Good Morning Everyone,
Another bright and dry start here in brackley this morning.
Yesterday , I had a email reference a day trip I booked on only to say it has been cancelled , I will ring them up to see if I can get on another trip which would be the following day or refund my bank account .
Think they must set a figure around 30 plus to make it worthwhile running.
But today quite prior to tomorrow .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning Baubles and Greyduster my gn friends it’s been a long time since hearing from you
It’s going to be a good Sunday here on the east coast of Fife where I’m going out for Sunday lunch with my cousins. I’m so looking forward to going out with them it’s been ages since I’ve been out and about.
Thinking of those who are less fortunate than I am flowers

Good morning all from a bright North Leicestershire.

A very lazy start todayvas we were up at 5 yesterday to welcome Bertie, Persie and Wolfie at 7.30.

We went to the village fete in the afternoon. It was a bit disappointing with too few stalls for the vast school playing fields. I did, however, bump into an old friend that I hadn't seen for ages.

Not much happening today, thankfully.

Greyish and dampish this morning but as a walk to church is my only outdoor commitment it doesn’t much matter. Lovely concert yesterday evening which was very spirit lifting. A date with a book or two I think.

Good morning from a grey and damp NE where it is 10 degrees.
Cousin's baby GD arrived yesterday morning, beautiful and 9lb 1oz. We were sent photo last night as they live in Scotland.
Had a lovely afternoon and evening with DS and GD2, she brings her homework and practises the piano.
SIL will come this afternoon and we will have dinner together.
Have a good day.

No plans today need to pop to local shops forgot the bread yesterday, then I may do the ironing that I didn't do the other day but if a better offer comes along it can stay in the basket.

Roast chicken for dinner.
Best wishes to anyone celebrating and virtual hugs where needed enjoy your Sunday and may you all find some ☀️.

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞Northampton. Plans are a slow morning, boiled egg and toast, then get ready to go to the cinema. I have booked to see the new 'Harold Fry' film. I read the book years ago and cannot remember the story at all!

A bit of shopping to do in town after the film; a condolence card to buy for an elderly lady from our well-being cafe, whose husband (in his 90s) died a week or so ago. I shall be going to the funeral on Wednesday. Then home to lamb steak and new potatoes for dinner.

A perfect sunny day yesterday for our 'friendly' rugby match against Leicester. A sad farewell being said to players who were appearing on home turf for the last time. All topped off with a good win for my team, the Saints, 64-24.

Hopefully a pleasant Sunday to be enjoyed by all.

Good morning all from cloudy Harrogate
You Are busy turning your flat into a home GrandMattie. Have you met any new neighbours yet?
Yesterday I baked but ran out of ingredients, so more baking coming up soon!
I am inviting some neighbours in for a coronation bash next Sunday afternoon so lots of baking to do.
Going to church this morning then got to start sorting summer and winter clothes out, though I’m not yet willing to let go of my winter stuff!
Have the best day possible folks

Morning all

It’s bright and sunny here in S E Essex. I haven’t read your posts yet, will endeavour to do so later.

I shall be baking this morning and sorting out my food cupboards. DD and her boys are coming for dinner (roast chicken) and no doubt devour my bakes.

We had a lovely evening celebrating DD’s birthday, The Imp lived up to his name, so excited to be with his cousins.

Have a peaceful Sunday folks 🙋‍♀️🦩

Good morning from North Yorkshire. Another damp start.
It did improve yesterday so I got some gardening done.
Another quiet day. No church today, apparently it’s not our turn!
I have some new knitting to start and the final two parts of The Diplomat to watch on Netflix.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning from a rather greyish North Connel. After a lovely few days with DGC I am heading home today. All three of us are taking the train down to Glasgow where we’ll meet mum and dad and go for a meal before they drop me off at home en route to visiting DD’s uncle before he returns to Canada on Tuesday. I saw him last week so I can just relax.
They’ll stay overnight in town to do some clothes shopping before coming back up here on Monday.

Yesterday my intrepid DGC (15 and 12), spent the afternoon leaping off rocks into the sea, they are indifferent to the weather and both are very strong swimmers but I was very glad to have them safely back in the house! Maybe it was easier when they required my total supervision!!

Happy birthday to your daughter Ash, it must be hard for you to be so far away.

I love this area so much, I’ll try and attach another picture although I know I’ve done it before.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Good morning everyone from the usual misty dreich Angus coast. At least it's warmer in the house though as I gave in and had the heating on yesterday for a while. The other day it was actually warmer (out of the wind) outside than in.
But enough of that. I'm so sorry about the cancellation of your day trip Mick and I hope you can get another one booked.
I am dashing off now to get ready to drive to Perth to meet DD and DGDs for a brunch and catch-up together. Getting together gets harder as the girls are now spreading their wings, so these occasions are very precious. It won't be the usual pleasant drive in this murk, but so very worth it.
I will read all the posts later but wish you all a happy day - and maybe some sunshine x

Good morning all from Glasgow. Grey skies and damp from heavy overnight rain.

Regardless of whatever the weather may be, I plan to busy myself pottering in the garden and later watch the final episode of Firefly Lane.

Best wishes to all for a good day.

Good morning Mick and everyone from wet Carlisle. It's trying to brighten up, we'll see how long that lasts! We got about an hour of sun late afternoon yesterday. I didn't garden, just popped out to Sainsbury's first thing. They are open as usual next Saturday about which the checkout assistant sounded a bit regretful. I felt she wanted to stay home and watch the coronation. A phone catch up with my sister and brother later.

The last day of April and I have had a rose in flower in the garden for about a week, lots more buds to open. I might pop out and plant something later otherwise a day in the office beckons, there's plenty to sort out, and then the papers to finish.
I hope you can fix another trip Mick, good to get out and about.

Hello and congratulations marriedalongtime! See you again hopefully.

Have a pleasant day all.

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. Lovely afternoon yesterday with DS and 2 GC, DS helped me empty the china cupboard in the kitchen and I now have loads of cups to wash, mostly 1930's so they can't go in the dishwasher.
Quiet day today not even a call to my brother as he has a friend staying.
Taichinan could you wave to my DD as you drive through Perth.
Welcome and happy anniversary marriedalongtime
Enjoy all the Sunday lunches

Auntieflo Sun 30-Apr-23 09:28:46

Good morning Mick, Annie and all. The sun is shining and it looks as though we are in for another beautiful day.
It is also our DD's birthday today Ashcombe, and she and SIL came yesterday for lunch, and a good old catch up. We had morning coffee in the garden and the sun was really quite hot. We were given some extra good news about our DGD and her little family. Prayers have been answered.
I am just sipping my last cup of tea before getting ready for Church. Afterwards we have a small step ladder to collect. As I have been shrinking, I need one to help me reach the top kitchen cupboards now.
To Marydoll sending all best wishes that you are feeling better.
Have a good day one and all.

Good morning Mick and all from a damp northwest coast.
Packing today for journey south tomorrow, more complicated than the usual packing as I need various outfits for the Orient Express and don’t want to take too much.
My cold/hayfever hasn’t developed too much thank goodness.
Disappointing for you Mick, I hate cancellations for the day coach trips I take from time to time.

As always thoughts to all with worries.
