Have just watched the first 3 episodes and really enjoyed it. Brilliant writing and cast. Diane Morgan is one of the co-writers, aswell as starring in it.

I watched the first episode yesterday and wasn’t too sure. However, I love Diane Morgan so watched episode 2 tonight. Was really good! Ended up watching the whole series on IPlayer.
Very quirky, funny and well written?

I'm hoping it will develop, amusing not particularly funny.. Yes I will stick with it a bit longer.

I watched the first episode a loved it as well. I am tempted to watch the whole series, but I want to spin out the enjoyment of each episode so I won’t.

I've watched 2 episodes but I'm not really enjoying it.It is getting rave reviews elsewhere though so I'm going to give it another go.

I'll give it a go because I love movies about lifelike humanoid robots for some reason. I hate metal ones that fall over or look like a dog, they give me the creeps.

I loved 'Humans' and there was a movie called 'I'm Your Man' where Dan Stevens plays a humanoid robot designed to be someone's perfect life partner. Lovely he was too!

Yes; I watched it for the first time on Friday night and thought it charming.

Sarnia Sun 19-Jul-26 07:21:40

It had me laughing out loud.

petra Sun 19-Jul-26 07:30:10

I gave it a go because of the very good actors but turned off after 15 mins.

Not yet, but soooo looking forward to it as I love Sue Johnston, one of our finest actresses, in my opinion.

BlueBelle Sun 19-Jul-26 08:11:16

I ve watched the first two and it’s ok, but I wasn’t rolling in the aisles. My daughter really enjoyed it and told me it was a must watch, ummm I ll watch anther one when I ve got nothing to do

I like Sue Johnston and love Diane Morgan. Quirky and great, often understated humour.
I've just seen a few episodes so far and am enjoying it.
I will try and space it out but probably won't succeed..

I thought it was utterly brilliant and am now watching the whole series again. Performances from both Diane Morgan and Sue Johnston are simply outstanding. It had me laughing out loud but also moved to tears watching Sue grieving for her much loved husband.

I've watched the first episode and loved it! The characters are brilliant, the script is witty and the whole idea is clever and original. I know the android idea has been done before but not in this way for a sitcom.

Agree with others who like this series. It’s humorous but there are bittersweet moments and sad truths about ageing.

polnan Mon 20-Jul-26 14:00:49

I have watched the first episode,, amusing? thought provoking,, my friends and I have had a huge laugh about some of the implications,,, not really far fetched, I can see that happening in the future, perhaps not mine, but .....

PinkSweetPea Mon 20-Jul-26 14:04:10

I ended up watching the whole series on Iplayer over the weekend. Loved it and always enjoy anything with Sue Johnston in. Hope they do a second series

Grandmotherto8 Mon 20-Jul-26 14:17:10

I thought it was excellent. Sue Johnson was fantastic in her role, as was the writer and robot, Diane Morgan. Her co-writer is Sarah Pascoe (I think), who played the delivery person.

Chestnut Mon 20-Jul-26 14:57:19

Would I want a robot carer? 🤔

If it was really lifelike but I'd probably avoid looking her in the eye. Linda is okay but does have a weird smile.

I think I'd be too scared it would suddenly malfunction and do something really weird. I'd almost be expecting it to happen. I might eventually relax and learn to live with it I suppose but the possibility would always be there.

Also, surely there would be an issue with privacy. The robot could be filming everything you say and do and a human might be watching it. Would we ever know?

I loved it - binged watched it.
I know people have been put off as it seems to be about robots and AI, but it is really about, old age, loneliness, families, grief.
Really excellent writing and cast.
Can't recommend it enough.
I would definitely have a Linda if I could.

vegansrock Mon 20-Jul-26 15:07:31

Loved it too.

Jojo1950 Mon 20-Jul-26 15:16:15

I thought it was dreadful!

Plevey08 Mon 20-Jul-26 15:19:48
