Good morning Mick and all who follow.
I hope GM has arrived safely in Bristol.
Thank you all for all the many good wishes for my new granddaughter. There was talk yesterday of Babydoll, being transferred to the children's hospital in Glasgow, so DD couldn't go home, an anxious time. DIL had kept quiet, to prevent us worrying.
There was a big improvement last night, so we are praying hard, all will be well. We received an urgent request from DS on our way back from St Andrews to buy more nappies. Her stomach problems meant that she was going through nappies at some rate. My task today, is to buy some bigger outfits.
Although, they had plenty of first size outfits and she is tiny, she has very long legs, which are too long for the baby grows.
There is nothing like holding a baby in your arms despite her having a healthy set of lungs,
I burst into tears, when I found out that one of her names was in memory of my mother. DS2 had a very special relationship with my mum, who helped nurse him through his many illness.
Yesterday was very full on, we had promised that we would look after Dollie for a couple of hours, to give DS and DIL a break. DS has been bombarded with emails regarding work and I could see how stressed he was.
We had a walk to the harbour and castle, but it was rather bracing to say the least. Dollie and I were struggling and out of breath. Papa was oblivious to our plight, until Dollie asked him if we were going for coffee. Of course he can never refuse her. 😉
Then the rain came on, it was torrential. I had hoped for a quick browse in the shops, but was also desperate to get home to see Babydoll. I did manage to pop into a gallery to buy a photo frame, to match a special one I have for Dollie. We have a few pieces by this designer, who only sells to this gallery.
Nothing is too good for Babydoll's photo.
All being well, we are back for our usual annual stay in three weeks, so I can browse to my heart's content.
On arrival home, I noticed what looked like a hospital letter. It turned out to be the report from my gastroscopy nine months ago, saying after reviewing my results, I did not need intervention. It looked liked my biologics were the reason for my problems.
The only reason, I had the report so speedily, was that my orthopaedic consultant, unknown to me, had chased it up. What a kind man, despite appearing very brusque and abrupt.
DH is golfing, but no empty for me. I need to do a food shop and return an item. I really want to stay in bed!!
I wish you all a pleasant day, whatever your plans.
Best wishes for all, who have worries or illness.
