Good Morning Everyone,
I have woken up to a foggy but dry start here in brackley this morning.
Plans for the day hopefully to Bicester on the bus ,and then do my usual Saturday routine of a breakfast bap plus coffee and return to have a Chinese Take Away later .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from Bristol. Haven’t looked out yet, but very chilly, the forecast was for about 1-2C.
You can let your collective breaths out. The completion of purchase has FINALLY taken place around 3pm. I’m very glad I wasn’t waiting on the doorstep to move in! That will take place next Thursday/Friday.
Having heard nothing from the solicitor, I had completely given up hope by lunchtime, called the solicitor around 215, she was at lunch. She called me back a bit later to say the paperwork had been sent to her, did I want to complete? Did I just! About 10 minutes after that, she called back to say that all had been done. I broke down into tears (again - I had been snivelling most of the day) and told a jubilant DD. Collecting the keys this morning
We celebrated by buying three pairs of lined curtains from Dunelm, for just shy of £100, one of which was only £6. A bargain worthy of Marydoll.
Thank you all for all your interest and support over these last difficult weeks. Life will be easier once in.
I’m glad Ashand her DH are enjoying their cruise. Hope the poorly DDs and/or families are in a better place. Carpe diem 🎉🎉🍾🦩🦩🦩🦩❤️🦩

Good morning Mick and everyone else from an exceedingly foggy hilltop village in Wiltshire, I can barely see the houses opposite this morning.
Yesterday I had a brilliant one to one painting tutorial, I learned so much in that couple of hours with a lovely artist who lives in a house with beautiful views (seriously envious me!)
Back at home today the fence is being put up, i hope that the garden will look neat and tidy when everything is finished.
Today is housework then I will do some painting and put into practice what I learnt yesterday.
I will walk DDog early and then crack on😊
I hope you all have a lovely weekend x

BlueBalou Sat 22-Apr-23 06:13:22

Woohoo! 👏👏
At last grandMattie, I hope you will be very happy in your new home 💐

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. Such good news GM. You must be over the moon. We have a houseful - me and OH, brother and his partner and my younger son. Sister and niece are staying a few minutes away. Daughter is arriving this afternoon. Milo and Ripley are certainly enjoying the extra attention. My sister is taking over the kitchen today to create my birthday lunch for tomorrow! Will she make a cake too?! Have a good day everyone.

Susan56 Sat 22-Apr-23 06:42:59

Good morning from Shropshire.

Brilliant news grandMattie.I am so pleased for you🍾🥂

A busy day yesterday. We took the children home after school. They asked if they could come back with us for a sleepover so a house full again.DD seemed a little bit better yesterday so hopefully another restful day will see more improvement🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Tonight I am going to ‘An evening with Anton du Beke’ at a local theatre.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

karmalady Sat 22-Apr-23 06:43:05

Good morning, s somerset is foggy and at zero degrees, no sun forecast

Wonderful news GM, at long last, I am so happy for you flowers

Just pottering today and am thinking about making that big traybake this morning, probably will do half as fig/oat and the other half as apricot/oat. This morning would be apt, to warm the kitchen

A daily walk into town later, around the old historic area and back home. There is a serene calm atmosphere in that area, slightly wonky houses which exude vibes from the past. I won`t take my purse today, I feel as though I would be easily tempted by a croissant on the way home. Lips and hips come to mind

Have a good day today

Good morning from down South. Looking dry. Not too cold a morning?
GM sounds like a relief for you.
La hope she does make a cake!

cornergran Sat 22-Apr-23 06:46:09

Morning Mick, morning All from a misty corner of Somerset.

Spent most of the day sorting clothes yesterday. All I say is I never, ever need another top with three quarter sleeves!

Covid top up jab for us this morning, not sure what else today.

Wonderful news grandmattie. I’m delighted for you. Emotion definitely allowed. I’m sure there will be cake ladylfl, no peeking today smile. Wonder where ash has drifted to on her cruise today.

Take care everyone. Hope Saturday is kind to us all.

Good morning to you all. Thursday was such a beautiful day. On the spur of the moment we went to Bath and ate lunch in Cöte Brasserie from their fixed price menu which is very good value.

Yesterday was DGS2’s second birthday. He loved his scooter. Today is his family birthday party. Last year we were all in the garden on a hot, sunny day. This year forecast is for rain and 11c. 🥴

Lovely to see that Babydoll is doing well. So glad you can finally get moving GM. Very best wishes to all who are waiting for test results.

Sar53 Sat 22-Apr-23 06:58:23

Good morning from Essex by the sea.
Congratulations GM great news, upwards and onwards now 😀💐.
I'm still feeling poorly so won't be doing a lot today.
Have a lovely weekend everyone xx

Whitewavemark2 Sat 22-Apr-23 06:59:34

Good morning from the South Downs where it is a tad warmer than yesterday I fancy but no sun yet. Yesterday was forecast rain all day but not a drop fell, in fact it was quite a nice day.

gm the final hurdle is nearly complete, how splendid.

cornergran we planned to go last Thursday, but didn’t fancy standing around in the chilly wet wind (ours is a walk-in ambulance) so will go next Thursday.

Gardening planned if the weather holds up and it isn’t too cold.

Live r and bacon for dinner.

Enjoy your day peeps

Good morning from a drizzly mooring at Honfleur.

Yesterday, we enjoyed a walk around Rouen, where there are many medieval houses. We also visited the cathedral which was impressive. A courtesy bus took us to and from the city.

I am so pleased to hear that completion has taken place, grandMattie. What a relief!

It sounds like many of you have interesting plans for the weekend so I wish you happy times. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Greyduster Sat 22-Apr-23 07:10:03

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a dreary cold South Yorkshire. It was horribly wet for most of yesterday so I was stuck indoors but it cleared sufficiently later on for me to have a walk with my neighbour and her dog. I have some cooking to do for DD et al who are coming to lunch on Sunday. No roast this week. Slow cooked beef ribs for the boys and fish pie for DD and myself. Comfort food.
Glad to hear you’re Green for Go at last, GM! Every good wish!
Have the best day you can folks.

Greyduster Sat 22-Apr-23 07:11:27

Great photos, Ash! Thankyou.

Grandmabatty Sat 22-Apr-23 07:12:19

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 5° and cloudy. Rain is forecast. Grandmattie I'm so pleased for you that you can move forward very soon. Susan enjoy an evening with Anton! Sar I hope you get better soon. You've had a bad time of it.
Yesterday I had dgs2 for a while. He was no bother. Dd stayed for a while after he woke from his nap and we had a blether. It's rare to just have time with her on her own as usually the boys are rampaging round.
Today I will go to Aldi early as dgs1 is coming for a sleepover. He has it planned. 😊 So I have to get popcorn for a movie night. He's four and is in bed at half seven,so I'm not sure how much of a movie night we'll have. Definitely a visit to the park is on the cards, either today or tomorrow morning, depending on the weather. Have a good day all.

Gwenisgreat1 Sat 22-Apr-23 07:30:59

So glad you have at last got a moving in date GrandMattie what a relief!!
Sorry Sar you are still feeling below par - I’m a poet and didn’t know it!
Will have to post this before my battery packs in.
Have the best day possible folks

Pittcity Sat 22-Apr-23 07:39:35

Good morning from foggy Colchester. 12° and cloudy is today's forecast.
DD1 will be here soon as she likes to do the Park Run and we live next to the park. I will sit with DGS3 (6) until she's finished and DH will take DGS1(12) fishing.
Great news Mattie .
Love to all 🦩 x

kittylester Sat 22-Apr-23 07:40:47

Morning all from a bright but chilly North Leicestershire.

DH is aiming to weed and sand the patio while I am going to look into changing house insurance as this year's rise from AXA is huge.

Have a great day all.

EkwaNimitee Sat 22-Apr-23 07:40:52

Thank goodness, grandMattie! Now we can all stop worrying for you.
On my way out to shops, read later.

monk08 Sat 22-Apr-23 07:40:54

Good morning all from the Black country where the sun is making a breakthrough.
grandMattie I'm so pleased for you I hope you will be very happy in your new home.
Car repaired overall cost not as much as expected so that was good news.
Small local shop and another bag to charity shop then we are over to Redditch later to our friends.
Will come back later to catch up with everybody's happenings it's that time of the week again full English calling.
Enjoy your Saturday whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

Beechnut Sat 22-Apr-23 07:49:02

Good Morning everyone from misty Severnside. It’s cold here on the thermostat this morning.

Overcast right now, rain not expected until this afternoon so I’ll do a bit in the garden this morning. Sewing this afternoon.

Lovely photos this morning and congratulations Mattie. Not many more sleeps until you’re in your new home 💐🦩

Taichinan Sat 22-Apr-23 07:49:17

Good morning all. It's another sunny (but chilly) one on the Angus coast.
At last Grandmattie! That's wonderful - your new life is about to start and I wish you every happiness flowers
Sorry to hear you're still feeling poorly Sar. I hope you can get a doctor's appointment soon as that's a long time to feel poorly.
Ladyleftfield what a wonderful thing a full house is! Enjoy every minute of your birthday weekend.
Lovely photos Ash, thank you.
Today for me is a tai chi in-house Workshop. Each instructor is going to do an in-depth look at a different aspect of the set, which will be interesting. Mine is a move called Repulse Monkey. A senior international instructor once said "There are no wrong ways to do a move - but there ARE better ways", so I hope my interpretation fits into the 'better' category! I'm quite nervous actually - silly, because it's no different to taking my weekly classes (just more people).
I hope everyone has the best Saturday x

brook2704 Sat 22-Apr-23 07:49:57

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s cloudy, cool and grey. The warm sunshine has disappeared for a while now so winter woolies back on!
So very pleased for you gMattie what a relief, you’re almost there now
Lovely photos Gwen and Ash thanks for sharing
I’m going into town this morning for a quick browse around the shops then looking after the DGC for a while as DD and SiL are going looking at and test driving a newish car.
Hope you’re feeling a bit better soon Sar
If you’re meeting friends and family have a lovely time and take care all whatever the day brings 💐
