovely neighbour grandmabatty, I agree that you definitely have to seize the day and count your blessings. I’ve also been out in the garden today, I was well wrapped up with multiple layers and bobble hat, it was sunny but very cold here too, keeps you moving!
A nice glass of wine to look forward to this evening and a chicken curry
Here’s a hug 🤗 Soop!
I collected my new electric whisk this morning. I made a new cake recipe (the mixture had chopped plain chocolate, plain yogurt and olive oil, amongst other things) and was baked in my new Bundt tin. Fortunately everything worked beautifully. I’ll pop it in the freezer until next weekend when my granddaughter is coming to stay. She loves chocolate things. I might top it with a melted Mars bar. OH is now watching rugby so I might pop in the kitchen. Have a good evening.
The post I was convinced I had sent yesterday is nowhere to be found. Soop definitely up for a group hug. Grannmarie have they said what might be causing it? Atrial fibrillation? I have had two nicely busy days and have managed into the garden despite the cold. Today is very cold but I've pruned stuff and swept up and pulled out old dead plants. I have an ironing to do and I'm looking after dgs2 later. I had sad news about the death of a lovely neighbour. He died in his sleep. He and his wife gave me toys for dgs1 and they are the kindest people. Seize the day folk. I'm off to make egg sandwiches for lunch. Have a good afternoon kitcheners.
I appreciate you lovely lot more than words can say.
A gorgeous day. Wall to wall sunshine. An afternoon in my so-called art studio is planned for this afternoon.
A group hug would be much appreciated.
Thank you, Blossoming and Brook.
🥰
Urmstongran
Earpiece??
Headset - with a built-in mic so you can interact and speak with your fellow players,
Keep up, grandma! 😁
Sounds familiar Urmstongran our 8yr old plays/talks with his friends exactly the same.
Back home from an early meal at our favourite Indian restaurant (have been going there for 35 years) feet up and exhausted
nighty night X
‘Evening All’.
We are babysitting. I’ve just bathed L’il Miss.
“Pretend I’m a mermaid grandma and you see me and say ‘oh how amazing ... a real mermaid!”
And she then lies down in the bath and puts one foot on the other to look like a mermaid’s tail.
😁
Love it. x
The Boy Wonder had his shower and is now in the playroom on his PS. I just pecked him on the back of his neck. ‘Love you’. “Love you too”.
Didn’t realise he was talking to his school mates on his earpiece.
“Oh x that was to my grandma!”
Ha!
So pleased all went well today grannmarie, I’ve been thinking of you. Well done in completing all the tasks
Enjoy your day tomorrow visiting family Blossoming
Happy Anniversary to your DD and SiL BA, centreparcs is a lovely way to celebrate!
Hope your appointment goes well next week Yia and you get the required meds
I’m home now from the hairdressers and feeling much better!
Have a lovely evening all
I’m glad your appointment went well grannmarie, hope you don’t have to wait too long for the referral. Your husband’s leg wound sounds fearful Jax, sorry Fin is still poorly. Good luck for Tuesday Yia.
I’ve done very little today, we’re off out to see family tomorrow so wanted to conserve my energy. Have a lovely evening all x
Good evening dear kitcheners. I missed dropping in last night - I'd been on nanna duty all day and just where do they get their energy from?? It's DD1 and SiL's 5th wedding (wooden) anniversary today and they have all gone to Centreparcs for the weekend so I've managed a quiet day - a bit of knitting and a bit of catch up TV. Lovely after all the busy-ness of the last few days. Wishing you all a very pleasant evening. TOYA 🌷🌷
Good evening, Soop and lovely Kitchen people!🥰 Many thanks for the kind good wishes, your virtual support is so lovely and much appreciated. 💕
Soop, that sounds like a plan. Your health and wellbeing is so important, this operation will make such a difference.
SueD, it will be wonderful for you to visit your DS in America and see for yourself how he is progressing. He'll be cheered up to see you!
Cornergran, wishing MrC many happy returns on his 80th birthday tomorrow, enjoy your family gathering, 🤞your DS is well enough to attend.
YiaYia, I hope all goes well for your Rheumatology appointment on Tuesday.
My appointment went well, the staff were lovely and supportive. I did well with the monitored treadmill, pushed myself to complete the 6 minute protocol, it got much harder when they increased the speed and the incline! I ended up breathless and dizzy but no chest pain. So the results do not indicate angina so I am referred to Cardiology for further investigation.
DH had to wait in the cafe for 2 hours as only essential carers were allowed in the Cardiology suite. We then drove up to the Clyde Valley for a late lunch in one of our favourite hotels. I was ready for that!
Feet up watching Richard Osman's House of Games, I'll sleep tonight 😴TOYA
Good afternoon Kitcheners.I’ve spent the last couple of days cleaning blinds!what a job that is.😖
Jax your DH sounds just like my DS1,it took so long and many appointments to get his leg better, then of course he left it to long before getting treatment.
Hope Fin feels better soon.
Thinking of you Granmarie hope you were reassured today.🌹
My Rheumatologist has requested my presence,I’m to see him on Tuesday.I hope he can sort me out with the meds without too many side effects.
Have a great time tomorrow Corner relax and enjoy.
Enjoy your evening Everyone.
Im always thinking I’ve forgotten something corner, it’s sometimes a physical thing like my shoes for the gym this week other times is that I think I’ve forgotten to do something or go somewhere I put all my appts in my phone calendar with a notification set to try to help me remember!!
Just sat at the hairdressers whilst the colour is working it’s wonders! My lovely hairdresser has just made me a coffee too so I’m sorted 😀
Sorry to hear about poorly people, hoping things improve soon for all.
SueD so busy - Enjoy spending time with your little DGS
Hope the birthday celebrations go well tomorrow corner fingers crossed your eldest son can make it and you have a full house
I feel like I should be going out later to celebrate my new hairdo but I’ll be snuggled up on the sofa instead. At the end of next week we’re going away though to DDs in Cambridge and then onto Spain for a couple of weeks so I’m really looking forward to that 😀
I meant to say corner I get that nagging feeling too, usually unfounded, as I hope yours is. This evenings TV will be as yours.
Hi all, I too was exhausted just reading about your doings yesterday SueD!
We rarely eat cake llfl but Imogen is making me a coffee one, to be delivered Sunday for my birthday next week, it will last us days.
Lots of poorliness around corner, I spoke too soon re Fin and was back there today sitting. It looks like he has hand, foot and mouth as well as a strep throat, I’m pleased he was upstairs and me down!
MrJ off now to the nurse again, X 3 visits next week too, that will be the fifth week, the infection caused a wound that was 12mm deep, it’s now 5mm, it’ll be a while yet.
It’s very cold here today, we’re off to our local later for a catch up, wrapped up warmly, faggots for dinner. TTFN.
The cake sounds superb ladylfl but I’m sorry to hear your husband is resisting medical intervention. He must worry you.
Good to see you soop. Please take care of yourselves.
I’m out of breath reading about your activities sued. Good luck with the medication hunt. Sadly so common now.
Thinking of you today granmarie.
As organised as I can be for Mr C’s birthday tomorrow. Looks like we’ll be one down, one of ours still has a temperature and says he doesn't want to risk sharing his bugs with his Dad. I can see his viewpoint, doesn’t mean his Dad wouldn’t be very disappointed though. Our son has been working away from home this week, says he’ll decide tomorrow in case a night in his own bed brings a miracle. Wait and see time.
Does anyone else worry they have forgotten something when they seem to be organised? I’ve a nagging feeling there is something major that will only pop back in my head when it’s too late. . Daft woman
.
Have a good Friday evening everyone. We’ll be watching Death in Paradise and checking out Beyond Paradise .
