Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but remains dry outside here in brackley .
Today , I plan to go to Bicester , at the moment any signs of breathlessness or pounding heart beat seems to have settled down as I am able to walk without pausing or a need to sit down hopefully a good sign .
Take Care,
Mick

Good afternoon from a sunny Essex - was grey and cold this morning and I can see black clouds descending again 🙁🙁 Enjoy your week one and all, keep warm, safe and content 😊😊

Good morning all from a beautiful sunny day in Glasgow.

An early visit to the dentist this morning. Abscess confirmed, treated and a supply of anti bacs. Thé relief from such throbbing pain has gone but a swollen face remains. Very fetching.

A look around the garden confirms I too have lost a few plants due to severe frost. A bit of tidying up to be done there and hopefully a chance to have coffee al fresco in the sun.

Best wishes to all for a good day.

It's a bright but cold morning, I should have been going out with friend today but have got up feeling dizzy and sickly so have reluctantly cancelled 😣.

Good morning everyone. Sunny in my corner of Lancashire and much colder. All quiet and peaceful after the busy Steam Gala weekend. No particular plans for today other than housework, physio and Gaelic studies.

Happy Monday 🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from a sunny NE.
Lunch out with my sister was lovely, food was superb but the restaurant allows dogs and there were three at the next table and not particularly well behaved.
Today is DD's 54th birthday but as she lives abroad I will not get to see her until Easter.
Rest grandMattie and give yourself time to recover.
Have a good day all.

hollysteers Mon 27-Mar-23 10:21:18

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
DD has left for the south after flying visit and I go into the city for lunch and museum with friend today. Some of the places I want to go to are closed on a Monday, but today is the only day I can manage. Slept well and vivid dreams but not unpleasant.

Watched ‘The Lost Daughter’ with Olivia Coleman on Netflix, can’t take to her and the film was pretentious. Based on a Elena Ferrante novel, one of hers I enjoyed and directed by Maggie Gygenhall (?) a couple of hours I’ll never get back.

Glad you are not feeling so breathless Mick and I’m glad your op is over grandMattie.
Thoughts to all with worries 🌹

Morning everyone. Lovely sunny day here in West Sussex. Just received a parcel that had been sent to Putney by mistake instead of here!! Is that a record? Now off to walk the dog.

Good morning from a bright Black country, have put some washing on its things I want to take away with me.
Haven't read through yet but see grandMattie had her op hope recovery goes well.
Mick also good to see there is improvement on your breathing.
We have a carvery booked for later but DH not feeling to good so might cancel.
Enjoy your Monday everyone and may you all find some ☀️.

Good morning from a sunny Co Armagh, it’s 2* but I think it went down to -1 last night
I’ve lost a few plants/bushes too Marydoll but my Rosemary survived , and the Plum looks like it has life so far
Off to replenish the cupboards , as I need a few basics
This afternoon getting my ears checked and hopefully the sound turned up !

GrannySomerset Mon 27-Mar-23 09:12:52

Hope you find the world much clearer and brighter when the dressing comes off, gMattie, my first cataract operation was nothing short of miraculous, so hope yours is too. Glad the breathing is easier, Mick.

First load of washing is in the machine and am waiting for the wonderful gardener to arrive for a six hour session of fence painting - we need to get it finished so that grass cutting can begin, to say nothing of the outstanding pruning. Otherwise a domestic day which is not a hardship as it will be mostly reading for book group.

Glorious typo Ginny!

Taichinan Mon 27-Mar-23 09:09:02

Good morning all from a glorious sunny morning on the Angus coast. It's only 0°C though, and the house feels cold. However sitting here in the sun in the garden room is lovely - I won't want to move!
What busy people you all are! That's exciting to look after Mary Berry ladyleftfield. You're sounding much better Mick, but don't go wild now. And glad the op went well grandmattie.
Nothing planned here for today, but the washing machine is churning away and I'll be hanging the washing out soon. I also have a letter to write to a friend up north who has just been diagnosed with heart failure. Such a horribly frightening diagnosis that - I wish they'd find a other name for it. I remember when my (much)
older sister was given that and you sort of thought "Oh my goodness, that's that then" but she lived another 7 years and died when she was 89.
Anyway I shall love you and leave you now. Have a lovely day everyone x

Good morning from a bright and sunny Essex by the sea.

Lots of rest today GrandMattie, I hope your eye feels better by tomorrow.

Housework this morning and I may get out for a walk by the sea.

Enjoy your day everyone xx

Good morning from a frozen Durham, just above zero here. There’s a huge sycamore in a neighbouring garden and I get the bulk of the ‘keys’ as well as the dead leaves in mine. They take root and are growing in my gutters! The tree was examined last year and I hoped it would be felled, but sadly not.
Coffee with a friend this morning, then babysitting DGS2 from 3pm while DD2 has that bl***y foot wound dressed (6 months now) then she and SinL are going to the cinema.
Pleased gM had her op and Mick is feeling better.
Best wishes to all. X

EkwaNimitee Mon 27-Mar-23 09:01:53

Good Morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle where it is 1C and we have a light frost.
Yesterday, I took things quietly being under the weather, mostly reading before an evening in front of the TV. Sunday evening is usually good for that, otherwise there's so much stuff I don't want to watch these days.
Today's the day I like to deal with most of the housework and laundry so I can devote the rest of the week to nicer things with a clear conscience. I'd like to get out and do some gentle gardening later though.

Hopefully, you are soon recovered from the op grandMattie and in good form for your imminent move.

Wishing you all a pleasant day.

luluaugust Mon 27-Mar-23 08:56:34

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. Getting ready for the arrival of DB tomorrow and a huge pile of ironing, so not too much fun today! more like slow and steady.
Glad the op is done gM and Mick sounds upbeat.
Best wishes to all

MawtheMerrier Mon 27-Mar-23 08:54:33

Good morning fro me -also in N Bucks where it is a lovely sunny morning. Nippy though.
No plans for today as most of my groups and classes are winding down for the Easter holidays.
I was wondering if you’d been peeping over my shoulder when I stood on the scales Ginny when you wrote
Good to hear that some of our porky people are a little better and thoughts with others. gringrin
I hope your improved energy and easier breathing will continue Mick and that your heart scan will show no problems there.
Wishing a pleasant day to all.

Good morning from North Yorkshire. Clear blue skies so far.
Striders and strollers this morning then hairdressers this afternoon. If it stays fair I might begin the scarifying in the front garden. The lawn is mostly moss.
Yesterday’s trip up the dale went well. The scenery is fantastic. I crossed the little bridge used in the opening titles of All Creatures Great and Small back in the 80s and 90s. We once watched them some filming there when the DDs were little.
Good news of your op gm and that you are feeling better Mick.
Have a good day everyone

Good morning from Shropshire where like GrannyGravy in SE Essex we have a chilly start with a light frost.

Yesterday DD messaged to say B who has chickenpox was asking for us so of course we got in the car and drove over to Stafford. He is really suffering poor boy but perked up a bit when we gave him a couple of small gifts.DD treated us to a takeaway before we drove home again.

I am meeting a friend for lunch today. We met when I moved to Shropshire 33 years ago.

Llfl we did a tour of Austria and then a River Danube cruise for our honeymoon. One of my favourite holidays.

One of DD’s friends called me super gran but I am handing my crown over to Gingster and Grandmabatty👑🥇

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Good morning Mick and everyone
from Hull. It’s a beautiful morning and the sunshine lifts the spirits.

grandMattie hoping your recovery goes well 💐 the rest today will do you good.

Today I will do a zoom yoga recording as my teacher is away. There is a pile of ironing to do after that and later picking up GS from school.

Have a lovely day everyone. Thoughts to those poorly or stressed🌻🌻

Good morning Michael and all GNs. Glad you’re feeling a bit more up to par, Mick. Don’t overdo it. As Wyllow has said, cool and cloudy in South Yorkshire, but the wind has dropped which is good as it means that I will be able to sow some seeds without everything getting blown off the potting table! I’ll bring them on in the conservatory. My plum tree is coming into blossom. I suppose it’s too much to hope we’ll get any fruit though. It’s not produced for a few years. It sets fruit and then they drop off.
I have an appointment at the surgery later this afternoon and that will round my day off.
Good luck with the fossil hunting BlueBalou. It’s a lovely pastime. I have a lovely ammonite that DH picked up on the beach in Lyme Regis.
Have a good day folks.

Gala Mon 27-Mar-23 08:27:49

Good morning from a currently sunny Sefton but I can see it is clouding over already. What bright & sunny mornings we have are gone by lunchtime☹️.
Singing group this morning. That should cheer me up. The group is growing slowly. 25 people last week. Just enough chairs & songbooks. An appointment with a local company to replace some blinds this afternoon. The rest of the afternoon "at leisure".
Good to hear you're feeling better Mick. Take it easy grand Mattie, look after yourself.
Wishing you all a peaceful week.

Morning from a cold but sunny S Lanarkshire.

I’ve had a really great but really exhausting weekend with DGD5. Apart from all our activities, she never stopped talking, it brought it home to me how different it is when you live alone.

Thankfully a good night’s sleep has restored my energy level since this is post school childminding day and I’ll be off to East Ren. this afternoon.

Glad to see you’re feeling a bit better Mick.

Now to restore the house to some kind of order before I set off so I’ll wish everyone as nice a day as possible 🦩
