Each day I try to write three things in my gratitude diary that I am truly grateful for, even if down in the dumps or disappointed with something.
What three things would you put in your diary for today?
Mine:-
Went along to music club although tired with a bad back.
Daughter had a big promotion.
Her health scare was unfounded.

1. After two weeks of feeling absolutely awful i am feeling better and only a very faint positive covid test
2. I managed to shower after ….. days!
3. Had a lovely walk with my Puppy ‘Isla’ without needing to sit down at every bench.

You should be positive,
I went to the club and my daughter had some good news. A great day 😊
Not my back was bad and the health issue was nothing. They are negatives.

Enjoying time with grandchildren who arrived yesterday for the week-end although they are both off to individual parties for most of today.

Nice e mail from ex neighbours where we used to live, also now moved too and invited us to call in when we are next in their area..

I managed to get all the fruit and veg I needed (even tomatoes) from my Sainsburys shop.

Hearing that GD is managing anxiety better.

Finished shredding late DH’s paperwork now that estate work is completed - bittersweet.

Out for coffee with good friends.

My children and new granddaughter are happy and healthy.
A first date for many years arranged next week!
My very good friend who is always there for me.

News that a lovely couple are pregnant, just before they were to start IVF.
Laying in bed watching Saturday Kitchen with a cup of coffee

My husband found tomatoes, cucumber and eggs this morning

Lots of wins - and the sun is shining

My blood pressure readings are down at long last.
No telephone call from a friend who goes on at great length about a ghost she has. I have no belief in ghosts whatsoever and struggle to listen and make any comment.
My embroidery wallhanging is going really well and I lose myself in it.

I wrestled a clean duvet cover on my own.
It's a gorgeous spring day.
I am knitting hats for charity and enjoying the process.

JackyB Sat 25-Feb-23 10:34:38

I am grateful to my sister for coming to visit last weekend - first time we'd seen each other since the beginning of the pandemic
I am grateful to my (currently) favourite author for giving me a world to dive into now the Carnival week is over and I can relax (up to 15 of us together over Shrove Mon and Tuesday)
I am grateful that it was so sunny while everyone was here - although that's not directly true for today - temps have dropped radically.

Riverwalk Sat 25-Feb-23 09:44:01

Walked for an hour with a friend

Went to the library having recently re-joined - first time in about 10 years

Picked up a few yellow stickers from M&S

All very simple pleasures but I'm grateful for the civility of it all!

Greyduster Sat 25-Feb-23 09:09:37

I’m grateful that:
DD gave up one of her few days off to spend it with me.
That I managed some small tasks in the garden this week.
That I can still feel happiness at seeing the first signs of Spring without DH at my side to share it. There are hazel catkins in the lanes.

faye17 Sat 25-Feb-23 08:01:00

Early morning view from bed of red-brick chimneys of neighbouring homes - so comforting
One window filled with soft-pink blossom of tree planted 35 years ago by neighbouring friend long-gone to Australia...
Leisure to just lie and enjoy it all

hollysteers Sat 25-Feb-23 01:00:43

ginny Fri 24-Feb-23 22:52:47

DD2 arrived home safely from a trip.
