Those who believe in the monarchy should give their heads a wobble- members of the Rf don’t have to do anything apart from be born into it. They don’t have to have any qualifications or apply for it - they just are royal. As such H and Ms children are grandchildren of the monarch and have every right to these made up titles. The supporters of this feudal system should be tugging their forelocks at its members not slagging them off - you can’t pick and choose your royals , that makes a mockery of an hereditary system which you support.

There are many European Princes and Princesses but the titles are rarely used except when there is a formal occasion which warrants it. They also work. Our RF have been a bit slow, but King Charles is really paring it down now. And you have to. Princess Anne works hard and makes no fuss about it.
Harry’s problem is that he is not fit for anything but moaning and creating a media circus around his dreadful privileged life. I guess now his chance of becoming heir to the throne is virtually nil. He could go back into the army - if they would have him after the terrible things he said

Another dead cat to divert us all from the mess the UK is in under the Tories.

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 10-Mar-23 12:49:41

You seem to like your dead cats today Grantanow. Whatever titles the king decides to bestow on his family is hardly some conspiratorial diversion tactic.

Keffie12 Fri 10-Mar-23 12:50:41

They were entitled to those titles as soon as Charles was on the throne.

H & M have accepted those title's so the children have the choice as to whether they use them or not when they are older.

The title's won't be used unless it is formal settings as children. Harry doesn't use Prince anymore. It's the media that use it.

Harry has never said he hates the RF. He has said he doesn't like the behaviours of them, mainly the royal staff, the media and Camilla. Unfortunately William office in the past few years now too

He shares. He doesn't whine. He shares re his mental health struggles to be of service to others.

Harry and Megan have done and continue to do so much for mental health charities and more others besides.

You don't read about that here because it doesn't suit the media narrative, of hounding them

I could carry on. You get the jist

As I understand the GC of the monarch are automatically Princes or Princesses unless the titles are declined which Princess Anne and Prince Edward have done for their children.

As soon as Charles became King Archie & Lilibet became Prince and Princess.

Yes.
And Lady Louise and her brother were/are entitled to the titles of prince and princess from birth. Their sensible parents chose not to use those titles although the children can decide for themselves at age eighteen. Harry and Meghan, who have renounced royal life, have chosen as quickly as possible to avail themselves and their children of these titles. One has to wonder why ££££££££££££££££

Calendargirl Fri 10-Mar-23 12:57:40

Harry doesn’t use Prince anymore

Really?

If you like to take a look at his ‘Spare’ book cover, ‘Prince Harry’ is emblazoned across the top Keffie.

micmc47 Fri 10-Mar-23 12:58:48

Why is anyone remotely interested in what the next provocative, spiteful ploy is from these two hypocritical, self-obsessed creatures? They want to be out of the spotlight and to avoid publicity? Excuse my deep belly laugh...

katy1950 Fri 10-Mar-23 12:58:59

I'm fed up with the lot of them none of these children should have titles it's medieval

Zoejory Fri 10-Mar-23 12:59:03

Come on now. You are Omid Scobie

There is an awful lot that can be argued against your list.

I do wonder if you've actually seen and listened to Harry's endless comments. Just because you don't think he's whining doesn't actually mean he doesn't whine. Nor will your assertions make others change their minds.

Fact is people are not forming their opinion from the Mail or any press outlet. They are forming their opinions from what he's said and done.

I could carry on but I can't be bothered

I aways wondered why/how the late monarch had acquired a West Indian nickname : "little bit" or 'li'l bit'.

It suited her so why not pass it on?

It was apparently because she couldn't pronounce Elizabeth when she was a small child.

^Harry doesn’t use Prince anymore^

Exactly.

And when they were at a function, Meghan introduced him on to the stage saying Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex

That's available on Youtube to see. Not from the press. From her mouth.

Anniebach Fri 10-Mar-23 13:02:54

As someone who has worked for mental health charities for
many years i would so like Harry to be questioned by the law
on his claims that illegal drugs helped his mental health and treated as other drug users are treated.

Do much for mental health? he needs to spend time with those who are mentally ill caused by illegal drugs.

BeneathTheHowlingStars Fri 10-Mar-23 13:03:51

I can't believe they can't see the hypocrisy of it. He left the 'institution' because it's apparently so damaging but he is happy enough for his children to have the titles that link them to the very same institution. I wish they would disappear up their own over inflated egos and never be heard of again.

Calendargirl Fri 10-Mar-23 13:11:28

I suppose it’s one way round the American idea that titles from foreign countries are not accepted. She will be enrolled at a school or later given an invitation to some function, her first baptized name Princess will make them sit up and remember who she might have been. It will probably make her cringe and maybe she’ll drop it.

As mentioned earlier, ‘Princess’ is a title, not one of her names.

mokryna Fri 10-Mar-23 13:24:08

It they said she was baptized as Princess?

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 10-Mar-23 13:27:52

I read that Prince Philip called the late Queen ‘Cabbage’. What a shame they didn’t pick that nickname.

I don't understand how H&M can't recognise the hypocrisy in this.

There seem to be quite a lot of things that these non-working Royals are unable to get their heads around. So much of what they say contradicts their previous actions. As Deedaa said: "Can't help wondering why they seem so keen to tell us their children are a Prince and Princess when America threw out the monarchy centuries ago".
I suspect that all their problems arose when M realised that she wasn't going to be a princess and that she wasn't going to be Head Of Everything in the Royal Wives Division, just an also-ran. It wasn't enough for her.

sandelf Fri 10-Mar-23 13:34:08

Maybe they don't realise that Brits regard people who brandish titles as first names are a bit (ooh) common? I don't think M understood that this really is a very different country to USA - possibly he didn't too.

The Palace website will be updated ‘in due course’ apparently.

Seeing as they made a point of saying when Archie was born that they didn’t want him to have a title….

Oh, of course, his title then was just going to be ‘Earl of Dumbarton’, one of Harry’s ‘spare’ titles.

Doesn’t sound quite as posh as ‘Prince’ of course.

Yes, but as the direct descendants of the King are styled prince or princess, you can bet your bottom dollar that if Harry and Megan's children had not been so styled, Harry or Megan or both would have complained!

The long and the short of it is that the British Royal Family can do nothing right in the eyes of these two and everything is grist that comes to their mill if they can get an ounce of publicity good, bad, or indifferent out of it.

Germanshepherdsmum Fri 10-Mar-23 13:40:31

Remember when Meghan claimed Archie hadn’t been made a Prince when he was born due to racism? Zero idea how these things work.

Jaberwok Fri 10-Mar-23 13:46:14

Actually Meghan can be called Princess. Princess Henry, like Princess Michael.

The name ‘Prince Harry’ is clearly written at the top of the cover of ‘Spare’. Presumably his choice - he wouldn’t do the media’s bidding. Even his doormat was spotted to have a royal cypher on it. I don’t think he is quite so humble as you suggest.

Harry ‘doesn’t whine’ and ‘shares re his mental health struggles to be of service to others’. Oh, perleease. Is Keffie12 actually Meghan?
