Good Morning Everyone,

Today a busy day , going to community hospital in Bicester for Iron infusion top up ,and I understand a blood test prior to it , plus blood for my heart this morning, then once done i wil do my usual routine in the town.
Will get home and relax this afternoon.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from Bristol (it’ll take me some time to get used to saying that…)
Mick, all the best for your infusions, etc.
We had a quiet day yesterday, but, my word, the hills are steep in Clifton! I thought I would never get my breath back after church, going up this (shirt) hill!
We did nothing much during the day as SiLis preparing for two job interviews on Tuesday.
Back to school today. I hope DD doesn’t worry too much about my lack of occupation, normal for me today. I’ve got to speak to my solicitor to clear up a few things, and to the estate agent to visit the flat and measure up for curtains. I’m going to have to learn the bus routes and stops for this!
May you have a gentle day and all go well for you today. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩❤️🦩

Good morning from Shropshire.

We took DGD to her swimming lesson yesterday morning.Son in law met us there and took the children home.

We then went to Chirk for a picnic then walked down to watch a steam train driving through. It actually stopped at the station and the passengers got off for a look around. When the train left it had left a passenger behind.

Today a friend is coming for coffee and chat.

Hope your appointments go well Mick and that you get the answers you need from the solicitor and estate agent grandMattie.

Have the best day you can everyone 🦩

Good morning from a dull but dry Torbay.

I hope all your appointments go to plan today, Mick. The iron infusion, etc., should give you a boost.

Good luck with finding your way round, grandMattie. I expect the bus drivers and locals will be happy to help.

That poor, abandoned passenger, Susan56! We enjoy anything railway related, especially involving steam locomotives. On our honeymoon we travelled on the Brocken line in what was once East Germany. Magnificent views from the top!

Domestic tasks beckon today with a break in the early afternoon for my Move It Or Lose It class, which had to close for the schools' Easter holiday due to children's activities at the sports' centre.

I hope today is the start of a good week for you all. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 9° with grey skies. My fingers ache so I suspect rain will arrive later. Good luck Mick with your blood work. Grandmattie have a good day learning your new bus routes. It's like an adventure.
Yesterday dd came down for a visit with the boys. I love seeing them. They had lunch then later went to Polmont rail station as dgs1 wanted to see trains. The boy is obsessed.
Today I'm doing the usual childcare of a Monday. I'll drop dgs1 off at nursery and then it'll be me and dgs2 til pick up time. I think we will be in the garden for a while today as the forecast is mild. Have a good day all

baubles Mon 17-Apr-23 06:33:29

Good morning all from South Lanarkshire where it’s dry but rather cloudy.

Good luck today Mick.

A very quiet day yesterday chez baubles, which was just as well as my ileostomy decided to play up on my way home from lunch. It doesn’t happen often but when it does it knocks my confidence a little.

Anyhoo, onwards. Work today.

Wishing everyone the best possible day, thinking of those who have worries and sadness to cope with.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 17-Apr-23 06:33:37

Good morning from the damp South Downs. It is expected to clear up though.

mick my goodness you will be well topped up after this mornings hospital visit

gm just think of the aerobic exercise - your heart will benefit.

I noticed yesterday that spring is well advanced. Some trees are fully out now like the horse chestnut, whilst others are still slumbering. The oak is always tardy. The cow parsley is just about to spread its lace and bluebells are opening for their annual glory. Lovely time if the year.

I planted up the back of the gravel garden yesterday and hope to finish off today - just some grasses and pinks to spill over the rocks then bark it and done. Next concentrate on a little scree area. Everything is sort of out of control as it was totally neglected last summer/autumn as I has covid then flu in rapid succession.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Morning Mick, morning All from a cloudy corner of Somerset.

Spent most of yesterday moving furniture ready for the decorator to tackle our living room. All I’ll say is ouch.

Ironing to do, a phone call or two, the bus into town and that will be our day. Mr C isn’t happy he can’t do the decorating himself, hope he likes the outcome.

Hope all goes well today mick. Mr C’s Aunt lived in Clifton many years ago grandmattie, I remember hauling toddlers up the hills and being incredibly grateful when she moved to Westbury on Trym. Hope all goes well for you today.

Take care everyone.

NannyJan53 Mon 17-Apr-23 06:44:39

Good morning from a grey and drizzly Black Country.

Up very early as I have a Covid Jab appointment for 7.40am. It is only a 10-15 min walk away. I had a text saying they are doing the jabs for over 75's and people with a weakened immune system. I assume it is because I use an Inhaler.

Eldest DGD starts University today, I know she is partly very apprehensive as it was last May since she last did any studying. I am sure once today is over she will be ok.

We will probably be in Bristol on Saturday grandMattie popping in to see MrJ's DD on the way back from Somerset.

Enjoy your day everyone

Ladyleftfieldlover Mon 17-Apr-23 06:55:55

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. Almost a usual Monday but with extras! Waitrose and laundry basically. I will be keeping an eye open for vegan friendly foods and oat milk. I hope OH will get in touch with his GP today about his missing medication. Have a good day everyone. It looks a little damp here but not cold. I want to put our oleander back outside!

karmalady Mon 17-Apr-23 07:08:58

Good morning from cloudy s somerset

Out and about today, no appointments, just generally pottering but I retain structure to my day, my body clock benefits. Meal times at same time, bed time at the same time

I shall slot in a short cycle ride this morning and will carry on with my knitting, I am at yarn chicken stage, using frogged yarn in two colours and cannot wait to see if I have enough

Have a good day

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull. It’s looking a little grey so I’m hoping the sun will come out.

Best wishes for your appointment at the hospital Mick.

We had a glorious afternoon with the DC and GC in the garden yesterday and they enjoyed a buffet. GD had us all running up and down the garden doing egg and spoon races but then burst into tears as her egg kept falling off the spoon when she ran.
Today I assuming I’m picking up GS from school if only his mother would let me know. I expect she’ll go through my son to tell me as usual.

Enjoy your Monday everyone it’s lovely to see spring it certainly lifts the spirits. 🌻🌻

Gingster Mon 17-Apr-23 07:18:57

Good morning all and it’s a little dreary here in Essex after a beautiful day yesterday.

Today I’ll take DD for her full body scan. She’ll be there a few hours as she has to have dye injected through her body and has to sit for an hour before the actual scan. I’ll drop her off and go back for her later as the parking is a problem . Hopefully the Immunotherapy has done its magic 🙏.
Little DGD will stay here for the night due to her mum being radioactive😬. .

We had a lovely day with them yesterday. Twin gs’s (ardent West Hammers) and grandad (lifelong gooner) watched a very tense match. Ended up 2 all.

Good luck with your infusions today Mick
You’ll soon be running up those hills GM 🏃🏻‍♀️.

Take care all and have a ‘good’ day. 🌷

Grammaretto Mon 17-Apr-23 07:21:20

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Overcast and looks like rain. A shame because it's our U3A walk today.

I slept very badly - which affects the day

DMiL is at last in a proper ward and will begin treatment today. I saw her on Saturday when she was mostly asleep and she's had plenty of visitors so I'll be kept up to date.
My Helper has called off at the last minute which is annoying. I had some big jobs lined up for her. wink
All the best Mick with your infusion.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Wyllow3 Mon 17-Apr-23 07:23:06

Morning from an overcast S Yorks.

This mooring Mr Power Wash is coming to do the patio (large and very grubby) and the drive so it will look spiffing afterwards. It was hard to find someone - a lot of people seem to have their own these days but its a 2 hour plus job to do it well and I'm not up to it.

Bests for poorlies and childcare, enjoy outings, and may curtain finding and decorating go well.

Jaxjacky Mon 17-Apr-23 07:23:17

Morning from high cloud in S Hants.
Good luck today Mick.
Enjoy your gentler day gMattie.
Back on the voluntary phones today after last week’s BH, some domestic chores to do and quiz tonight.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 17-Apr-23 07:23:53

Morning all

It looks as if the weather is trying to brighten up, it’s still a tad chilly though.
Off to the gym first thing, then a manicure with a new lady (I miss the lady I have used for the last 16 years, but hey ho she has an exciting new life ahead)

Have a good day folks 🙋‍♀️🦩

BlueSapphire Mon 17-Apr-23 07:26:25

Good morning everyone from a grey and damp Northampton, but it is supposed to clear up and be sunny this afternoon.

Out to yoga at 9am, then home for a coffee then lunch. Start to clean and tidy ready for my coffee morning on Wednesday.
Out for my Covid jab this afternoon then get the bus to M&S Food to shop for aforementioned coffee morning; cakes, cream and pretty flowers. I already have a tea bread in the freezer I can thaw out.
Must find time to ring my DSis as it is her birthday.

Spent a pleasant afternoon in the park yesterday listening to my ex-pupil play the piano along with his jazz trio. Had a glass of prosecco, then my next-door neighbour came along and bought me a second prosecco! There was a chill wind so left a bit earlier, but I managed to have a word with my lovely ex-pupil, and he played a favourite song for me.

Have a good Monday everyone.

brook2704 Mon 17-Apr-23 07:26:48

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a lovely sunny start to the day
Good to hear things are going ok gMattie with new experiences every day
We just need to drop off the DGC at school this morning and then we’ve successfully completed our 5 days of looking after them. DD2 and Sil arrived safely back home from Switzerland last night - hopefully they’ve all had a good time. It’s been tiring but so enjoyable having them staying here but I’ll need a rest now. Monday is usually one of my gym days but I’m going to give it a miss today and stay home and potter in the garden instead
Hoping all goes well today for your DD Gingster and hoping your MiL is more comfortable now Grammaretto
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Pittcity Mon 17-Apr-23 07:28:33

Good morning from sunny Colchester. The heating hasn't bumped on. Maybe spring is here at last after a couple of false starts.
I have piles of laundry which will dry nicely outside. DH is home from his travels with smelly, muddy clothes. He is off again on Wednesday, so I have 2 days to turn it around.
He'll spend today drying tents etc.
Love to all 🦩 x

Marydoll Mon 17-Apr-23 07:31:58

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is 10°C.
You are certainly being well looked after by the NHS, Mick.

Busy, but exciting times ahead of you GM.I don't know why I thought you drove GM, or is Bristol like Glasgow, where driving isn't easy?

Baubles, I hope everything settles down for you.💐

Yesterday was pretty busy again, but because it involved Babydoll, I'm not complaining. She was sent back to hospital on Saturday by the midwife for some checks, but after yesterday's visit, the midwife was happier. Her dad was a very poorly baby and child, so we weren't surprised.
What a contented wee thing she is, her daddy cried practically non stop for the first two years. DH was all for sending him back! 😉!

The whole family turned up at DS' the same time and Dollie was besotted with her. She had to sit beside whoever was holding the baby. All our concerns, about Dollie feeling pushed aside by the baby, came to nothing.
My two boys, who have a rather tense and strained relationship, were talking to each other like they were years ago, which lifted my spirits no end.

DD left, without taking the Mars Bar cake I had made for everyone, so I had to take a trip up to her village later with it.
Otherwise I would have eaten it and I have already overindulged in Easter eggs!
My new regime starts today, well actually not until I have eaten all my stash! 😉
It was good to have a proper chat with DD, she works long hours and weekends are precious. Her visits are usually short.
She had a surprise for me. My fitbit broke and I was considering buying a new one, because it helps me manage my heart rate etc.
She had a spare one, had charged it up and bought a charger and new strap for it, to give to me. 🥰

I may go for a wander around Silverburn, it won't be so busy now that the schools are back.
Also, I need to contact my GP about changing my rescue pack antibiotics.

Wishing you all a pleasant day, whatever your plans.

Marydoll Mon 17-Apr-23 07:37:11

Gingster, I hope all goes well for your DD today.
Years ago I had a full body scan, it took forever. I hope things have improved.
It was discovered I had two stress fractures on my foot, totally unrelated to what I was being scanned for!
That explained why my foot was so painful!

Grammaretto for you and MIL. 💐

kittylester Mon 17-Apr-23 07:42:52

Good all from a greyish North Leicestershire.

I have the North face of the Eiger to tackle today and then will need to sit down and recover!

Have the best day possible everyone.

grandMattie Mon 17-Apr-23 07:44:47

I do drive, Marydoll, but I don’t enjoy it, hate new places and my bad eyesight mean that, quite honestly, I can easily either bus or Uber everywhere. I’ve promised my car to DGS once DS has left in August

monk08 Mon 17-Apr-23 07:48:12

Good morning all from a dull Black country rain overnight again.
Waiting on the garage to get back to us we have an oil leak which needs attending to, the dealership we take it to has moved and the new place is further away DH is wary trying a local garage having always used the dealership.
Whitewave loved your description of the spring advancement.
Mick all the best for your infusion.
Best wishes to anyone celebrating, safe travels those on the move and virtual hugs where needed.
Enjoy your Monday and may you all find some ☀️.
