Please can anyone recommend……

After much research, I have bought a de-bobbler. It has a large round head and a spinning disc inside, so that it cuts, not tears. A big waste compartment and either batteries or plugged in with a long cord. I used the plug

First try was on a thin woolovers jumper with stripes, including white stripes and it looked so tatty, the small bobbles were all over and the white looked grey. I was going to throw it out. Flat on the ironing board, very quick, easy and very satisfying with an excellent result. That jumper will be good for another season

Next try was on a textured hand knitted merino, heart in mouth for this one but again the result was excellent. I was very aware of the sharp blades so held it lightly

The waste compartment filled mostly with the woolovers stuff and some pink hm, I could see the cut bobbles clearly

Next step is inside out washing, then bagging carefully to store for next year

The de-bobbler that I settled on was called beautural and they have it on amazon but I had one brand new from ebay ( I never did renew prime)

The best jumpers I have had from M&S have been merino ones which don’t bobble. Even expensive jumpers from Toast (alpaca) mix have bobbled.

Marydoll why have M and S become so bobbly I ve worn a sweater literally a few times I bought it just over a week ago and it’s full of bobbles already I m loathe to take it back as I like it

I have one, not cheap, which after wearing it only twice, it's bobbled.
I really like it, but will probably have shaved most of it away in the end.

I’ve had a cheap one, about £10 if I remember right and it does the job really well. Family borrow it as well, so I don’t think you need an expensive one really.

MrsTeacup The best I’ve found is Essence Waterproof mascara from Wilko! Cheap as chips and it works. Best of all, I’m not allergic to it 😃

I have a rechargeable one from Lidl. I charge it, using a USB port.

You definitely need it for M&S sweaters!

I have a comb one from Toast, but tbh I think a sharp pair of scissors used very carefully does the job and doesn’t pull.

I have a good battery powered one from John Lewis. However unfortunately its no longer in stock when I checked online. Try Argos or The Range.

I have both a pilling comb and a battery operated lint shaver - buy a sweater from M&S and you are going to need one or both!

I have a battery powered debobler. Lakeland I think. Have used a BIC razor but be very careful.

I asked the shop where I bought a cashmere sweater and they recommended a sweater comb as these are not as damaging as battery powered. I’m waiting for one that I ordered through Amazon.

Is there such a thing as truly waterproof mascara? I have tried so many but always end up looking panda like. I am often shedding a tear at the silliest of things on TV and have now got to the point of just not wearing mascara so wonder if any of you ladies can suggest one that actually works please ones?

I haave a battery powered one which I got from you-know-who some time ago. I think it was described as a 'fabric shaver'. I've made good use of it on my Woolovers jumpers which do tend to bobble conspicuously.

I have used a stiff suede brush quite effectively. (as in metal wiggly spiky bits)
