Good Morning Everyone,
Its more or less daylight here in brackley , remains dry outside .
Yesterday I returned home to see phone messages as to having Iron infusion top up and blood test at the Hospital in Bicester on Monday .
Today a local essential shop , to start with prior to going to Bicester again on the bus .
Its become a routine but people know me who I see whilst browsing etc .
Take Care,
Mick

Congratulations GrandMattie. Glad it all went well for you.

Just had call from solicitor to say the house has been successfully sold. I imagine the purchasers are moving in this minute…

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull.

I am sitting in the hairdressers so I saved my GM read as my root colour is on for about an hour or it feels like that.
I’m debating about asking her to cut an inch off.
You are all so busy today and so lovely to read about your news and again I could mention you all personally.
I was thinking about Urmstongran yesterday hoping she is well.

Have a lovely day everyone 🌻🌻

Good morning all from sunny Lancashire. I have been suffering from an upset stomach this week but it seems to have settled now, fingers crossed. Today I need to collect my gout meds and do a little shopping. I will park Mr.B in the coffee shop, it’s not far to walk.

Happy Friday all 🌻🌻🌻

EkwaNimitee Fri 14-Apr-23 09:12:48

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle where it has been rather April showery.
I did get out between the showers yesterday and over-seeded my lawn. Rain and sun has followed so ideal conditions I hope for getting the new grass germinating and growing. I may be out in the garden later as lots of stuff is sitting around in pots waiting to go in. I have pace myself these days though...
Before that, various little jobs to be done, more admin and maybe a new book to start.

Best wishes for your new start grandMattie and I hope you are in your new place soon.

You're sounding very uplifted and dynamic Marydoll, best wishes for your new granddaughter. I hope she has a happy life ahead of her.

And wishing you all a good day.

Good morning all from a beautiful sunny day in Glasgow.

No need to go out today which means I can enjoy a day outdoors in the sun, potting up some newly bought plants and finish off painting my she-shed. Washing already out.

Have a good Friday all.

Sorry didn't mean to send then!
Before I go I'd just like to congratulate grandmattie on her successful move - an example to all of us in hard work, organisation and stoicism. Enjoy your couple of weeks with your daughter and the girls and take time to breathe.
Ash and Dudders enjoy your 'honeymoon'. And Marydoll make the most of those glorious baby cuddles - that time passes so quickly! Bluebalou I hope you find painting classes somewhere local to you. I used to love watercolour (before tai chi took up most of my time and energy!) and it is just so satisfying to see your work framed ("a good frame can elevate a mediocre painting to a masterpiece"!)
There were so many people I wanted to mention this morning but I didn't take notes. So all I can say is have the best day you can everyone, whatever you're doing, and I hope the sun shines on you wherever you are x

Good morning everyone.
I had a message yesterday to say that DGS1 had safely arrived in S. Africa. He has gone to visit his DD who is working out there. I’m not sure how passport control went as his passport photo was taken when he was 12 years old. He is now 20 with a full beard and much longer hair !

Some decorating of cupcakes this morning and the WI knitting group this afternoon .

Wishing all a good day.

Good morning from a sunny NE 🌞
DD and SIL are coming at noon and we are going to Durham for lunch and then we are off to The Sage at Gateshead to see the Sheku Kanneh Mason concert.
Have a good day everyone.

Taichinan Fri 14-Apr-23 08:53:02

Good morning all from the Angus coast where the sun has won the battle with the clouds - for now! Thank goodness that wind has dropped - it might feel a little warmer!
DD and NewMan are back in Nottingham after a very cold, windy and snowy couple of days walking in the Lake District. They made their rendezvous at Scotchcorner with the DGDs and then went in convoy from there. I can breathe again!!
Yesterday was lovely - tai chi followed by lunch here with the other instructors to plan our workshop in two weeks' time. I think we know what we're doing now!
Whitewave I have found that my stamina is the thing that's letting me down as I get older - I shall be 82 in a couple of months. I find I really have to pace myself - in the morning I can do housework things for maybe 90 mins to two hours before needing a 30 minute break, but as the day goes on the work time gets less and the break time lengthens! My only help so far is my Robotvac, which I find a huge boon, and my lovely gardener-cum
-handiman who is worth his weight in gold. I'm not sure I'd like having someone else in the house with me, but no doubt as time goes by and needs must I shall succumb.

Good morning from North Yorkshire. Another bright start but again showers later.
Congratulations on the new granddaughter Marydoll, well done on the move gM.

Nothing planned for today so I may do some admin and sort a train ticket for next month’s holiday.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from a cloudy W Kent. Off on our break today and we will be joined by DS and family over the weekend part. DD2 popped by yesterday so we were able to catch up with her and GC.
Glad you are now safely moved gM
Lovely photo of babydoll.
All the best

Good morning from a still, bright Durham. What a mixed day yesterday from balmy to monsoon in an instant. I had a strange dream about chickens and a flood - weird but very real.
Did you master the Audi foxiegloves. It reminded me when DD2s little Mini went in for some work and for the first time ever Motability was able to provide a courtesy car with hand controla - a huge Mercedes! She was almost too terrified to drive it and of course no one at the Mini dealership knew what half the knobs and buttons meant either.
Coffee with a friend this morning, DD2s ironing to do later, walk her dog, then I’ll take both back and babysit DGS2 for a couple of hours.
Time to take a breather gM before the next leg of your journey?
I’m due a visit from my FA Harri we spend 20 minutes on finance then the rest of the afternoon talking about DH and his extensive knowledge and work with dogs!
Best wishes to all. X

Good morning from Shropshire where after a lovely sunny day yesterday the rain is now back.

We were woken very early this morning by a phone call from our niece to say she had been in an accident. She seems ok, is in hospital at the moment. She sent us pictures of the scene which is horrific. All three emergency services were incredible.Feeling very thankful.

We are waiting the arrival of two grandchildren. We don’t usually look after them in school holidays but DD isn’t feeling great. Our first outing will be to Sainsbury’s to stock up on food and milk suitable for H.

Congratulations Marydoll and family on the birth of your precious granddaughter👶🏼💗

I’m glad the first part of your move went well grandMattie and hope you get a date to move into your new home very soon.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Good morning everyone from a damp Northampton, showers forecast all day.

Yesterday turned out wonderfully with an excellent trip to Windsor Castle. My friend and I had a lovely day out, the weather was kind, sunny although a chilly wind. We had a pub lunch first before repairing to the castle at our appointed entry time. The queue was miles long, but it started moving pretty quickly, and we were through security in a few minutes. It took us a good two hours to view the state apartments and admire the wonderful craftsmanship. Then it was a choice between Queen Mary's Dollshouse and the Chapel, so we picked the Chapel as the queue was so long for the Dolls House. Very impressed with the Chapel and could well imagine all the Royal occasions seen on tv taking place there.

Then it was back to the coach, but not before a visit to TK Maxx, where I found a lovely leather shoulder bag. Egged on by my friend, it indeed came home with me.....

A visit to the surgery this morning to have my MMR booster, to complete the course I needed to have before my holiday in South Africa. Then a walk to M&S and Next to pick up a coup!e of orders and do a top-up shop.

Glad everything went well yesterday, grandMattie.

Wishing all a good Friday.

Good morning from Essex by the sea where it is cloudy but not cold.
DH is off to the butchers shortly to fill up the freezer then we have a supermarket shop to do.
Ironing and washing when I get back.
Have a lovely day everyone xx

GrannySomerset Fri 14-Apr-23 08:18:44

I echo Karmalady’s comments to gMattie and hope she soon has a date to move in to her new home. All so needlessly stressful and exhausting. I have visitors arriving for coffee so must get a move on, and DS and DDiL overnight plus well behaved dog, so today will involve a lot of talking. Grey skies again after yesterday’s sunshine but it is April, so what did I expect?

Liberty Fri 14-Apr-23 08:16:34

Good morning from a sunny Suffolk. I haven’t yet read all your posts but hope all well with you and hoping especially * grandMattie’s* move to Bristol went smoothly and Marydoll managed a few wonderful cuddles with * babydoll*.

My visit to see my sister in hospital was aborted and I had to return home. After only 20 minutes out of Norwich the train stopped. Never a good sign! Sadly we learnt that there had been a fatality on the line and the line was closed for an unknown length of time. How sad for the family of that person and traumatic for the train driver involved.

I managed to change my ticket to travel on Monday and the helpful man in the multi-storey car park opposite the station changed my ticket to a no charge one rather than the £11 24 hour one. All the staff I had to deal with were very helpful and efficient.

I phoned my sister for a longer chat when I got home having updated her briefly from the train and had the sandwich I packed for the journey for my lunch at home.

Hope there is some sunshine in everyone’s day.

Good morning from oversast and wet s somerset

A big welcome to the west country GM, on the next step pf your journey at last. It has been lovely to see someone so pro-active about her destination and new adventure. Inspirational in fact. Grabbing life in both hands and looking forwards rather than backwards. A very good role model to many

A drive to Frome yesterday, had to see someone there. They have such a good easy car park in the centre of town and good toilets. Never daunting going there. It was a place I looked at before buying but I already knew it was far too hilly for an oldie and we will all, hopefully, become oldies one day

Have a good day

Good morning from Colchester where the sky is light grey and it's not really one thing or another.
A walk to the city centre for bits and bobs today. Otherwise no plans.
Love to all 🦩 x

Good morning from a dull and drizzly Black Country.

Yesterdays walk along the canal to the Cone Cafe at Wordsley was in lovely sunny weather, albeit windy. There were 9 of us came into the cafe just for coffee, and as the girl was on her own she seemed a bit overwhelmed.

Today 10 of us are meeting for lunch. DS and family, DD and family and Mum. Not SIL as he is working.

Glad the move went smoothly grandMattie. Enjoy staying with your family.

Lovely photo yesterday of your granddaughter Marydoll, a little poppet. My youngest granddaughter is 12 next month, so it has been a while since I held a baby, I am sure you will make the most of her.

Have the best day possible everyone.
