Morning from an overcast S Yorks.

At the consultant’s yesterday TMI stuff he said I should have been referred by the GP’s in December on the 2 week cancer? referral system.
So waiting for colonoscopy and US appointments mobile by side to catch the calls. Glad something is actually happening and quickly and a bit of "glad is being taken seriously" there too..

Marydoll so glad you’ve got your rapid response, taken seriously, all the best. And bests for uncle, Shazza

today tis a gentle gym and natter to go with.

I have ordered a treadmill for the kitchen like Karmalady, I can see the TV from there as its a through room. Much as I like the gym, I need to do much more “little and oftens”.

Lovey pix, all, keep em coming.
Take care poorlies and have best days possible, all.

Good morning from a dry NE where it is 7 degrees but very windy again.
Yesterday's shopping trip was a bit disorganised, I forgot some of the food items I wanted but on the upside I found two pairs of trousers that I liked.
Made carrot and coriander soup while SIL sorted more paperwork.
Gosh, that was a shock didn't expect to see you posting from hospital Marydoll, hope you get some answers soon.
Hope your back improves Baubles, I know how you feel about getting down on the floor. My back is a tad improved but I am very wary of making certain moves.

Wowzer Marydoll! Yes you certainly grabbed my attention when I read your post! I do hope the Professor and his team come up with something to help you enjoy a more robust lifestyle. Fingers crossed for you today.

Great photos on here this morning. Nature at her most spectacular. Just beautiful.

Have a fabulous day out GG13 with your friend - lucky her what a fabulous present to receive. Hope all goes well for your uncle’s 2nd procedure today Shazza you are a good niece to him. Ginster 3 books in 2 weeks! I hope the novels are not ‘doorstops’. Good luck. Love the name of the street & cafe grandMattie! How quirky.

Time to make our pan of porridge.

Good morning Mick and all from a dull northwest coast.
DD arriving from the south later today so I will have a tidy up and cook a pork casserole.
My roots have been tended to, so no greyness.
A parcel arrived from Fortnum & Mason (my favourite shop) marked champagne etc but it was for the adjoining road with the same number. I took it round but all locked, gated and speaker phone.
“Just leave it by the gate” They didn’t come down or utter a word of thanks. Wish I had drunk it!
Hope you get sorted MD and thoughts to all with worries.

Good morning from a brightening W Kent. Off to art group this morning for a good chat. DF had to cancel meeting as her voice has disappeared, she sounded quite ill on the phone.
Marydoll at last, it sounds odd to say I am glad you are in hospital but hopefully this means you will actually get things sorted out.
gM glad the EA was helpful and things are moving along.
I love KP too GG
Take care everyone.

Good morning from Glasgow where it is a dreich start to the day. No need to jump out of bed and I am presently enjoying a kick start espresso, listening to the sound track of Out of Africa. Bliss.

You certainly did grab my attention Marydoll, Phew! Not where you want to be but you are in a better position there for your medical team to be on hand. Fingers crossed they get you sorted out. Meanwhile, enjoy the peace and quiet of your own single room ensuite, DH and I both had the same accommodation last year at Betty’s as it is being more commonly known by.

Phone calls to make and a script to collect after which, the day is my own to do whatever mood takes me.

Best wishes to all for a good day and hopefully a more positive one for those with troubling times.

I really fancy ‘Tar’ BlueSapphire - I think Cate Blanchett is a fabulous actress. I loved her in ‘Blue Jasmine’ one of my all-time favourite films.

Urmstongran Thu 02-Feb-23 09:31:45

Honestly - how rude and dismissive was that person to you hollysyeers? Grr.

Good Morning all from dreich Harrogate
So glad you are now getting a thorough overhaul Marydoll and maybe come out of it a new woman!! (Not too new or we won't know you)
My Sainsburies shopping has just been delivered, interrupting my train of thoughts. Next on my list is to get the washing machine going and make morning coffee! Might go into town if it stays dry. Hopefully will have a zoom meeting with my sisters this evening. Yesterday had DGD not happy reading, but I found a book she enjoyed. |She informed me her mum and dad are too busy rushing around to read to her (I know this is not true). They make time to help her with her school work.
What lovely photos of your sunsets, ladies. Your house move is certainly moving GrandMattie hope it works out well for you.
Have the best day possible folks.

Good Morning everyone from a bright sunny Algarve. The last week has been very cold over night but warming up later. When DH went to collect SiL from the airport last Thursday he had to scrape ice off the car windows!
SiL went home yesterday after a horrendous day of travelling, didn’t want to postpone his flight though as apart from the experience, he’s been worried about DD who thinks she’s probably got bronchitis but says there is no point in making a doctor’s appointment as she’ll be better before she sees the doctor. As she never admits to feeling unwell normally and sounds terrible over the phone, I’m worried about her.

I shall go and read all your posts now including reading MD’s properly as I’ve onlyskimmed through it. Marydoll I’m not surprised you are feeling awful after such a terrible night. I hope the day brings some answers. 💐

Belated Congratulations for yesterday to Whitewavemark2 💐

Marydoll Thu 02-Feb-23 12:35:58

Thank all for your kind messages. I'm on bed rest, which is an enathma to me! 😉

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 02-Feb-23 13:28:51

I was on bed rest once and wasn’t even allowed to read! Grim.

Taichinan Thu 02-Feb-23 13:46:29

Oh Marydoll if it would help I'd do your bed rest for you! Lazy, that's me

Auntieflo Thu 02-Feb-23 14:13:59

Marydoll you certainly know how to grab our attention.
Now then, does bed rest include playing on your iPad?
I do hope they get to the bottom of your problems, but you are in good hands now. All the very best.
We went out earlier to fill up the car with petrol. Our local Tesco has had none on the last 4 visits that we have made there. Trouble getting delivery drivers apparently.
Posted a letter back to NHS , who had sent me a survey asking about my recent overnight stay in hospital! I don't remember having a recent overnight stay.
Then we did a quick trawl of a few charity shops, looking for circular knitting needle. Yay.. I found one in the Cancer Research shop, but they were hidden away in the back. I used to have a couple but didn't get on with them, so gave them away, ages ago. Also found a new, sealed up, small wrist support, that I can wear at night.
So, a good result for all of £2.25.
Don't know how much the petrol cost. DH filled the car.
Have a good day one and all.
