We had an early TIB as DH hasn’t slept well due to a cold which he probably caught on our rail trip from Southampton. He’d planned to go to London today to book his €* ticket for next month but isn’t going there now. His discount entitlement (as a retired railway employee) cannot be applied to an online booking.

Back to Props this morning after a FaceTime review with a financial advisor from Nationwide. That’s at 10.00a.m. so I may catch a few 💤 before then!

Good morning from a grey but dry Bristol. Fortunately, the forecast is for dry weather.

Big day today - moving in at a time yet unknown, but the van arrives late morning.

With DD’s help, I unpacked my fridge freezer only to find that the top hinge was so bashed and displaced that it was impossible to open or close safely or effectively. I’m now in the process of demanding a replacement. A real bummer.

I shall spend today bossing men around and trying to find my way through a mountain of boxes. I hope they are well labelled. DD will come with the girls in the afternoon, as the school are on strike again today.

To start with, all I need is bed/bedding and some stuff to cook and eat with. The rest will follow. I’m spending the night with DD, then after that I’m on my own.

Weather in Malta today looks cloudy and 21°C. I’m just off to babysit my twin grandsons which I do every week day now that DD3 is back at school (she’s a teacher).

Good morning from a bright South Downs.

A very happy birthday mick.

I have been watching a pair of crows, from their early days of romance, chasing each other about and feeding each other titbits, to building a nest high in a bare winter tree, they have been faithfully sitting on the next cawing to each other, now the tree is in full leaf and the nest no longer visible, but they are both out and about now collecting food so I am looking forward to seeing the fledglings before long. Another year of new life.

Son came yesterday evening with news of his latest holiday. Spider monkeys and sea turtles, warm seas and some interesting archeology. I could do with some warm sea I must say.

Today is raking the little Japanese zen garden back to condition as the foxes play fast and loose on it at times.

My deaf dog is barking to go out - and I can’t shout to tell him to wait, so I have to put up with the barking. Must dash!

Morning Mick, morning All. It’s bright and there’s a hope of sunshine.

Yesterday was more sandcastles, with teenagers joining in the outcome was impressive. After very sad goodbyes it seems very quiet here, not tidy for sure, a bit of a sort out needed today.

Good morning from North Yorkshire where I’m still in bed. I may get up soon and go up the allotment for an hour or so whilst it’s quiet then do some ironing. Forecast says dull and cool but still. It’s so often windy these days I much prefer it still even if a bit dull. Happy Birthday to you Mick I hope you spoil yourself today, enjoy. GM I hope all goes well on this most exhausting of days and the Ff gets replaced pronto. Tell them you want it unpacking for free this time due to the inconvenience. Fingers crossed for MD. Zoom exercise class this morning if I can stop coughing long enough to participate. At least we'll all be muted so they won't have to listen to me. School pickup this afternoon as mum is away for a short break & dad has a meeting. We get to stay for tea so no cooking for me today😃.

Charity shop volunteering as it's Tuesday. We have a uniform top and fleece. It's the time of year where I carry the fleece as it's cool in the shop.

Oh dear what a night.... last thing i went and twigged my back really badly (exactly same place, agony to walk) and tho I took a strong painkiller was not enough.

So I came down at 3am to make myself a very milky latte - and dropped the caftiere on the floor, smashing the glass and coffee all over so had to mop up. so more dosing up and a bit more sleep.

Last time I got some help from the physio/trainer but thinking it might be a good idea to just get an x ray to check its not structural.

If it eases a bit will swim not try anything else. I'm having a run of bad luck - CFS, bowel investigations to complete, and 3 weeks of waiting for result of MRI on a very large lump on arm which will have to come off!

We are off to York to see DH's brother. He is still in hospital following a stroke while on holiday in the Scilly Isles.

Got full day of childcare today. Both GCs were over with their parents yesterday for tea in the garden. It was the first sunny afternoon for a week. DGS2 was very tantrum prone yesterday. He’s quite hard work compared to his sister.

Last weeks blood test went no better. Nurse forgot to do one of the tests so it had to be repeated. 3 blood tests for one request. Hmm.

Good morning all, from an overcast but dry Tyneside. One of our pooches visits the Groomer this morning, which she seems to quite like, so is always made welcome. It's another grey day on the Angus coast. Again. If I never see another grey cloud it will be too soon! Actually we did see breaks in it with the occasional patch of blue yesterday, and some sunshine, and the washing dried, so maybe ........
Must get onto the phone to the garage soon to explain the reason for my car sitting on his doorstep two days early. It was booked in for Wednesday afternoon for a new clutch, but died on me on Sunday. And then try to get a taxi to take me to tai chi - no buses up here! It's practice for when I can no longer drive I suppose.
