Good morning, s somerset might be sunny and dry today, outside exercise this morning

I realised today that I am often doing the same cycle route, hills, countryside and not too much on the faster roads. Thatched cottages, mill stream, cow-scent. Then I thought so what, it is safe, has a gradient that makes me work, is very pretty and takes one hour.

I put down some beetroot seeds yesterday plus more carrot seed and sowed courgettes into pots. I am seriously thinking about putting raspberries into my raised beds instead this autumn. It is hard to let go from growing veg after being pretty well self-sufficient for so long

A good day to everyone

Good morning from a hospital bed in Cornwall from which I can't see the weather! I'm here till I can get an angiogram and treatment which may be a two week wait but my consultant doesn't want me to go home till then. The food is amazing, the staff great fun and yesterday my own doctor rang to see how I was. So I'm pretty much delighted!

Good morning from a fine but chilly start to the day here in La Sarthe.

I hope you enjoy the coffee date, grandMattie. Thank you for the hugs - much needed here where we are both coughing for France, England and the rest of Europe! At least neither can blame the other one for lack of sleep!

The rain in Yorkshire sounds dramatic, Abitbarmy! You deserve those fish and chips! In contrast, Whitewavemark2 has whole days in her garden. Lovely!

Happy weekend, whatever betides! 😀🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning from a dry but cloudy Black Country.

Arrived home from The Algarve late yesterday afternoon. Such a lovely sunny and relaxed holiday. Sitting having breakfast outside at 8am yesterday! Home to a cloudy and slightly chilly UK.

Sorting out washing etc today, and hopefully gym this afternoon.

Wishing you all a lovely day

Good morning all from a washed out North Yorkshire. Lots of flash floods yesterday and even hailstones. Our road turned into a river. Luckily most properties are set back and raised a bit from the road but it was a deluge. Some of my little seedlings have been fatally damaged. I was out of the house most of the day as it was day two of our new flooring being laid. Sounds like what you’re having done Cornergran. Was supposed to be finished today but for several reasons won’t be unitll Monday now so no cooker or washing machine in place still. Thank goodness for the air fryer. It will be fish and chips from Scarborough this evening though. Wishing everyone the best day possible.

Good morning from the South Downs. Looks dull out there. Zero rain yesterday again.

Spent the day in the garden yesterday and finished my bees and butterflies bed all weeded, fed and tied back. Today I will cut back the Montana and start on the little woodland bed, which is a bit too much of a jungle! Have a log pile for the insects which gradually over the years rots down so I add to it. The idea was to attract beetles particularly stage beetles, but I’ve never seen one so don’t know if it works or not.

Dental checkup at noon, which is inconvenient - but must be done.

Rack of lamb for dinner

Enjoy today one and all

Good morning from Bristol. It is overcast, promises to be dry.
My towels dried in just over two hours in the sun, yesterday.
Today, I’ve been invited to coffee by my upstairs neighbour. Then, DD is coming over to lunch.
And, finally, finally, I hope the fridge freezer saga will be over. There were two aborted collections of the damaged one on Saturday and Wednesday… 🤞🤞🤞
I hope gbatty, Ash, Marydoll and everyone else needing hugs get them.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩❤️
