Good morning everyone from a very wet Northampton, what a difference from the glorious weather I have been used to for the last couple of weeks. Wishing I was back there.....

Spent yesterday unpacking, sorting the washing out, and downloading photos from my phone to the laptop; had to Google instructions for that again as I had forgotten how to do it. Then found that the USB cable that I had only used once before was splitting, so have just ordered another off a certain on-line store. Have ordered a pack of two this time. Thought I would make a photobook of my holiday, but am really struggling for the site to do what I want - shall need assistance from DD or DS....

DD messaged yesterday to say she would pick me up later today to go out for lunch, then have a wander round a garden centre - what a lovely DD she is!

Have a Sainsbury's delivery coming in an hour or so so must make an effort and be showered and dressed before it arrives.

Horrified to find out I have put about 4lb on during my holiday - need to lose about half a stone before my cruise in July!

Hoping Sunday turns out well for all.

Good morning from Sefton. It is bright & sunny here for a change. Hope it lasts the day🤞.
No plans today apart from a quick visit to the farm shop for vegetables for dinner. I have a turkey thigh to roast.
Hope your cataract op goes well grandMattie. Have a pleasant Sunday all.

Good morning from Durham. My day is to be a combination of other GNs. I’m still lying in bed, adjusting to the time change, going to a garden centre, reading the papers, crossword and might see DDs.
As well as good news from Gingster yesterday, I think Blossoming was also pleased with her medical results.
Best wishes to all. X

Morning Mick, morning All from a calm, cloudy corner of Somerset.

Enjoyed a short marina walk yesterday. Slept most of the afternoon and much to my surprise all night. So why do I still feel tired?

Another quiet day ahead. Mr C will change the bed, we’ll put together our questions for his hospital appointment tomorrow and generally faff about.

Good wishes for your cataract operation grandmattie. Soon be over.

Take care everyone.

Alygran Sun 26-Mar-23 08:41:20

Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s another sunny start. Such a pity it rarely lasts beyond lunch time. We had very heavy rain again yesterday and I’m getting very behind with the garden.
Called into the opticians yesterday to follow up on my referral to the hospital for AMD only to find it was still in the ‘draft’ box. They are hugely apologetic. It’s almost 4 months since it should have gone in. Frustrating.
After church I’m heading up the dale to my cousin’s 80th birthday lunch.
Have a good day everyone.

Georgesgran Sun 26-Mar-23 08:42:43

Forgot to add that I hope gM operation goes ahead today with good results. X

A quiet day for me today with nothing planned except a wander in the garden.
So pleased your DD is able to come round for lunch Gingster - enjoy
Hope you DD is better and back to her running soon greyduster
Enjoy your holidays BlueBalou and NanaDara
Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Jaxjacky Sun 26-Mar-23 08:47:54

Meant to say gMattie hope this afternoon goes smoothly.

Harris27 Sun 26-Mar-23 08:47:56

Good morning all. Quiet day planned then visit to sons house early evening. Had a good nights sleep but woke early. Might get some washing dried and potter in the garden as it needs tidying. Good day to all.

Grammaretto Sun 26-Mar-23 08:58:55

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. There's a wee bit of sunshine.
I hope to get out into the garden today but like you gMattie I woke early and went back to sleep.
A lovely early birthday party for my DGD at her other DGP yesterday.
Now my Help exchange couple have left I can return to my lazy ways. It is. Sunday after all ☺️
Relax and enjoy the first day of British Summer time.

Forsythia Sun 26-Mar-23 09:06:20

Good morning from the south coast where yesterday’s cold and windy weather has turned to rain today. No Gardening as planned unfortunately. Instead, a bit of decluttering I think and a beef casserole later for dinner.
Enjoy your days one and all, where you can.

ShazzaKanazza Sun 26-Mar-23 09:18:20

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull. We have a dry day forecast today.
I’m still snuggled in bed as we had friends over last night and they left quite late. We were looking at excursions for our cruise in September.

grandMattie best wishes for your cattaract op. 💐

BlueSapphire I’m on a weight loss regime now to try and lose weight for our cruise it’s a stone though so much more than your 4lb x

DD is dropping off little B at ours as she is taking her big sister to a circus this aft and little one isn’t that well.
We will cook a chicken dinner later.

Have a lovely Sunday everyone your activities sound great. Enjoy lovely meals out and Sunday lunches. Thoughts to those feeling under the weather today. 🌻🌻

GrannySomerset Sun 26-Mar-23 09:27:58

Good Morning from S Yorks.

All the best with the Op, GMattie

Been very under the weather CFS wise but I'm going to Quakers this morning.

Bests for poorlies and family poorlies and may outings go well.

luluaugust Sun 26-Mar-23 09:41:23

Good morning all from a wet, grey W Kent. Quiet day after chat to DB.
All the best for the op gM
Best wishes to all

EkwaNimitee Sun 26-Mar-23 09:43:16

Good morning Mick and everyone from currently sunny Carlisle.
Yesterday the showers were so frequent, I didn't try to get out in the garden, then it all set in to heavy rain mid-afternoon. It was a day of reading and brain training, the latter definitely needed these days!

Today...waiting to see if the fine weather holds. I still have plants to go in the garden.

I too have visited the Tenement House, a very interesting place to see. Decades ago, I had a friend who lived in an Edinburgh one. I didn't envy her the shared toilet on the landing!

Good luck with the op, grandMattie, I guess it will then be a restful evening for you..

And wishing you all the best possible day.

Taichinan Sun 26-Mar-23 10:01:24

Good morning Mick and all from not quite such a nice day on the Angus coast. There's blue sky to the northwest though.
Good luck with your cataract op grandmattie - isn't it amazing how 'ordinary' that procedure has become! When my mother had her's back in the 80s it involved a couple of days in hospital
Happy seaside hols to Bluebalou - enjoy the sand and the clean fresh air.
Glad you enjoyed your short break too Ash - driving is tiring, isn't it.
I'm off shortly to south Perthshire to visit DD. When she was here for Mother's Day I forgot to hand her the Easter Eggs for the five teens, and they're all off down to New Man's next weekend. It'll be lovely to see her (and whichever DGD happens to be around.
My Lovely Gardener was here yesterday and told me not to bother getting a roofer out to replace the broken guttering at the front of the house - he'd do it for me. Which he did! He's a wonder, that man. Worth his weight in gold!
Now off I must pop - it's a 90minute/80 mile drive each way to to DD's.
Have the best Sunday everyone x

Gwenisgreat1 Sun 26-Mar-23 10:09:44

Good morning all from bright and dry Harrogate.
Good luck with your cataract op GrandMattie and good for iris having yet another operation!
Home to rest now Ashcombe take it easy.
Glad you grans had a good time in Glasgow - it is my favourite city, Baubles
Hope your DD continues to improve Gingster.
Hope you have a trailer for your shopping Marydoll. I’m not going to church today. Had a very bad night last night and church is not the best place to fall asleep in!!!
Have the best day possible folks

dustyangel Sun 26-Mar-23 10:24:54

Good morning everyone. It’s a beautiful sunny day and the sea is lovely deep blue band on the horizon. The temperature is 15° and supposed to get up to 24° and guess what we have a man coming to “look at” the septic tank later. I might not want the doors and windows open!

There is some confusion over whether he is coming in the morning or afternoon. DH thinks one and I think the other but as we’d not long put our shutters down as the light changed, we had a power cut and I knocked over the glass of wine I’d just been given as I stood up to get a torch. The phone call from the tank man came just before DH got the lights back on.

Luckily the glass didn’t break but the mopping up took ages and left a nasty red wine stain to get off the large beige rug. It’s probably stained the grouting under the rug as well but I wasn’t up to scrubbing that last night.

dustyangel Sun 26-Mar-23 10:26:22

Sorry, I meant to say that I’d read and catch up with you all later.

hulahoop Sun 26-Mar-23 10:42:34

It's a cool morning here.Don't know what we doing today.steak pie with lots of veg for tea. We lived in a terrace with toilet outside it was freezing in the winter .Enjoy your breaks away .Good luck for today Gm I had mine done just before first lock down ,I had to wait for 6weeks between ops .Take care all and have a good day.

Kalu Sun 26-Mar-23 10:43:09

Good morning all from a blustery but sunny day in Glasgow.
My favourite time of year when we spring forward towards lighter, longer days.

A day of foutering about doing whatever I feel like doing and not even glancing at the to do list……didn’t take me long to make this decision. 😃.

Have a pleasant Sunday all.

hollysteers Sun 26-Mar-23 10:52:01

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
Lovely meal with the family in city last night, DGD came over from Leeds Uni and DD drove me in. Excellent tender steak.

DD now my PA lol and is organising the family holiday and we are going to sell, auction furniture, paintings etc which have all ended up with me from my late DH family. Might as well sell these things and use the money rather than just standing around or stored in the basement. But I have a lovely carved gothic style bookcase I don’t want to part with.

Cramp in the night as usual after two wines🙄even with Indian tonic water, muscle spray etc and it was particularly bad in my hands.

Thoughts to Gingster GrandMattie and all with troubles.
Will read through properly later.

Teasel57 Sun 26-Mar-23 11:38:19

Good morning everyone. I am new to Gransnet and this is my first post! I am in rainy West Sussex, hoping it will get better so we can walk our dog.
