Good morning all.
Long full post about what a wonderful day yesterday turned out to be - family, wall to wall sun, all day in the garden, Coronation Chicken, champagne, coronation Colin the Caterpillar cake for tea, etc et etc and the whole blooming lot disappeared!
So I can take a hint and shut up!
Wishing you all a lovely BH Monday .

Good morning from sunny Colchester. It was hot and sunny for our street party yesterday and I got a bit of sunburn on my arms.
A few degrees cooler today but no rain forecast until later. DH and DGS1 have gone fishing today. Colchester has a full week of free organised guided walks (Jane's Walks) and I am going to join one this morning. I'll wear long sleeves and suncream.
Love to all 🦩 x

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. We had a lovely time in Kew yesterday. A picnic in Kew Gardens to celebrate our granddaughter’s seventh birthday. Embarrassingly, I had to be helped up each time I wanted to get up from sitting on the groundsad My knees were not at their best. Today I will be doing a click and collect from Waitrose (a new black cardigan) and lunch. If the rain holds off OH will be playing golf croquet with the U3A. If not, he will buy grass seed for a patch of the back garden. GM I have a very old friend whose children are perfect and can do no wrong, even though one of them is about to embark on their third divorce..: Have a good day everyone .

Good morning all from a slightly overcast North Leicestershire.

Not a lot on the agenda today so we might go for a run in car with a stop for lunch if it isn't too busy.

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where its 11°C.
I am shattered this morning, DH has coughed non stop all night. Strangely, he is well enough to golf, whereas I'm fit for nothing. 😉

Baubles, what a lovely, upbeat post. I was quite envious (in a nice way!) reading your post. I do love Dublin.
GM, I thought all of us had perfect offspring, genius GC and GGC. 😁

Yesterday, I managed to mess up my church admin. I was trying to set up a parish group email account, within my Diocesan email account. I some how managed to include the whole Diocese, (including the Bishop). 😱 blush I got myself into such a fangle and it didn't help, when I realised I had forgotten the time, so dinner was very late!
All sorted now, but a very steep learning curve.

I did manage a fair bit in the garden ( good for my soul) and chatted with some neighbours.
At one point, I was down on my knees at the bottom of the garden, when I realised I couldn"t get back up. DH was watching the football and didn't hear my call for help, so I had to crawl the length of the garden to find something to help pull myself up. Old age is a terrible affliction! 🤭

We are off for a break tomorrow. DH and SIL are going today and coming first thing to collect all the food, as they are going today.
We always like to give them time to themselves and of course the golf takes priority.

Enjoy your day, whatever your plans! Ash, I hope the supermarket is open!

Good morning, it is raining in s somerset and will be raining and dull all day

It has been a glorious happy weekend and the concert rounded it off for me, back to normal now. I met someone at the tea party and now have a new local group to attend two afternoon a month

Gm I hope you don`t get `smothered`, let them see the feisty independent person you are and start as you mean to go on.

My hairdresser is working today so a cut this morning and then a free day for pottering

a good day to everyone

Good morning all from my home town of Dublin.

I cannot tell you how much I’ve enjoyed this last couple of days. I’ve spent time with aunts, uncles and cousins, there’s been lots of reminiscing and we have caught up on all the family news. I attended Mass yesterday morning in what was my family’s parish church, my parents and two aunts were married there. It is the Dublin University Church, I’ve attached a photo, the front is squished between two buildings so it’s kind of hidden away.

Afterwards we spent some time exploring the old haunts before meeting more cousins.

DD and I have today to ourselves and haven’t quite decided what we will do, but will enjoy our time together.

Wishing you all the best day possible.

Good morning from an overcast Bristol. We are promised wall-to-wall rain.
Glad you both had a reasonable night, Ash.
Yesterday panned out as I expected; needing courage and mixing. At the tea, I only spoke to women with perfect offspring, genius GC and GGC. The warden only spoke to me to reproach me for not being in when she called “several times”.
Today, I’m expecting the family to lunch; soup and baguettes. The DGDs are incredibly fussy eaters. I refuse to make separate meals for them.
We are supposed to go to bluebell woods afterwards, but… we’ll see; I might opt out as I get terribly cold when wet.
Have a great bank holiday. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩❤️

Good morning Mick, a dry start here too, in Wiltshire.
DD’s going home today, it’s been a busy weekend with one thing and another!
Looking forward to getting the house straightened out and doing some watercolour painting.
Enjoy your week x

Good morning from a cloudy but dry part of La Sarthe.

After a showery day yesterday, it brightened up in the evening so we enjoyed some wine on the terrace. Both of us are still coughing but have benefited from a good night's sleep. Today is a Bank Holiday here to commemorate VE Day. We hope to manage a visit to our local supermarket; since arriving we’ve lived on whatever the freezer afforded.

Happy Bank Holiday, wherever you are! 🦩🥰😎💐🦩
