The other queens-by-marriage, Alexandra, Mary, and the Queen Mother, were all aristocrats in their own right, Camilla isn’t. Just a point. Of course, Princess Catherine isn’t either, but she seems more queen-like than Camilla to me.

She will be queen by virtue of being the consort of the King, as was Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother when her husband was alive, neither of them monarchs but the wives of monarchs.
Works for me.

Queen Consort is enough. I think many people (including me) will find it hard to accept so soon that anyone except Elizabeth II is The Queen. Maybe eventually…

I’m fairly happy to accept Charles as King, but Camilla as Queen? Not for me.

If the Queen Mother had outlived her daughter would she have become the King Granny?grin

I agree it's long winded but it's what the Queen (the real Queen) wanted.

The King is following Royal convention. When Queen Elizabeth II’s father, George VI, became king, his wife’s title became “queen consort,” although she was usually referred to as “Queen Elizabeth” (having been born Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon, not to be confused with Queen Elizabeth I of England, daughter of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn). Queen Elizabeth held her title until George died, at which point Elizabeth II ascended the throne, and her mum became “queen mother.”
I really think that Queen consort Camilla is a bit long winded.
I'm all in favour of having a King and Queen.

Hmmmm. I gather she's to be called Queen Camilla despite the late Queen stating that she should be Queen Consort. Albert was only the Prince Consort. Poor old Prince Philip wasnt even that. What's so special about Camilla? I was warming to her but I'm not so sure now. They're taking a risk with the public support.
