Good morning from a damp bit of Wiltshire, ‘tis a very grey-skied and chilly corner this morning.
Fingers crossed for you Marydoll, I hope you get sorted out quickly.
A poor night’s sleep for various reasons so not planning on doing much today. DH is exasperating me so I may well spend much of today in my craft room!
Take care everyone x

Hope your tests go well Marydoll and there’s some progress with your treatment. Easy for me to say, but I’m sure you’re in the best place for a while.

Good morning all. Greater love for her tai chi hath no woman than she who gets up in the dark for it!! I'm not even going to see a lovely sunrise as it's raining!
Marvellous news Marydoll - at last somebody has listened and acted. Best wishes for the way forward.
Glad everything is moving in the right direction for you too grandmattie. Lovely sunset photos from you and Ash - very different, aren't they.
It was a glorious day from start to finish here yesterday and the drive to the hospital was beautiful along lanes bordered by russet beech hedges towards snow-covered hills bathed in bright sunshine. And mud - lots of mud. I took a detour home via the hand carwash! I've never seen my car so muddy.
Today after tai chi I shall do my weekly shop and then return home to doze in front of the tv. Tomorrow I'm out for lunch with friends to celebrate the birthday of one of them in a little retro cafe (real china plates 😉) and then go straight on from there down to my daughter's because we're off very early on Saturday morning from there to watch DGD3's netball match in Stirling. This week there's been something on every day - next week the calendar is ominously empty. So far.
Have the best day you can everyone x

Good morning from Shropshire.

Childcare today.H arrived about half an hour ago and is tucking into his second breakfast.Playgroup this morning, a couple of hours at home and then school pick up for Miss M.
After we have dropped the children at home DD and I will go into town where hopefully I will collect my new glasses.

Marydoll I am so pleased the drs are taking your health seriously and hope that they come up with a treatment plan to help you.

Thinking of Oops and all with worries about family members💐it can be overwhelming at times.

Hope that we hear from monk soon.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Good morning from a cloudy but milder Black Country.

Lovely lunch with my friend yesterday. It was a Greene King pub and they do a lunch special of 2 meals for £14.49.

Talking to Mum on a video call later in the day she mentioned how she needed to go to town to buy blue shoes. I reminded her I had taken her to Pavers at a Garden centre the day before, where she bought a lovely pair of blue shoes. She had no memory of it shock

Today is my Thursday morning walk, where we have a cafe stop at the end for coffee and a natter.

Goodness Marydoll that was a shock! But at least they are taking you very seriously now, and I hope they can get to the bottom of it and improve your quality of life.

Thank you Ashcombe hopefully monk is just taking a break, or has gone away for a few days.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Good morning from a sunny Essex by the sea.

My very best wishes to you MD, I hope all goes well.
Have a great day everyone xx

Good morning everyone.
Had a lovely lunch yesterday with DD2 and in the evening a very interesting speaker at WI.
A bits and bobs morning for me today and an on line art class. Sewing club this afternoon.
Hope Marydoll gets the right treatment .
A good day wished for all.

Good morning from North Yorkshire. Cloudy and mild today. I had planned a day out with a friend but she is unwell so I’ll get on with some cleaning and gardening .
Marydoll hope all the tests result in improved health for you.
Enjoy KP GG. I went with DH some years ago and we saw the Princess Diana clothes exhibition.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all from soggy South Lanarkshire.

I’m like a half shut knife as they say in these parts. Another very broken night due to my painful back.

The first aid course yesterday was interesting although I skipped being the patient when practicing the recovery position but everything else was fine so I’ll receive my certificate in a week or so.

Marydoll, that was an unexpected development but so good that you are going to be taken care of properly.

Off to DS’s today, I’m hoping to dodge the showers so we can go to the cafe.

Have the best possible day everyone.

baubles Thu 02-Feb-23 08:22:17

Meant to say that the photos are beautiful Ash and Mattie.

Best wishes for your uncle Shazza.

brook2704 Thu 02-Feb-23 08:22:25

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s grey and raining today
Hoping all goes well with the tests and monitoring marydoll and something can be done to help ease some of your symptoms
Lovely pictures this morning, thank you all
I’ve a quiet day planned today with lots of jobs to catch up on so will see how it goes. If it does stop raining I’ll do a bit in the garden, fingers coseedc
Hoping all goes well today for your uncle Shazza
Sounds like a lovely day ahead GG13 enjoy!
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

GrannySomerset Thu 02-Feb-23 08:22:56

Like everyone else I am hoping Marydoll’s hospital visit produces some improvement. Pity nobody listened sooner!

Awaiting the arrival of the roofers to continue banging - dry at the moment so hoping they will be here soon. I was out yesterday afternoon so was spared some of the noise. Otherwise a nothing day though I have plenty to read for forthcoming discussion groups so it’s not a problem.

Aldom Thu 02-Feb-23 08:25:32

Marydol sending you my very best wishes for a good outcome from your hospital stay. Hoping you are able to rest a little during the day, but how wonderful that the cardiology team got on with blood tests, x-ray etc. immediately. Maybe some useful results /answers today. Keeping you in my thoughts. flowers

Chrissielou Thu 02-Feb-23 08:26:06

A bright start in Oxfordshire, it was almost spring like yesterday, dare I say!
Working at home today, am struggling a bit with shoulder neck pain, probably connected to sitting in front of a laptop all day. I had calcified tendinitis in my shoulder last year, so maybe a recurrence.
Marydoll I hope progress is made to improve your health problems and you're back home again very soon.

Grandmabatty Thu 02-Feb-23 08:28:28

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 10° and dreich. Lots of rain and grey skies. Marydoll I hope that they can find a way to help you. Grandmattie it's good to hear that things are progressing quickly.
Yesterday was a pleasantly quiet day for me. I pottered about the house doing some washing and hoovering and the day passed before I knew it. My bulbs in the garden in pots have all started to push through nicely so there looks to be a good show by March/April.
I didn't sleep well last night either as I have a slight cold picked up from dgs2 no doubt. It isn't much so I will go to my art class which starts up again today. I'm really looking forward to it. Then I have a delivery of coffee to look forward to later. Chicken in white wine with mushrooms for dinner. Have a good day all.

Here’s Matt.

Goodness - over 30 posts already! This has become such a popular thread hasn’t it? Lovely.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester. It’s dry here and currently 8°C according to my pal Alexa.

I’ve been asked to make the SOAP dish for my daughter and son in law today. She’s back in work after being on strike yesterday. Personally I think it’s a pointless exercise but I keep quiet.

My stepfather went out on his own yesterday to fetch his newspaper. Yay! That’s the first time in weeks and it really neatened me to hear about it. His friendly newsagent (he’s been collecting his newspaper from the same shop for 30 years now) was delighted to see him back and asked him “who are you?”

Stilllearning Thu 02-Feb-23 08:28:55

Morning from slowly lightening S Lanarkshire.
That was a shock of a post Marydoll, I really hope the medics can come up with a plan which will greatly improve your quality of life. How many people who lack your perseverance and ability are falling through the cracks just now?

Lovely sunset photographs, thanks to posters.

Lunch today with our lifelong ‘girls’ group, no doubt bemoaning the state of education today and glad it’s not us anymore!

baubles hope you managed your course yesterday and that your back is a bit better today.

Always thinking about those of us needing extra support just now, good wishes for the best day possible🦩

BlueSapphire Thu 02-Feb-23 08:30:20

Good morning everyone from a bright and dry Northampton, 9°outside, and sunny spells forecast.
Oh Marydoll, what a shock for you, but you must be in good hands and hopefully all necessary checks will be done, and medication found.

Had a bad night sleepwise; just hope I don't nod off at the cinema this afternoon as I am going to see the film 'Tar', Cate Blanchett starring as an orchestral conductor. I have booked to see 'The Fabelmans ' on Sunday.

Just a bit of pottering this morning, then lunch and off to the cinema.

So much busyness going on today, so hope today is a good one.

dragonfly46 Thu 02-Feb-23 08:33:28

Good morning from a brightish Leicestershire.

Not feeling myself this morning so nothing planned.

I hope they can come up with a treatment plan Marydoll at least someone is listening I just hope every one gets on the right page!

Oldbutstilluseful Thu 02-Feb-23 08:34:31

Good morning from NE Hampshire where it is slightly warmer.
Thank goodness that at last someone has paid attention to your deteriorating health Marydoll. It must have been a shock to find yourself in hospital but I sincerely hope you get the answers and help you need.
So many on this lovely thread are coping with health problems both for themselves and friends and family. I hope you all find some relief from your troubles and joy in your days.
Thank you everyone for sharing the beautiful sunrise and sunset photos. Please keep on sharing.

NanKate Thu 02-Feb-23 08:55:01

Thinking of you dear Marydoll 💐

Harris27 Thu 02-Feb-23 09:04:26

Good luck marydoll. Glad you’re getting sorted. Work for me today later and boisterous children. Had my referral for ear Monday need op to close my perforated ear. Will need hearing aid till then as the wait may be long.

Forsythia Thu 02-Feb-23 09:05:52

Good morning from the south coast where we have a clear dry day. I’m aching a bit from my keep fit for oldies class yesterday but I know it’s doing me some good. Today, a day spent pruning roses and clematis ready for spring growth. Possibly reading this afternoon. In other words, a quiet day at home.

Good wishes to all especially MaryDoll with her health issues although I don’t know the backstory being an irregular morning poster. Nevertheless, I send my warm wishes.

Greyduster Thu 02-Feb-23 09:07:39

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a rather murky South Yorkshire. Lovely photos on here today! My first very short foray in the car went well yesterday, though my sudden unannounced emergency stop frightened the willekers out of my son in law. We will go out for a longer run again today, and after that, I’m flying solo. I managed to get up into the top garden yesterday, and goodness it’s a mess. It’s going to need a lot of work this year. DH would have started already with clearing and pruning, but it will have to wait until I can get some help in. It’s going to be a while before I can do “proper gardening” again.
Marydoll I hope your investigations go well and there is a treatment plan for you.
Have the best day you can folks.

EkwaNimitee Thu 02-Feb-23 09:08:10

Good morning Mick and everyone from grey Carlisle where it's getting steadily darker and is likely to rain shortly....just as I'm about to go out. I have an appointment at the optician's, rather overdue so I guess new glasses and a big bill. One consolation re that is that I saved an awful lot of money yesterday. Shocked by the large quote for travel insurance, I hunted around and found a respectable company I'd used before. They gave me a much lower quote which I accepted. I wondered if the other company had inflated their quote because I'd made a successful claim on them for a cancelled holiday last year.

Marydoll, I hope they give you a thorough going over and can tell you exactly what's what, and finally get to improve your condition so you can start getting a decent standard of life again.

Got to be off, have a good day all.
