Will get home and relax this afternoon.

Good morning everyone from a promising day here on the east coast of Fife just waiting for the beautiful sunrise,
Having had my lawn mowed on Saturday has caused a return of hay fever my lovely gp has prescribed me an antihistamine to help.
I’m so looking forward to my friend Janice visiting me on Tuesday.
Today I have a trip to the bank with my carer to get copies of my sister in laws annual statements for the Office of the public guardian as required. It’s time for the reporting. This was all set up pre stroke.

Have a good day my friends. X

Good morning. It’s not looking too bright outside at this moment.
Home jobs to do this morning and some cooking prep for visitors tomorrow.
A visit to Costco, which was postponed from last week. DH has to take our next door neighbour to an appointment first.
Wishing all a good day.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A misty start to the South Yorkshire day, but at least it’s dry. My trip to the hip physio was all good. I don’t need to see them again. Today I have a dental check up that I feel will lead to some further treatment and then, as they say in some holiday itineraries “the rest of the day at leisure”! I’ll be potting on seedlings.
Hope all goes well for your DD Gingster🤞🏻
Enjoy your day, folks.

Grandmabatty Mon 17-Apr-23 08:11:28

Good morning from a dull and grey Essex by the sea. The sun is trying to break through, I hope it's successful.
I hope all goes well for your DD Gingster. I remember when DH had those scans but had to go to Basildon Hospital and I had to sit and wait for hours for him.
Boring old housework for me today. We may visit a local material shop this afternoon as I have said that I will make some curtains for our bedroom on the boat. Wish me luck.
Good luck with your infusion Mick and I hope you find your way around Bristol GM.
Have a fabulous Monday everyone xxx

Good morning from a dry NE where it is 10 degrees.
Washer is on, not too much today so should get it all ironed too.
SIL went for a walk yesterday afternoon, didn't think it was far but his phone said we had covered 2.5 miles.
DD was travelling back to Brussels and she messaged us at 9pm to say she was home and the house next door to her had been sold while she was in the UK. I had seen the estate agents photos and the house appeared to have had nothing done to it since being built around 1910, full of original features but not in good condition. We believe it sold for 1.13 million euros.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning Mick and everyone from a sunny but chilly Hampshire where we can see across to The Needles through the haze.
It’s our 52nd Wedding Anniversary today and last night we met friends here for dinner and my friend said “what’s your present for your Anniversary” and I told her that she was it! Just for the evening though sadly.
The plan was that we would look at downsizing and moving back to our home area whilst we are here, but after a family conference at the weekend we have realised that MissOops will need carers at some point as will the Nephew so a pooling of resources will be called for and Hampshire is just too expensive, so a lot of work to be done when we get home as 3 families will need to relocate, all at the same time!
Anyway, a day to be spent walking the beach and having a mooch around and a think about the future.
I hope all of the GNs and their families who have Hospital appointments get good news.
Have a good day everyone and hugs for those who aren’t so chipper today. Enjoy the sun if it appears.

Good morning from a dull mild Co Armagh, but it is dry
I’m caller no 38. on the phone to the GP ! Took 20 mins to get in the queue… sigh
I need groceries , but I will have to do a list for DD , she can’t read my writing , and I can’t decipher hers , it will be a fun few minutes as we laugh our way down the list , must remember to put in my hearing aids

Good morning Mick and everyone from another grey but brightish day in Carlisle. There have obviously been light showers in the night, which I am pleased about since I won't have to be watering the grass seeds. I don't want more rain today though as the window cleaner is due this morning.

Yesterday I just read the papers and a book and also spent quite a bit of time with the computer doing admin and some housekeeping on it. I've also started to review and reorganise my wardrobes ready for summer. I chucked out a pair of winter gardening trousers...which I felt guilty about but, believe me, my discarded gardening trousers are fit for nothing or no-one!
Today I will be doing the laundry and making a start on housework. After lunch, I'd like to be getting a plant or two into the garden. Everything is really bursting into leaf and bloom out there now. The aphids are now taking advantage though, time for the blue tits to turn up....

I hope you all have a good day and good luck with those medical appointments those who have them.

Not a good night - no reason - so I am late this morning. Optician and book group today after a quiet weekend so I must remember not to talk too much.

Glad the news of Babydoll is good; my sympathy over hills to grandMattie because when we moved to Bristol from York I had to learn to drive on hills because the area round York is so flat I had learned hill starts in a railway bridge, not much help on Park Street.

Beechnut Mon 17-Apr-23 09:14:52

Happy Anniversary Mr&MrsOops 🥂

Litterpicker Mon 17-Apr-23 09:33:54

Good morning from cloudy West Sussex. I am hoping the sun will break through soon.

I am waiting for DPD to deliver a new phone for DH - 3rd time lucky, I hope, as they tried Friday and Saturday when we were out. I hope they come before my lunchtime Tai Chi class.

I am trying not to despair over my failure so far, to clear some of the piles of stuff that litter our floors upstairs. Much of it is books and paper. Yesterday I started with the intention of throwing out the three folders of cuttings from gardening magazines but couldn’t stop myself going through them first with the excuse that there would be some useful plant lists for DD3 who is redesigning her garden. I ended up with a small pile of pages to dispose of, a pile for DD (not to be returned!) and still have one ring binder of articles and a folder of vegetable info for the allotment. I don’t know why I bother as DH, who is ‘in charge’ of the allotment plot never consults any of my lists of best varieties and growing tips 😬

Mick I hope your blood top ups go well.

Gingster thinking of your daughter and hope all goes well.

Oops that’s sad you can’t move back to your home area. I hope the family can work out a solution that works for all of you. Happy Anniversary and enjoy your break.

Good news of babydoll - hope not too many hospital visits will be needed. Dollie’s feelings may vary over the next few months but that’s a good start 🙂

Good morning all from a grey dreich Angus coast. No sign of the sun today and nor is it forecast to show its face. It will be very welcome when it returns tomorrow!
I hope all goes well with your bloods etc today Mick, and with your DD's scan gingster. Thoughts are with you.
You sound like a different person grandmattie - enjoy your exploration of your new home city. Regarding the hills - no envy! I love being at the top, but not the walking up!
That poor abandoned passenger Susan! I wonder what happened next?
All those lovely stories of Spring on here today. I guess it will reach here in a couple of weeks or so but it's a long weary wait. Mind you the fish came up for food yesterday so I shall have to remember and feed them every day now. That's a step in the right direction.
Best wishes to your DGD starting at uni today NannyJan.
That sounds to have been a lovely concert in the park Bluesapphire. There's something extra special about outdoor entertainment. Reminds me of an afternoon last year watching DGD dancing in a park in Dundee. It was freezing cold with a very strong wind blowing, and I ended up wrapped up in my travelling rug, but I couldn't drag myself away! Thanks for the memory prompt.
It sounds to me that Dolly will absolutely revel in being Big Cousin to little Babydoll - she'll have everybody and everything organised to her liking in no time at all!
The price of property is eye-watering in some places these days Harrigran - quite frightening.
Happy Anniversary*Oops*. Sounds like you have some busy times ahead.
As I've been writing, the grey day here has got even greyer - a mist has come down. I actually took my glasses off to clean them ... . 😂. Definitely a coory down day, with no compelling urge to do anything.
Have a good day everyone, and flowers and hugs to those in need of them x
