Good morning all from a chilly Glasgow, where it is currently -1°C.
I have woken with yet another blinding headache, probably due to a stressful day yesterday, renewing my Blue Badge, my driving licence, chasing up a missing parcel and a dealing with a problem within the parish, which took all my rusty diplomatic skills to sort.
I have no plans for today, I'm struggling a bit with health issues again, I think it is a sign I'm overdoing things.
The garden beckons and I may potter about, if it is not too cold.
Enjoy your day, whatever your plans.

Good Morning Wednesday 26th April 2023
(69 Posts)Good morning from dull and chilly Wiltshire, we actually had lovely sunshine yesterday! It was a cold wind but so good to feel the sun on my face 😊
I pootled yesterday, doing not a lot, and a friend came for coffee.
This morning I have a trip to the hairdresser then I will tackle an overgrown border that’s full of Spanish bluebells (they’re heading for the compost bin), that will keep me busy.
Take care everyone x
Good morning all from a cloudy North Leicestershire.
We are expecting a visit from the Wondrous Wolfie and his mum today and I have lots of admin to do too.
DH and DS1 are off to the football this evening so I have an empty!
Have the best day possible everyone.
Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s gorgeously sunny but with a frost on the ground
Hoping you can find a resolution for the family problems Oops
Another busy day ahead, DGD stayed over last night so we’ll drop her off at school and then I’m off to the gym and then lunch out with a friend.
Enjoy todays adventure Ash!
Good to hear you’re feeling a bit better grandmabatty take care today and put those feet up
Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings 💐
Morning all
It’s grey here in S E Essex, my cleaning fairies are here today, I am off to the gym and then to the hairdressers and a mooch round Gingster’s High Street.
Have a great day folks 🙋♀️🦩
Good morning from a dry if not sunny South Downs.
Yesterday I did more sitting and reading in the sun than actual gardening, but it was rather pleasant. I’ve decided to try to emulate a lady on GW with all her lovely colourful pots - although pots are hard work really with all the watering. Hmm.
Must plant out the sweet peas now that they’ve been hardened off today, and the last of the crocosmia bulbs.
Minestrone soup for lunch to make to use up the veg before tomorrows delivery, and a stir fry using pork for dinner.
Enjoy the day
Good morning all from a dull Black country looks like it will stay like this for the day.
No nursery pick up they are doing a sponsored walk so DiL will be joining him, I shall go and help at toddlers in her place.
Glad to hear your feeling a tad better Grandmabatty take it easy.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.
Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. No sun or rain in the forecast.
Usual Wednesday morning coffee meetup in the city centre followed by a mooch around the shops as DH is off fishing again.
Love to all 🦩 x
Good morning Michael and all GNs from a chilly South Yorkshire. Not sure what the weather has in store but it’s dry at the moment. After waiting in for the pharmacist to ring me all yesterday afternoon, I finally got out for a walk at four o’clock and walked up to the reed bed and back. No reed warblers at the moment. Carpets of forget me nots and dog violets in the hedgerows.
Today I have an early physio appointment and this afternoon writers group at the library.
Have a good day, folks.
grandMattie
Oh, I heard an owl around 330 this morning. I don’t know what sort, but it was toowit-towooing!
Tawny Owl gm
Good morning from a sunny, bonny Berwick upon Tweed. Forecast for today is for a light breeze, and 8 degrees C. Fingers crossed for fair weather this coming Saturday, when the annual Riding of the Bounds will take place. www.northumberlandgazette.co.uk/news/people/excitement-building-for-this-years-riding-of-the-bounds-in-berwick-4103161
Morning Mick, morning All from a cloudy, cool corner of Somerset. Overnight rain with more to come if the forecast is right.
Escaping from the hairdresser, I never enjoy being faffed with, we had a well wrapped up walk by the beach, the sun was very welcome, the cool wind less so.
Dust removal this morning, a list of small things to check up on, some phone calls and that will be it I think.
Sounds as if you’re on the mend grandmab, good to hear. Hope family issues become less worrying oops. Enjoy a quiet day grandmattie, sounds as if you’re proving a lot of valuable practical help to the family. No owls here sadly.
Take care everyone. Hope Wednesday is kind to us all.
Good morning from a damp Bordeaux where we remained moored overnight.
An appealing city to visit but not on the particular shore trip we had chosen where the guide felt compelled to tell us every last detail about who’d invaded when and why! Then she was muddled over the time we should rendezvous at the coach meaning we wasted nearly an hour.
The best part of yesterday was a Q and A session with the Balmoral Company who entertain us on board. Besides undergoing a stringent audition process, they all (along with every crew member) have to undertake training in firefighting and water rescue!
Today we shall sail along the Rivers Garonne and Gironde as we head out to sea to reach Southampton on Friday. I won’t have a signal to post tomorrow. The photos show the Grand Theatre and the rain soaked streets at bedtime!
I hope things improve for Oopsadaisy and Grandmabatty. Happy hump day! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩
Good morning, cloudy at best and dull with rain at worst in s somerset. Not much of a spring this year
I managed a warmish sit-outside yesterday with a small pot of green tea and a china cup and saucer, while counting bumble bees on my 6 big blueberry plants. There were six and all had heavy pollen baskets on their legs. Lovely to see them
A nothing-much day today, just bedroom and en suite to clean. I am expecting parcel force with my spinners stool today, I have to assemble it and will not glue the legs yet as I shall have to saw off 1/2" at a time until I get the correct height. I need to sit and be comfortable, like those downton ladies, while treadling and keeping my hands in a comfortable position, so my hips and back don`t ache
Cycling yesterday and managed that hill easier by not counting cats eyes, just counting pedal strokes per white line. I started with two strokes and ended up doing five. Very satisfying for me to arrive home `glowing`
oops {flowers]
Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 1° and sunny. Grandmattie I'd love to have a nearby owl. Sadly I have a lot of crows and magpies. Oopsadaisy I'm sorry that you are having family troubles. Families can be very difficult.
Yesterday was a non event as I still was quite unwell. I feel more like myself today though. I don't have any taste for my usual coffee and am on my second cup of tea. I'll have a quiet day home recovering I think. Have a good day all
Oh, I heard an owl around 330 this morning. I don’t know what sort, but it was toowit-towooing!
Good morning from Bristol. It is cloudy and pretty chilly.
I had a good day yesterday, doing some grocery shopping and finding 3 Dorothy Dunnett books in a charity shop. I love her books.
I did three washes, dried and sorted for the family. They quite like someone to do that, and the washing up of pans!
I removed the eyelets from another pair of new curtains and replaced them with header tape, adding blackout linings.
Nothing planned for today today. I’ll pop out for the paper and pootle round the village.
Hope everyone has a good day. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩❤️🦩
Good morning Mick and all who follow, from a dry and frosty Oxfordshire.
Another sleepless night due to family problems, might have to get the professionals in. Certainly something needs to be sorted before the whole family up sticks and we all move in together.
Anyway, another day of decluttering and sorting.
Have a good day everyone, let’s hope we have some sunshine, hugs for those who aren't so chipper today.
Good Morning Everyone,
