It is very powerful, the man on the bus and the lady on the phone quite upset me.
It must be the same one you are posting about.

Yes it is really powerful. I used to be an advisor for Age UK and some cases were unbelievably sad as so many pensioners were proud and only contacted us when they were desperate. It was a privilege to try and help them but sometimes I wished I could have waved a magic wand.

We have the means to ensure that no one is ever cold or lonely.

Where my father lives in France there are people employed to check on the elderly and vulnerable to ensure they are warm and have food.

It's heartbreaking that we we would ever treat anyone with so little kindness in this country that they cannot even be warm

Being cold is painful, it's energy sapping and it is to my mind, a form of torture.

Completely unacceptable, age UK are wonderful amd thank goodness for them but being warm and fed should never need to be on a charities agenda

I saw this last night. It really hits home and is upsetting to know that people are suffering and can't afford the basics needed to live.

So sad - the gentleman who sits on the bus all day long just to keep warm. But what bothers me is that there are so many benefits available for the elderly. My 83 year old neighbour, far from being destitute, gets Pension Credit, which then will entitle her to other benefits, or so I’ve been told.

It's absolutely dreadful that older people have to go through this.

It is a sad fact that alot of people of that age group are not claiming what they are entitled too.
