Good Morning Everyone,
I have woken up to a foggy but dry start here in brackley this morning.
Plans for the day hopefully to Bicester on the bus ,and then do my usual Saturday routine of a breakfast bap plus coffee and return to have a Chinese Take Away later .
Take Care,
Mick

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull. It’s grey and damp out.

Good news grandMattie you will soon be settled in. You do sound wrung out with it all. 💐💐

Loving the holiday pictures this morning.

Last night we went to see a musical called Showstoppers which was very funny. It’s completely improvised in front of the audience which was very clever.
This morning we are going over to DDs to look after the little ladies. DH has got to take GD to jujitsu class which he’s looking forward to and she will be excited to have Grandad watching her. I’ll stay with little B. If she needs a nap I’ll take her for a walk in the buggy.
This afternoon we need to take our friend his birthday gift. We have done him a hamper of various bird foods as that is his hobby.

Have a lovely Saturday everyone. Thoughts to those struggling with stress and illness. 🌻🌻

God morning all from a cloudy Glasgow where it's 3°C and cloudy.
Great news GM, you can breathe now.
I am glad to hear there is a slight improvement in your DD's health Susan.

I was so disappointed in my Sainsbury's trip yesterday, due to the fact that I had my eye on something for ages and was waiting until the sale to buy it. There was only one left and you could have got two of me into it. I actually didn't need it, but was seduced by the raspberry pink colour.
A kindly assistant offered to go and look in the stockroom, asking me to hold a piece of clothing she was trying to put back, but couldn't find where it should go.
Unfortunately, there were no more jackets, but I had managed to put back the clothing for her, while I waited! 😉
I always find the assistants so friendly and helpful in this Sainsbury's.

We have no plans for today. The children are all busy and between us, I'm glad of the rest! It's been a busy old week.
Babydoll had her first walk in the sunshine yesterday and DS said she was so content. I always advise not posting photos of family, but surely all babies look the same. 😉😄

DD usually calls me on her way to the station every second night, but I was surprised to receive a call last night.
Between the wind, the Glasgow traffic and the excitement in her voice, I could hardly make her out.
Due to her dyslexia, life has always been a bit of a struggle for her. She works for a large international company and yesterday was called to meeting with one of the partners, to offer her a big promotion. She had reluctantly taken over a struggling department on a temporary basis and had turned it around.
I am so proud of her.

Wishing you all a pleasant Sunday, whatever your plans.
Sar, I hope you feel better soon.💐

Good morning from a grey, damp Co Durham.
GMattie, so good that things are settled now, hope the setting in is swift.
Some delightful photos here this morning. The one of Babydoll is beautiful.
Went for a drink and chat at our local community hall with my friend last evening. We talked non stop for three hours. Finally got home at 11pm. We certainly put the world to rights 😂.
Hope all who are under the weather start to feel better soon.

Good morning Mick and everyone from a Misty/foggy Oxfordshire, not sure when mist becomes fog.
Well done GM so relieved for you.
Such a lovely baby Marydoll.
Off to collect my new glasses from the Optician this morning, we were going to have a wander along the river as well, but it’s too cold and damp, so back home for some more decluttering.
I have to say it isn’t going very well at the moment, everything seems essential, or too good to give away, maybe I should resurrect my eBay account and start to sell it? Groan……

Have a good day everyone and let’s hope the sun shines soon.

Grammaretto Sat 22-Apr-23 08:23:12

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Our great weather of the last few days has become cold but I'll sow the seeds and plant the plants I bought yesterday in Peebles.

So glad your move is back on course gMattie

Lovely photo of peaceful BabyDoll Marydoll and well done your DD

Glad the river cruise is enjoyable Ash

Here's a photo of the cuddy burn, Peebles.

Morning all

Off to Aldi first thing, then I have a date with my sofa, my book and a large latte. No plans for today, yippee.

What a relief grandMattie you can now plan your new decor.

Good morning all from South Lanarkshire. It’s another cool and bright one, however there’s rain forecast for later.

So pleased for you Mattie.

I hope you feel better Sar.

That traybake sounds delicious Karmalady. I’m doing some cupcakes to take to DS’s tomorrow, it’s been an age since I baked, I lost my mojo but will force myself.

Beautiful photos, Gwen and Ash and Grammaretto, I love a wander round Peebles.

Babydoll is gorgeous, congratulations to your DD MaryD.

Couldn’t be bothered with the supermarket yesterday so now I’ll have to today. #masterofprocrastination

Have the best day possible everyone.

Hurray gMattie, at last.
You must be thoroughly fed up Sar, this bug has gone on long enough.

Good morning all from a very blustery but sunny day here on the east coast of Fife I think it’s going to be very warm around the back of my house think I’ll be sitting in the garden today.

My lovely cousins are visiting this afternoon with their handsome wee GS it’s going to be fun and games. Just home my cousin has time to water my forget me nits the sun has dried them up.
My favourite carer is in this morning. It’s going to be a good day

Love to all who may not be so blessed

hollysteers Sat 22-Apr-23 09:12:11

Good morning Mick and all from a damp northwest coast. Off to DD’s friend’s father’s 80th this afternoon, marquee in the garden, pity it’s not sunny. DD spent last night helping friend prepare for the event. I stayed home and watched Magpie Murders.

Excellent news GM and hope you are improving Sar
Watercolour of mine.

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton. Trying to write this with a cat on my lap which is making it difficult as she needs to be in on everything.

Poured with rain 'all day yesterday so a day in was on the cards. Made a large curry, 6 portions altogether, so five to go in the freezer this morning. Spent the afternoon reading, and have at last finished Hard Times; I found the storyline got better as I went on. Ordered the next two books for book club, which are due to arrive today.

Watched my rugby team on tv yesterday evening, a must win match which we managed with ease for once, trouncing Newcastle 66-5!

A visit to the little local retail park later for coffee, and a top-up shop. Shall have a bite to eat as well. Also need to return something to Next. A friend has told me of a Next outlet shop in town, so must investigate that next week.

Good news for you grandMattie, you'll soon be settled.

Have a good Saturday everyone.

Franbern Sat 22-Apr-23 09:20:31

Seems we have some sort of mini climate in Weston super Mare this morning, as it is bright and sunny, with clear blue sky. Probably will not last long!!!,
Today, 48 years ago I gave birth to my two youngest children, girls, and eleven years ago one of them gave birth to their second daughter (my youngest g.child). so three birthdays in the family today.
This afternoon I am due my next Covid jab, glad that I am recovered enough from my recent very nasty bout of bronchitus to get this. Hope it will not be raining to heavily as my GP surgery takes me a good twenty minutes to get to on my mobility scooter,
Good to hear of another GN mover finally getting completion, totally understand their tears, can remember, all to well, when I go that great news three and half years ago.

TopsyIrene06 Sat 22-Apr-23 09:36:41

Lovely morning here, long may it last. A low flying police helicopter over the park today so hopefully all is OK although horrible things have happened there in the past.
MD beautiful baby - lovely features. Well done your DD.

Baggs Sat 22-Apr-23 09:41:03

Good news, gM! Woohoo at last!

hulahoop Sat 22-Apr-23 09:47:49

It's a very wet morning here in W/York's. That's good news GM.*Sar*hope you start feeling better soon.

Ziplok Sat 22-Apr-23 09:49:36

Good morning
It’s starting to brighten up a touch after a very wet start. I don’t think we’ll have much in the way of sun though.
Congratulations GrandMattie. You must be so relieved to be getting the keys today.
Beautiful baby, Marydoll.
I really liked Honfleur when we visited many years ago, Ash and the cathedral at Rouen is beautiful, isn’t it.?
Lots of lovely holiday pics on the thread today.
Well, I’d better finish my tea and get a move on.

Georgesgran Sat 22-Apr-23 09:53:41

Good morning from a cool, wet Durham. I had garden plans today as there was supposed to be only a 30% chance of rain, but that changed to 80% overnight!
For some reason it seems most house purchases/completions are late afternoon - at least it’s sorted now *gM’ you must be so pleased. I remember sitting at an Estate Agent, late one Friday afternoon, waiting for the solicitor to confirm transfer of funds to get the house keys for my BF - she’d been sitting on her (new) doorstep with a furniture wagon and 9 men, waiting to unload it from mid-morning!
I, too, have Dunelm curtains in mind for my lounge. They’re made to measure, so a hefty price tag, but nowhere near as much as others on my shortlist.
I hope everyone has the best weekend they can. X

harrigran Sat 22-Apr-23 09:55:04

Good morning from a grey NE where it is 8 degrees.
Had a lovely catch up with my friend yesterday. The restaurant meal was superb and we had a decent bottle of Sancerre.
I had a text from GP surgery inviting me to book my booster, when I rang I was 7th in line so only had to wait about 15 minutes. Got an appointment for Wednesday morning which is ideal as SIL will be here to take me shopping.
Sister and BIL will visit this afternoon and family will be coming too to spend the rest of the day here.
Great news grandMattie, that is a relief.
Have a good weekend everyone.

I love the watercolour hollysteers

Kalu Sat 22-Apr-23 11:21:40

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow where the chilly wind is still persisting on keeping the temperature low.

A lovely start to the day with a FaceTime chat with both DDs. DD1 arranged this to include her sister in OZ. An example of when technology is wonderful, chatting over a coffee with my girls. I’m not a complete technophobe but I will have to ask the girls how to do this. Probably easy when you know how. 🤞

Lovely selection of pics this morning.
Good luck with your Repulse Monkey move Taichi. No idea what it is but I’m sure you will master it.
Almost there GM. A collective sigh of relief for you is imminent.

Have a good Saturday everyone.

Forsythia Sat 22-Apr-23 13:23:26

Very late as I’ve been in the garden digging since 8, making the most of a dry spell.
Just wanted to say congratulations at last to GrandMattie.
A beautiful baby on her first day out MaryDoll.

Have a great day all.
