Good morning from a gloomy Sefton. It looks cold & damp out.
A busy day yesterday. Lots of laughs in singing & some new members. Everyone left smiling & chatting - result 🎼😀. A quick lunch then spent the afternoon with our 3 yr old GD. She is a delight.
Strength exercise on Zoom this morning. Then a visit to the fish man. What we will have with our fish remains to be seen when we get to the supermarket - it most definitely won't be turnip! Library this afternoon.
Take care all.

Good morning from Shropshire. It doesn’t feel quite so cold today🤞🏻

I have a hair appointment this morning for foils and cut then straight over to Stafford to pick B up from school. We are going out for a meal once DD and SIL are home from work to celebrate my birthday which is later in the week.

karmalady we have a month of bills too and we too find the visibility of the smart meter a great incentive.

I hope your appointment goes well Ash and that you don’t have to wait too long for your appointment Blue.Glad the hospital are keeping you informed Mick.

grandMattie you are doing so well with sorting your house out.

Hope today goes well with the boys Grandmabatty.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Good morning all.

DD2 and family round for roast beef dinner on Sunday with all the trimmings. Pineapple upside down cake followed. The name highly amused 4 year old DGD till we said she would have to eat it upside down. Picked her up from school today and showed her some photos of the Northern lights and explained they were a very rare sight where we live. She was fascinated by this and when we drove her home at 6:30 this evening she insisted she could see them but it was pretty cloudy and the light from the sun was still showing from below the horizon.

Our day for her 22 month old brother whom we have all day. He is a force of nature. He has excellent pattern recognition and is making a great start on 12 piece jigsaw puzzles though he hasn’t quite grasped the concept of edge and corner pieces yet.

Have a good day everyone and commiserations to those under the weather and with worries.

Good morning, cool out now and dull cloudy expected all day

I did have one of those satisfying nice days yesterday and did a good amount of tidying, especially of wool UFOs, deliberately started so I can have variety through the year. Good use made of zip lock bags, ready for when sneaky moths come looking for wool. Living room is nicer, spinning wheel moved upstairs, ready to use

Stove was lit, no ch for several days now and stove/insulated house/ecofan combo is maintaining a good living temperature throughout, with only one full fill per day. I am happy with the experiment. A big load of seasoned logs, sized for my stove, is coming next week and will be stored for the future. I believe that I can stop stove use in three weeks. It has been very helpful, it is a month of bills. Smart monitor has been a visible incentive and lighting is now perfected, top down, no smoke blowback

All meals sorted for today and a relaxing day ahead, with variety and evolution

Good morning, it’s a cold start here on the hill in Wiltshire.
Yesterday I waited for over an hour in the surgery before seeing my GP, no magazines, nothing so was thoroughly bored . He’s chasing up the ‘urgent’ Cardiology appointment at the hospital made a month ago. In the meantime I must rest as much as possible 🙄😄
DH and DD go back to her house today, I am meeting a friend for coffee then I will come back and give the house a good tidy up.
DDog has her lovely dog walker, she’ll be absolutely knackered after all the playing with DD’s dog as well so hopefully a peaceful evening!
The carpenter should be coming next week to build my new bookshelves and display cabinets, he’s a brilliant craftsman. Then the painter will come in 3 weeks time, the earliest I could get him to paint them just before our holiday.
My plans while DH is away are to tidy out some cupboards, sort out my wardrobes to take bits to the charity shop, clean the greenhouse and pot up some tubs. I can take my time doing it all and not having to cook every day will be bliss 😊
I hope to do some watercolour painting too.
So, lots to keep me occupied along with DDog walks - she’s such a poppet and wonderful company.😍
I hope you all have a peaceful day x

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 1° but too dark to tell what kind of weather. The road looks damp. Mick it's good that you have got some things sorted out. Ash I'm glad you got home safely. Grandmattie you're doing well. It's such a stressful business waiting for other people to do things.
Yesterday was a good day. Dgs2 was particularly sunny all day. Dgs1 didn't want to go home and wanted to stay with me. Cupboard love I fear! I napped in the evening as I was tired.
Today is a strike day so I have both boys all day. We will go to the park but after dgs2 has had his nap. I'm not chancing a repeat of the last time! I have a tesco delivery later on this evening so I'll have to stay awake for that. Have a good day all.

Good morning from an overcast E Kent. We are promised rain today - probably the first since the New Year.
I’m so envious of those who have seen the Aurora. For my 60th (late), DH took me to Canada, the to Iceland and finally, a flight (last February) to try and see them. Nada. I am 75 this year…
My bedding etc., was stuffed into my little car and taken to the MS centre the other side of Canterbury yesterday morning, to make way for more stuff. Today, going to Oxfam in Deal with books, CDs and vinyl. About half the stuff has gone. Furniture yet to dispose of.
I was exhausted by all the upheaval and cleaning and was quiet in the afternoon. I wen5 o bed with a crashing headache mercifully disappeared this morning.
Today, tai chi first, then lunch out; a man to give me a quite for packing and removing, finally, a Zoom chat with DH’s old school friends - I call them the “old farts”! They are very sweet and kind to me, DH was very well thought of.
I’m having trouble with the removals quotes as, although I have a leaving date I don’t have a moving in date. I must go to the solicitor this morning to see if they can help.
Have a pleasant day, Carpe diem/horam 🦩🦩🦩🦩❤️

Good morning all from a chilly Torbay.

It’s good to be safely back in my cosy flat after a few days away. My rail journey from Crewe went smoothly with no problems with the changes at Birmingham and Newton Abbot, although the original route planner wanted me to change at Exeter. There seemed little point in leaving the Cross Country train there as it would stop at N.A. en route to Plymouth.

Today I have an audiology appointment at Torbay Hospital, my first for quite a few years, thanks to Covid. About a month ago, one of my aids stopped working so it will be good to have that sorted out. Parking is impossible so I’ll go by bus.

Have a good day, everyone! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩
