What an awful time for you Megs having to cope with illness yourself and then to lose your dear husband. Life can be so cruel and I send you my deepest condolences. It sounds like you have the support and comfort you will need from your sons. Sending love and hugs. 💐

Dear Megs what a very sad time for you. You must be feeling so bereft loosing your husband in this way. Presumably you were not able to say goodbye. I hope your own health improves soon. Sending you so much sympathy flowers

We ate at 4pm. Was full.
Now at 6pm we both feel we ‘could have something’,

I’ve taken your take on things on board LLFL and we’ve decided that whenever we are over here we’re going to enjoy pudding/dessert on Sundays after my stepfather has gone home. We are too full to enjoy it any earlier!

Ooh - what to choose next week?
Clue: I won’t be baking. I’ll see what’s downstairs in the larder. Mini syrup puddings in a little pot, 2 minutes in the microwave with some custard would hit the spot right now.
However, it’s closed.
Till next week then ...
🤣

We don't very often, either urms. Not being lazy - usually too full to bother and there is always a fancy I've cream (or 2!!) in the freezer.

Ladyleftfieldlover Sun 12-Feb-23 10:14:55

Sunday is a Feast Day even during Lent! We always have pudding on Sunday and sometime two if we are having people over for lunch. Urms - crumbles are easy peasy! You don’t even have to make custard, just whip up some cream.

Urmstongran Sun 12-Feb-23 09:47:21

We never eat pudding. Of any kind.

So many crumbles today!
I’d better add mine (black cherry - delish)
Glad you enjoyed yesterday Marydoll

Good morning from a dullish North Leicestershire. Late posting as we've been watching Paw Patrol, in bed, with 2 dgd.

The rest of the household are going to watch Dgs4 play football this afternoon so I will have peace to cook a chicken for their return.

DGD4 is making crumpet stacks for brunch- hope we survive.

Thank you those who liked GD2’s wreath, she will be collecting it today and is already planning her next project….an Easter wreath. 😄

Good morning from a grey W Kent. A phone call to my brother and then get a casserole ready. A quiet half term for us with everyone going away.
Wyllow all the best for today.
I hope your eyes have improved gM.
Marydoll glad you had a happy day.
All the best

Morning all

A lazy day is planned, later we pick up our dear friend around 4.30 ish and all go out for a late lunch/early dinner.

Safe journey to the travellers, Wyllow wishing you well for your procedure.

Have a peaceful Sunday folks 🙋‍♀️🦩

Good morning Mick and everyone from a grey, dreary-looking Carlisle.
I was out early yesterday for a quick shop in Sainsbury's for the papers and a few things Tesco does not supply though, as usual, I came out with more than those. I'm trying not to look at hot cross buns until April and managed not to buy any. They have a bad effect on my waistline which needs to diminish!
In the afternoon I re-planted, in the back garden, the small cherry tree which had been banished from the front garden for non-performance. It's done well in the flowering department but hadn't put on any growth. I need more of a statement in the front.
It will be a quiet day today after hacking a hole in my clay soil yesterday. I have papers to read plus I am nerving myself to check over my tax coding having received what I think is an unduly low one yesterday. Every time I get a small increase in the state pension, I pay more tax which seems to cancel it out.

I hope everyone has a pleasant day, including you Wyllow! Good luck with the results of your procedure.

Good morning all from the Black country, curtains not open yet have not been awake long slept late most unusual.
Hope there's improvement on GM eyes.
Wyllow I believe is having a procedure today hope all goes well.
And safe travels to Ash and her DH.
No plans today roast lamb for dinner.
Will now drink my cuppa 🍵 DH as just produced and catch up with the 39 posts already waiting to be read. Although the speed it takes me there are probably more than that now.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone and may you all find some ☀️.

NannyJan53 Sun 12-Feb-23 09:09:43

Good morning from a cloudy, grey Black Country.

MrJ was on a cycle ride yesterday with his group, so I started cleaning the Upvc, and then started cleaning windows. I do this twice a year whether it needs it or not smile

Then a lovely meal of Lamb Tagine with Couscous.

Gym this morning, then hopefully a relaxing day. Roast chicken in the Air Fryer tonight.

Welcome Romola wishing your DD a very happy Birthday!

Wishing you all a peaceful Sunday

I think I need to look in the freezer for some bacon... Really fancy a bacon butty now.
