I’ve just discovered the free items you can get shopping in M&S
I was over the moon! A pack of conference pears, I’m easily pleased! I’ve only just got the app so it was a nice,

I believe free treats are dependent on how regularly shop/spend at M&S. I don't spend a lot but I do shop once or twice every wee. I have had quite a lot of free treats including - a set of 3 candles, reed diffuser, loaf of bread, chocolate and just received a bag of cookies/choc chip shortbread or doughnuts from the in store bakery . The money off vouchers are also very welcome - 2 I have just used £1.50 off a £10 spend on spirits, free Clinique makeup remover (value £21.50) when you buy 2 other products from Clinique

Never had a free gift, I get notified of them occasionally via email but by the time I get to the shop I've forgotten all about them. Did once try looking for a free pastry but there weren't any left.

Apparently I've used all my current Sparks offers. I do not think I have ever seen any.

I don't often shop at M&S since our local branch closed as it means a special trip to the next town - not worth the petrol for a small freebie. I have a sparks card but it rarely gets an outing.

I’ve currently got 20 % off clothes and beauty.
But the things I would like are sold out in my (ginormous) size.
Moan, moan, moan.
There’s no pleasing some folk…

Periodically you get an offer added to your Sparks account (on the app) for a free item. My last one was a bag of doughnuts or cookies (Mr N was very pleased! 😂)

I have the app and often get discounts loaded onto my sparks card. For some reason the self service checkout do not allow the discounts and you need to go to a till to have the sparks no. put in manually. What is that all about? I can't seem to get any freebies and ended up paying for Percy Pig sweets which were supposed to be free. Customer services are no help whatsoever and keep asking for screenshots to delay dealing with the issue. Does anyone else have this problem?

This week I got a free bag of 5 huge choc chip cookies from their in-store bakery. Very nice they were too!

I had a sparks card full of sparkles as I had never used any of my points up.
Then I was told sparks cards were stopped...so now thoroughly confused

I've never had anything either, perhaps because I never get any emails from them and I never thought to look online to see!

Still to collect my loaf.

My offer is to go in a draw to win a tour of a Royal residence.
What a swizz!

My latest freebie was a croissant. I have had a free shop too, just wish ut had been a trolley load and not just a basket worth. Still it was quite a treat.

Aveline Fri 05-May-23 16:04:45

I don't get emails from Sparks but I check the app whenever I'm going shopping there.

I got a pair of free M&S pants, also free loaf of bread. But they don’t last long so you need to keep checking your app incase the voucher expires😢. I prefer the free cup of tea or coffee from Waitrose each shopping visit, saves me boiling the kettle as well.

I do frequent but but very small shops in M&S Food, often just milk and eggs unless I’m late enough for the good reductions. My Sparks app seldom has any offers of interest but this week it’s offering a free white sliced loaf, whoopi-do! I’ll get it for our village food bank.

twiglet77 Fri 05-May-23 20:59:31

Oh, and I forgot the “free shop”! I’ve had one, for about £15 IIRC, but my daughter many miles away has had one for about £45.

Aveline Mon 08-May-23 10:30:43

While I remember. If you scan your Sparks card when in M&S a percentage is paid to the charity of your choice. Since started in 2015 my nominated charity has had £5,141,541 donated to it by M&S. In total £13,372,066 has been donated by Sparks. If nothing else its worth scanning your card to help your charities.

Thanks I didn’t know that Aveline.

PoppyFlower Mon 08-May-23 10:37:20

I need to pick up my free white farmhouse loaf! Have had grapes, cookies, candles, room spray and a pair of Knickers in the past! Love the Sparks card!

I’m heading out for a walk shortly and will go via M&S to collect my free packet of Percy Pigs sweets. My bank holiday excitement knows no bounds! 😃
