Good morning everyone from Inverness where we’ve light grey cloud and it’s dry
Hope your DDs scan goes ok today Gingster
I skipped the gym yesterday and planned on having a bit of a rest but the weather was so lovely that I spent it getting two loads of washing dried outside and then mowing the lawn and weeding. This morning I’m meeting a friend for coffee and a catch up and then a trip to Tesco. Later on we’re helping with the after school activities and DGD will probably be back here for her usual Tuesday sleepover
Your day sounds lovely karma enjoy the cycle trip to the farm shop
Hoping all goes well for your DH kitty
Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning all and it’s a bright one here in Essex.

Yesterday DD had a phone call from the hospital, just as we were heading there, to say her scan was cancelled, due to equipment not working 😳. So frustrating!

They phoned in the afternoon to say it’s on for today at 1.40. 🤞.
So all arrangements re-arranged.!
I’ll have little gd here after school for the night, as Dd will be radioactive.,

Thanks for all your lovely messages yesterday. I’ll carry your thoughts through for today.❤️

GG chicken pox is doing the rounds here too. Hope your little ones have it mildly.

Karma your toast and hedgerow jelly sounds delish!

Marydoll how’s babydoll doing? 👶🏼.

Hope everyone has a good day.🌷

Good morning from a dry but dull N. Bucks.
We have DGS3 for an hour first thing and then my brother and SIL are arriving around midday. We shall all pop round to Dd3 for a cup of tea once DGS2 is home from school.
Wishing you all a good day with a smile along the way.

Good morning from a sunny but cool south coast, a walk along this beach followed by breakfast and then a trip to a small beach where we spent many happy hours when our children were young.
Thankyou for all of your good wishes for our Anniversary yesterday. It was a good day, most of it spent planning (as much as we could) for our next move and with it a different way of life.
Exciting or scary? Too soon to say.
Have a good day everyone and let’s hope it’s a sunny day for us all.

BlueBalou Tue 18-Apr-23 07:20:26

Good morning from a chilly Wiltshire hill, a grey-skied start here.
Yesterday was tiring, I don’t really know why. I walked DDog first thing then took DH to B&Q.
I did a pile of ironing when I got back, I don’t mind ironing especially if I can listen to a podcast at the same time.
Today I need to do some watercolour painting, I have a couple of workshops coming up tomorrow and Sunday and need to do some prep work.
DDog has dog walker so she’ll be worn out!
Have a lovely day everyone x

Pressed post too soon before sending love to all 🦩 x

Good morning from sunny Colchester. I've just put the bins out and it's very mild.
Volunteering in the charity shop today as it's Tuesday. Not sure which coat to wear. We have a uniform top and fleece. I shall leave my vest at home!

Good morning from an overcast Torbay with sun expected later, as it is for karmalady’s part of the world.

Thank you for your kind comment, grandMattie. Yes, I do feel blessed to be this well less than six months since the surgery. You’ve almost reached your goal with your move so a few weeks relaxing with your family should set you up for settling into your new abode.

Your families are lucky to have your availability for (grand) childcare, Grandmabatty and GrannyGravy13. I hope your DD has some cooling spray, if your poor grandsons have chickenpox.

I have a Little Theatre Committee meeting tonight which I hope will finish at a reasonable hour. We are travelling to Southampton tomorrow to join a cruise on French rivers so a day of packing awaits!

Let’s hope we all see some bright skies today, in every sense. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Morning from sunny S Hampshire. I’m pleased yesterday went well Mick.
Good news gMattie, have fun with your exploring today.
Voluntary phone was relatively quiet yesterday, I have some sorting of lifts to do today. Quiz was fun last night, it’s becoming very popular, far too much competition 🙂.
Washing to get on, phone calls to make and a walk somewhere.
Enjoy your day 🦩🦩

Good morning all from North Leicestershire where it is a bit cloudy.

Early start today as DH has a check up at the hospital. Assuming all is well, we will go to M&S to return some things and, doubtless, buy some more.

Our cleaners will do their magic at some stage while we are out.

Have the best day possible everyone.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 18-Apr-23 06:43:49

Morning all

Not sure whether or not I am on Granny duty today, DD thinks the boys have either got multiple gnat bites or chicken pox. If it’s the latter then they will be here 😱

Fingers crossed for you grandMattie

Have a good day 🙋‍♀️🦩

Grammaretto Tue 18-Apr-23 06:41:30

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. A haar again. Yesterday's walk was lovely but almost too warm! I was overdressed. We could see the Bass rock in the distance, white with gannets and guana.
I shall visit DMiL in hospital today and pray that she will come home soon.

It's frustrating gMattie when classes stop for the Summer yet it will give you a chance to explore your new surroundings.
Hoping everyone has a happy day.
How's BabyDoll today?

Morning Mick, morning All. A calm day forecast for our corner of Somerset with some sun later.

Our decorator arrived on time, to the minute. We wandered out by bus and left him to it. Returned to find he’d completed 80% of the job, will finish by lunch time.

Coffee with a friend for me this morning, Mr C has a couple of gentle jobs he wants to do and a jigsaw to finish. Suspect late afternoon and evening will see us moving furniture back into place, the refilling of cupboards likely to wait until tomorrow.

Good luck with the buses grandmattie. I’m sure you’ll soon get the hang of them

Take care everyone.

Grandmabatty Tue 18-Apr-23 06:35:01

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 6° and cloudy. Mick good to hear that yesterday went well. Grandmattie also good to hear that you might be in your new place soon. Even without furniture! Karma I like to hear about your plants setting forth. Up here it's still very early spring.
Yesterday was a good day with the boys. No drama, just a quiet day playing with dgs2 and going for a walk. We also braved Aldi and as a reward I took him to the swings which he loves. Dgs1 was tired after nursery so cuddled up beside me on the couch while dgs2 was napping and we watched trains on YouTube. His happy place.
Today will be more of the same. Homemade pancakes with maple syrup for breakfast, soup for lunch and playing with toys. I take my lead from dgs2. We will have to go back to Aldi I fear, as I'm out of bread. Chicken and ham salad for dinner. Have a good day all

Good morning, s somerset will be sunny later this morning, Apple blossoms are just starting to open and all types of bees are busy on gooseberries and blueberries. Nature is coming into its own again.

Chiropodist appointment early, just for general foot care. Home for my favourite one slice of thin crunchy granary hm toast with hedgerow jelly, matured from 2012. I love this more than any cake. Beautiful treat with a small coffee made from home ground beans

Then cycling further to an organic farm shop, I need a pack of salad leaves. I cannot do without my daily salad, love it. I shall also explore what they are selling. This is an e bike trip as there are two big big long hills and I have a pannier bag which may be heavy. A lovely day ahead for me

A good day to all of you

grandMattie Tue 18-Apr-23 06:07:29

I meant to add that I’m so happy for Ash and her DH, and all she is now able to do. How lovely for both of them. 🫂

grandMattie Tue 18-Apr-23 05:56:45

Good morning from Bristol. Not looked out yet but the forecast is for spring sunshine. I was really chilly yesterday.
I’m happy for you that things went well yesterday, Mick. Long may the effects last.
Spoke to the solicitor who is very hopeful that everything will be sorted by next week, and I could move in then. Unfortunately, due to distance, etc., my possessions in storage cannot be delivered until after the first May bank holiday…. So the news is a bit “curate’s eggish”.
I’ve been looking at Spanish classes but they peter out in a few weeks, not worth joining until September/October.
Today, I shall brave the buses into town and see if I can have the battery for my iPad changed. I need to recharge every 3 hours or so; not very satisfactory.
Marydoll, I’m glad everything is going well with babydoll, and even happier for regarding your sons’ rapprochement.
I hope today brings everyone a small chink of sunshine ☀️. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩❤️🦩
