Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s bright, dry and sunny but cold at just about 1º
Hang on in there gMattie, almost there now
Lovely holiday photos again today, we’ve been to Fowey ginny and thought it was really beautiful.
I’ve nothing planned this morning but later I’m looking forward to picking up DGD from school and taking her to her dance and choir classes before she comes back here for her regular Tuesday sleepover. DGS does other after school activities in a completely different part of town so it just helps if we look after one of them on a Tuesday!
Lovely cake glammagran
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good Morning Tuesday 25th April 2023
(53 Posts)Good Morning Everyone,
I have woken up to a clear sky and dry conditions here in brackley this morning.
Today my usual bus trip to Bicester , but before get into some housework .
And return to watch cycling on TV .
Take Care,
Mick
Good morning Mick and all from a very sunny morning on the Angus coast. But Boy! Is it cold! That wind chill is something else again I spent yesterday just trying to keep warm, with no energy for anything else.
And apart from that, nothing to report.
Grandmattie the end is now in sight - it's that feeling of not being in control of your own life which is so horrid, and you've had so much of that this past year. Well done to Iris for yesterday. I used to love the children's plays and concerts.
Today is Tai chi again this morning, followed by a small shop, and then dental hygienist this afternoon, so a busy day.
Bluebalou I was just like you and used to go to any class and workshop I could find. One week-long workshop was held at St Andrews University, where I met someone who introduced me to tai chi - the rest is history as they say. There wasn't room in my life for two passions!
Enjoy all those cuddles with little Babydoll Marydoll So precious!
Grandmabatty I hope your tummy upset has passed now and you're feeling better today.
Susan
Enjoy all your doings today everyone x
Morning all
I am having a pottering day today as it was confirmed last night the next two teachers strike days mean I will be on Granny duty so my plans have had to be cancelled. I love spending time with the GC but it would be nice to do what I want when I want 🤣🤣
Hope all the poorly folk have a better day 🙋♀️💐
Good morning. Another bright start to the day in Fowey.
Yesterday I thought the boat trip might not happen as we had a heavy shower just after I booked. Luckily it was short and the trip up the estuary was very pleasant with some commentary along the way.
No plans yet for today. I might just relax and paint.
forSusan56 and any one else who needs a cheer up.
Wishing all a good day with a smile along the way.
Good morning all from sunny but frosty South Lanarkshire.
The last couple of days have been busy with additional dog walking duties for me as DH is suffering with a flare up of his arthritis of the knee. This is the worst he’s been, it may be time to get on the list for surgery as up until now his consultant had been urging him to wait until he can no longer manage the pain.
I have a dental hygienist appointment again today after which I’m off to the hairdresser for a keratin treatment. My hair suffered after my illness last year, handfuls fell out and while it did grow back I now have random sections of extremely wavy hair while the rest is just slightly wavy. I’m hoping this will straighten it out a bit and reduce the frizz.
Have the best possible day everyone.
Good morning from a bright South Downs after a chilly night.
Yesterdays lunch was worrying, as one my friends has been told that she may have lung cancer - never smoked etc. - I am very much hoping that the scan will show not as she looks very well, hasn’t lost weight, no cough etc, just a very croaky voice. But not good times for her poor soul.
She has not been at all well since she retired 6 years ago, and we all said yesterday that the pressure and stress on folk means that work is not good for one’s health. Another friends has had a stroke and has cut back to part time and hoping for early retirement (at 57).
Today is a quiet day for me so gardening which is my joy, interspersed with sitting enjoying the sun, after a stroll with the dog. The tree canopy is really getting underway now - I can see why the pollen count is so high as the flowers in the trees seem to have all come at once - I guess it’s been the cold winter and spring that has delayed it.
Make the most of every day we are given is my mantra for the day.
Have a good day one and all.
Good morning from sunny Colchester. It's very cold. I had to put a coat on to put the bins out.
Tuesday is charity shop volunteering day and we've been very busy for the last couple of weeks. Long may it continue.
DH is replacing the kitchen tap while I'm out. DIY is not his forte but he insists he can do it. I'm glad I won't have to listen to the swearing!
Love to all 🦩 x
Good morning all. Saturdays birthday party went very well despite the weather. Photo is of the cat cake as DGS is very into cats atm. Have him all day today. 🙏
Cross with GP surgery/hospital as my blood test from 12 days ago seems to have vanished in the ether somehow and needs to be redone. Oh well.
Liked the photos from yesterday. We went to Honfleur around 2002, Fowey in 2017 where we had a wonderfully sunny week in June but it was very cold for some reason and Keukenhof in the Netherlands in 2018 with DS and family who were living in Den Hague at the time.
Hope all the poorlies are feeling better soon. Sorry to hear about your moving delay GM. Congratulations to Marydoll on your DD’s promotion and hope Babydoll starts gaining weight.
Good morning all from a sunny, but chilly Glasgow, where it's a -3°C.
Welcome to Carazena, where are you from?.
I haven't much planned, apart from as Mick would say, a small shop.
I didn't feel too well at church yesterday and spent the rest of the day lying down. It's the unpredictability of my health, which I find frustrating, making it difficult to make plans.
I hope GMBatty is feeling better and special shout out from a very unwell grannsnetter, whom I have known for a long time. I know she will be reading this.
Hang on in there, *GMattie^!
Susan, it is understandable that you are feeling so low.💐
For those out and about, enjoy your day and safe journey home Ash.
Morning from an icy S Hampshire, cars are being scraped!
We all have a breaking point gMattie you’ve coped so well.
Enjoy your last day Ashcombe Bordeaux is beautiful.
We won quiz last night, quite surprised, another fun evening.
Today I’ve a bit of sorting out from the voluntary phone yesterday to do, some admin, a walk and sort out dinner.
🦩🦩
Good morning from down South. It is dry. It looks like it will be sunny. Equally I dont trust the weather at all lately, so it might rain!
I ought to go to a jumble and cake stall thing this afternoon. I dont want to go. But I should I think.
Morning all from a bright West Oxfordshire. Today OH is meeting an old friend for lunch in Oxford. Me, sister, brother and his partner are driving over to where we grew up, looking at our father’s grave and maybe arranging a new slab, peeking at the house we grew up in and driving over to Henley on Thames for lunch. OH drove to Windsor yesterday and bought his bee keeping things, including a suit! He will collect his swarm on Saturday and install the hive in another village. Have a good day. GM you’re nearly there!
Good morning Michael and all GNs from a chilly South Yorkshire where the sun is up in a clear sky. Going to be a lovely day. Yesterday went from the sublime to the ridiculous and ended up with an unscheduled trip to town on the tram. How I hate what was our lovely city centre - it’s disgusting. Today I have a medication review over the telephone but haven’t been given a time - just ‘afternoon’ so I’m stuck for going out. I was going to walk up to the reed bed with my binoculars.
Corner the thought of your liver and bacon is making my mouth water!!
Carenza123 welcome! Hope the jumble sale goes well.
Susan💐.
Have the best day you can folks.
good morning to all from s somerset, cheery sun today but not much warmth
Definitely a cycling session today, there is not even one route from home that does not involve hills and sometimes that is quite a scary prospect at my age. A few times a week, that is all I want to keep my strength. The weather is the biggest hinderance with mud, new potholes and water in patches
Yesterday was very satisfying, tidying took longer than expected but nice to be back to normal. I did get to the cs and bought a few things, bargains to be had, as long as I need them. Two nice heavy glass containers, one to hold small accessories and a small stable vase to hold pencils and double pointed needles. Also a bobbin of thick thread/string, will do for drive bands, tying etc and only 70p
Have a good day today
After frost overnight it's a lovely sunny start to the day here in the Black country.
The bin men were here 6.30 so it's an earlier start than I would have liked, but when the sun is shining I don't mind and I've put a wash on.
No plans as yet for the day will see what DH wants to do once he awakes.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.
That was a short cruise, Ash. I remember a very rude song about La Rochelle from my adolescence! 😂
Good morning as we sail up la Gironde in the rain on our approach to Bordeaux.
Yesterday, we strolled around La Rochelle where it was breezy. We are noticing heightened immigration procedures on this cruise. Normally, cruise staff are trusted to implement checks on who boards after a port of call. Now we find that French authorities check our passports, boarding cards and use metal detectors. Brexit just keeps on giving ….!
This is our last stop before we head home to Southampton. Wishing you all a good day and no more moving worries, grandMattie! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩
Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny 🌞Northampton, clear blue skies above.
Hope it is fine in London as well, as I am on a coach trip today to the Sky Gardens, said to be the highest gardens, on top of a skyscraper. Should be some good views if it stays fine, Love going to London, get a real buzz.
Busy morning yesterday, first yoga then home for a coffee, and then spent a couple of hours cutting the front grass, trimming a climbing hydrangea, and pulling ivy away from a house walk before it gets into the eaves. Also sprayed the weeds on the drive. Glad I got that done, as the rain arrived after lunch, so spent the afternoon reading.
Time to shower and dress, and be ready to catch a.bus to the coach pick-up point.
Wishing all a good day.
Apologies. Of course meant susan56 rather than sar.
Morning Mick, morning All. A clear sky over our corner of Somerset,
Went out to a local supermarket in drizzle yesterday and returned like a drowned rat in a full blown downpour. Spent the rest of the day inside on routine stuff before enjoying time to catch up with emails. Without a plan for our meal the fridge held enough of this and that for a very tasty stir fry, not that I could replicate it, one of those throw it all in and see meals.
Hair cut this morning then hope to get out for a walk to make the most of the day. Mr C isn’t too energised, I’ll encourage him to rest while my hair is being trimmed, Liver, bacon and onions later, something we both enjoy.
Difficult time for you sar,
. Nearly there grandmattie, so much change is understandably overwhelming at times.
Special thoughts for all poorly folk. Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.
Good morning everyone. I’m afraid I haven’t posted for a while but as we’re on holiday with granddaughter and she’s woken up at 5.40 I have no excuse! Good news re my DSi bowel cancer operation, that happened yesterday and all went well. I can relax a bit but don’t think there’ll be much of that today. We’re in a well known forest holiday site in Cumbria where it is very cold currently. Today will involve walking and swimming in the enormous pool which is the main attraction here. GM the end is in sight and all the recent stress will soon be a distant memory. Good luck to everyone for a stress free day and some sunshine hopefully.
Good morning from a damp hilltop in Wiltshire, oh to have some sunshine for once!
Today I have absolutely nothing planned at all, I intend to do very little as have been here, there and everywhere for the last 6 days and my oomph has evaporated! Definitely overdone things….
DDog has her lovely dog walker, DH is off on the bus for a hospital appointment and I can suit myself 😊
Yesterday’s art session was using acrylics, great fun and I’d forgotten how good they are to play with! I will dig mine out and do more with them soon.
I hope today goes well for you all, hugs to those who need one x
Good morning from Shropshire.
I am awake far too early but feeling very sad and unsettled after my friends funeral yesterday.
Today I have a blood test and am then driving over to Staffordshire to collect B from school.
I hope Grandmabatty is feeling better and thoughts with all others who are unwell.
Have the best day you can everyone🦩
Good morning! The sky from my window looks to be clear, hopefully a day without rain! Apparently Spain is predicted to have temperatures in the 40s today - wish they would send some heat over here. I am helping at a local jumble sale today. Bring on brighter days!
