Good morning from a wet Stockport.
Just lost my message, my own fault, so I will just wish you all the best day you can have.
A famous matador gored by bull!
Terrible relationship with DIL - am I the problem?
Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark and dry outside at the moment in brackley this morning.
I have already sorted my day out, I will go to Bicester later than I usually do, as I want to see the new Steven Spielberg film the Fabelmans which is supposed to be a bio pic abut someone like him starting making films .
Take Care,
Mick
Good morning from a wet Stockport.
Just lost my message, my own fault, so I will just wish you all the best day you can have.
Good morning Mick and all from a brightening northwest coast.
Off to the dentist this afternoon with painful back tooth, troubling me for a few days, ugh. This means I will miss singing in the music club, but even without the tooth, feel under the (brightening) weather.
A cousin, clearing out, has sent me swimming certificates for my late father from 1925. As he was a horror, I’m throwing them out😁
Enjoy your film Mick and good news on the sale front grandMattie
Morning,
Hope you enjoy the film mick.
It’s very windy here today but it’s bright and dry so that’s a plus.
🤞all goes to plan grandMattie, and that you find a flat quickly, too.
It is a beautiful necklace Marydoll and I am sorry the medics use such frightening language.
Thanks all who are sympathetic with DMil's predicament. She is very resilient. It is those around her who panic. She reminded me she had moved house 17 times in her lifetime.
When the firemen and polis came banging on their door at 9am on Saturday morning and told everyone to leave immediately, she said she would go to her old school reunion as planned, and she did!
Good Morning all from very windy Harrogate, chilly too.
Welcome Kasf you will enjoy our group!
Great news about your house, GrandMattie good luck with the flat hunting, I, too love Bristol and its neighbour Bath. Lovely area.
Your misreading gave me the giggles Marydoll
Yesterday I had a face to face with the doc. I've been told frequently I need to see a cardiologist, but an appointment has not been forthcoming. She told me the cardiologist has inspected my various scans and apparently my heart is fine! What a relief! They are trying to find out if I will survive a Hiatus Hernia op, next month I find out from the respiratory department and finally I shall hear from the surgeon in March what my chances are.
On Sunday we had a lovely meal with DD1 and her family including her MIL who wants to move from Harrogate back to Whitley Bay where she came from. Her dog died earlier this month and tails.com want her to pay for the food they have ready to send!!
Have the best day possible folks!
Morning from a very windy Co Durham.
Like SUNSHINESALLY my DH isn’t himself, it been almost 3 weeks now. Will he go to see a doctor? No, of course not !!
Just waiting for a Sainsbury’s delivery.
Have a good day.
A late good morning from Essex by the sea. A bit grey outside but warmer than of late.
I've not been feeling great these past few days so I'm hibernating indoors.
Good news GM I do hope you find somewhere in Bristol and all goes smoothly for you.
Welcome to Kasf, this a lovely place to start your Gransnet journey.
Have the best Tuesday you can everyone xx
Dgs2 just walked seven or eight steps unaided and was very pleased with himself. He then touched my arm and said, "Gaga." I sent a message to dd and she said he's been pointing to the door and saying it for a while. I'll take that! 😂
Good Morning from a “part-sun” S Yorks.
necessity demands an easy day, got a big Consultant appointment tomorrow which is scaring me as I don’t know what’s up: shall be pooling generally and have counselling midday.
congratulations on the sale, Grandmattie and sympathies Marydoll, it could be that its a “conundrum” referral but the title of the clinic is scary. If you want a really good “feel good” film may I recommend a film that was on BBC 4 on Saturday: its a Finnish film but in English and has a lovely light touch and happy ending

May days go as well as they might! Bests for poorlies. Welcome Kasf
Welcome Kasf to this lovely thread.
Good morning from a brightening W Kent. Lovely catch up with DF yesterday, she has changed her political allegiance after a lifetime supporting one party, she is convinced those around her will change with her, considering where she lives I have my doubts. Housework this morning and hairdressers this afternoon.
So pleased for you gM a bit of negotiation works wonders, I hope you are able to find somewhere you like soon.
Marydoll I hope the hospitals can make up their mind soon.
Grammaretto I hope your DMIL's problem is sorted out soon.
Best wishes to all specially the bad back sufferers.
Good morning from a bright but showery Co Armagh
I’ve slept till nearly 8 am this last few mornings , for weeks before I was awake from 4 or 5 . Do you think I have just got used to the hour changing ? 🤣 just in time for it to be changing again 🤣
I have a run of birthdays in February, I might make a start on the relevant cards

Good morning everyone from a sunny but breezy West Yorkshire. I'm new to the forum and looking forward to making a few cyber buddies. 😃
Welcome,*Kasf*. I misread your post and thought you were looking for cyber bullies! 🤣
Good morning from Glasgow where it is grey, wet and very windy = a dreich winter day.
Looking on the bright side, I can carry on with some craft work. Working with copper wire is fiddly but satisfying.
I have necklace envy Marydoll, beautiful piece and I love your choice of colours.
Best wishes to all for a good day.
Best laid plans etc…
The 7yr old went to bed with a headache last night and has woken up with it still, so he is now ensconced in our children’s bedroom with his blanket and dozing .
I shall be up and down the stairs all day on nurse duties 👩⚕️🛌
Good morning everyone. It’s cold, wet and windy in my corner of Lancashire. My stomach seems to have settled down and I had a restful night. Nothing much planned for today other than housework. Have a good day all 🦩🦩
It's a bright West York's after a night of rain.I wantgo and see about a new mobile phone ,mine is always needing charging. That was quick GM hope you find a new place soon.
Good morning Mick and everyone from wet Carlisle.
I hope you enjoy your film Mick.
Yesterday was a pleasant day weatherwise so, having seen today's forecast, I went out in the garden before lunch and planted my tree. It looks more impressive than its predecessor which made little effort last year. It's my next job as I'm giving it a second chance and will go amongst the shrubs in the back. I also started pruning the roses, a task once done in March. No longer as they are sprouting now.
Today is laundry and housework followed by admin.
Having rumbled about intrusive and inappropriate videos on here, I note that GN have taken some notice. Still getting intrusive videos but now they feature older ladies! Don't know what they're on about though as they are mouthing silently.
Congratulations on the house sale grandMattie, I hope all goes smoothly for you.
Have a good day all.
Good morning everyone from a sunny but breezy West Yorkshire. I'm new to the forum and looking forward to making a few cyber buddies. 😃
Good morning from S Hampshire SunshineSally has shared the weather.
Good news gMattie, now for the next stage.
MrJ and his infected cyst have 2 further appointments this week at the surgery, at yesterdays it was photographed again and redressed with a seaweed dressing. Apparently its progress is ‘news of the day’ amongst the medics, I think he’d rather not have it.
More washing to do and I didn’t get to the farm shop yesterday, so that’s a to do.
Best wishes to those struggling. Enjoy the film Mick
🦩🦩
Good Morning Mick and everyone from a windy bright Hull.
Had an hour walk yesterday in the sunshine it was lovely I didn’t have my coat fastened up it felt warm, mind you I was walking at at pace.
Tonight we are looking after DGDs as usual and Grandmabatty I have my repertoire of singing to sleep songs usually starting with Hush little baby and ending with ABBA’s Thankyou for the music with many inbetween. 😂
Whitewavemark the time with GC is such a joy but you are right it goes so fast.
GrandMattie I’m pleased you have a firm offer you are happy with and hope the next 12 weeks go smoothly.
Grandmadinosaur happy birthday to your DIL 🎂
Wishing everyone a lovely day if possible. Virtual hugs to those suffering illness and stress 🌻🌻
Good morning everyone from a grey and overcast Northampton, 7° outside,.but sunny spells forecast later.
I managed to sort out the mysterious appearance of post on Sunday; I saw our postman yesterday and he confirmed that they are doing the occasional Sunday delivery. Who knew?
Yoga was a bit of a struggle yesterday, but worth going - it's good company, and I can adapt some of the moves.
Got into town yesterday afternoon, paid in my refund cheque from the holiday company, so will be paying my credit card off with that this week. Then had a mooch around the few shops we have left in town, and had a lovely coffee.
Made a huge quantity of chicken stew in the pressure cooker when I got home, enough for three meals, so I shall look like a chicken by the end of the week!
Health walk this afternoon, but before that I need to change the bed, do some washing and run the Shark over downstairs.
Glad that all is progressing well with your house sale grandMattie; good luck in finding your next home.
May Tuesday be kind to us all.
Good morning from a very windy NE yet again.
Spent the entire day sorting paperwork and still a long way to go, why did he keep mobile phone bills from 2000 ?
More of the same today, boring but I can't do housework with my bad back.
Had a phone call from a friend where we used to live in Cumbria, she rings me every couple of weeks and keeps me up to date with what is going on. She lives in a ground floor flat and has a mould problem which can't be rectified until someone identifies the source of it. I feel for her as she has arthritis and a permanent cough now which I believe is the mould spores.
Pleased your buyers upped their offer grandMattie and yes we all lived through the high interest rates, when we bought this house in 1971 it was 15%.
Have a good day.
Grammaretto, your poor MIL.
Good morning everyone from another bright sunrise on the Angus coast. Somehow I feel if the day starts bright you somehow carry that through with you, no matter what the weather does later.
Great news grandmattie! A great stride forward. As regards tai chi, two rows facing each other - wonderful exercise for the brain😁
Enjoy the film Mick.
Today I'm off to get my haircut and have a quick lunch and catch-up with my niece - always lovely to see her. I was only 14 when she was born, and carried her at her christening, so she's special to me. Lots of lovely memories - plus she's provided me with four great-great-nieces and nephews!
Have a good day everyone and I look forward to coming back later to read the thread properly x
