Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. 14°and sunny. Can't complain..

My French Helpers are a great help but it means I have to supervise the jobs which is exhausting grin
I have ordered a skip to get rid of some of the rubbish and rubble they have unearthed. Meanwhile she is painting my bathroom. He is gardening.
I am pretending to be busy.

The historical society have just collected a load of archives which DH had amassed over the years. There are more ofcourse.

Blossoming such great news. I'm happy for you.

Mizuna I hope the medics get to the bottom of your mystery illness and let you home soon

Have a lovely day all

Just managed to read todays posts.
Dgd dropped of at 8am for breakfast and walk to school, Sainsbury’s delivery at 9.30. All sorted and put away. One load of washing out another in machine.
No plans for rest of the day.
Out all day tomorrow for mani/pedi, facial and massage 😀
Wish we had plans but I’m afraid the effects of lockdowns are lingering. Can’t seem to summon up the energy to go far. Not happy driving out of local area. Did manage a trip to Scotland and my sister wants us to go to London but I keep finding excuses.
Blossoming, it’s the best feeling ever, isn’t it.
Have as good a day as possible everyone.

Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire.

Yesterday I had a telephone appointment with my cancer surgeon. It’s 5 years since my surgery and all tests and scans are clear. I’m cancer free and he has discharged me. The whole team has been amazing and this is the best outcome.

Have a good day all 🌻

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle. It was yesterday but when I went out to town, I found there was quite a stiff chilly breeze and was glad I'd taken a jacket.
I went to a coffee morning and chatted for an hour with some new, hopefully, pals. I found one had come originally from a town I'd once lived in as a teen.

Today, I must get down to some cleaning as I have a visitor at the weekend but I will also find it impossible to stay out of the garden in such pleasant weather.

You were with an opera company holly? how interesting...I love opera but it's an effort to go and see/hear it from here.

Do have a good day everyone.

GrannySomerset Tue 16-May-23 08:44:49

Glorious morning so need to get some laundry out to take advantage of it. Supermarket run too, and various domestic tasks will fill my time but nothing exciting. Feel lucky that life is a bit humdrum rather than full of medical appointments and worries, and hoping things go smoothly for all those struggling.

Good morning Mick and all from a brightening northwest coast.
It appears the Orient Express have my hat (Powder) and will send it on to me. V.pleased to recover both DDs jacket and my hat.
I have chosen my songs for today for the music club and will have a little run through beforehand. Will make a bit more effort dress wise as have been slopping around for a couple of days. Get there early for set up.
I do miss being in opera companies and my colleagues, but leading roles are not for me now, I’m slightly bored by the repertoire and certainly don’t miss the politics.
New heel pain to add to my ailments 🙄

Hope all goes well Mick, thoughts to Mizuna and BlueSapphire💐 and anyone with troubles.

Good morning from a sunny bright Suffolk,at long last!

Our gardener came yesterday and mowed our huge amount of grass which is really a meadow. He is always so careful to mow around all the clumps of cowslips and bluebells so it looks tidy but still natural. I intend to plant the lupins and cosmos I bought at the country market on Saturday if I can find enough space in the borders and 1 small bed.

Otherwise a day in the summerhouse with doors open is on the cards and my William Boyd book of short stories. Hope there is some sunshine in everyone’s day.

Marydoll Tue 16-May-23 08:31:38

Baggs enjoy your trip and please say Hello from me!

I have manged to get throught to the surgery, I was only fourteenth in the queue at 8am and a GP will call to discuss my ailments. Hurrah!
DH is delighted, because he has been nagging insisting for weeks, but I don't want to bother anyone!

ShazzaKanazza Tue 16-May-23 08:26:41

Good Morning Mick and everyone from a lovely Hull morning. I’m going to go out for a good walk this morning in the sunshine.

I’ve been awake since silly o’clock so quite tired I struggled to sleep. GS had a difficult day at school yesterday which upset us all so it’s playing on my mind.
We have a business meeting and grocery shopping later so may not fit a nap in.
My son in China is clear of covid which only took a couple of days to be clear this time. They are on high alert for baby’s arrival any time now.

Wishing everyone a lovely day but thoughts to those with stress and worry blighting their lives🌻🌻

PS Oops, I remember cold and frosty mornings in May when we lived just north of Oxford. It always surprised me that we got more spring frosts there than in Edinburgh.

Good morning my gn friends from the east coast of Fife where it looks to be another promising day out there beyond my black out blind.

I’ve got myself a handyman at long last,

Facebook certainly has its advantages

I’m looking to plant something interesting in my old bathtub which is sitting out in the garden.

Have a good day today enjoy the sunshine should it dare to come out grin

Taichinan Tue 16-May-23 08:24:52

Good morning Mick and everyone who follows. It's a sunny 9° on the Angus coast and a small wash is waiting to be hung out before I go to tai chi.
Mizuna that's a long time to be in hospital - I hope you're better soon and able to get back to sit in your garden. Mick safe travels for your blood test today. The medics are certainly keeping you busy!
Sorry for all the coughs. I thought the other day that I was going to join the party - cough and sniffle - but it's gone again. For many years I have taken a daily echinacea tablet to boost my immune system, and that certainly works for me - that, and a bit of touch wood!
Love your sense of humour about the Flymo not flying at the mo, greyduster - it's nice to start the day with a chuckle!
I slept through my alarm this morning (not having gone to sleep until nearly 4am.) In order to hear it I have to have it under my pillow but with all the tossing and turning last night it had slipped down under my shoulder which is obviously too far from my ear! So a bit of a dash round now. I'm sure I feel better for that extra half hour's sleep. I shall top up a bit later as I have to go down to Dundee for Dancing GD's End of Year Show this evening, which I am looking forward to.
Anyway, I must go and hang out the washing and then get this show on the road. Have a good day all and may all your troubles be small ones x

Morning all from the Boggy Brae. There was some rain overnight so I'm glad MrB mowed a long stretch in the upper garden that he calls Aintree. I'm mulling whether to leave the bit that he calls the Lake District to go wild this year while my wrist mends itself. It has wild angelica and northern marsh orchids as well as things I'm less keen to encourage. Ponder, ponder about the pond triangle...

After my second breakfast I'm off to meet the Soops in Balloch. Not up to driving yet so I'll get a bus and two trains. It's good not to be terrified of public transport any more as I was during the pandemic.

Wishing good days to all.

BlueSapphire Tue 16-May-23 08:23:23

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton. Bodes well for our health walk this afternoon. Today would have been my dear DH's 80th birthday.

Must hoover round upstairs this morning, Lots of fluff around from the cats! They must be moulting.

Good yoga class yesterday; then busied myself at home mopping all the hard floors - kitchen and bathrooms. After lunch weeded more borders, was dismayed to see that the borders I had cleared a couple of weeks ago have a new crop of healthy weeds! Must ring the fence man, as parts of my fencing need replacing.

Had a good day everyone. Will be raising a glass to DH later.

harrigran Tue 16-May-23 08:17:25

Good morning from a sunny but windy NE, the heating is on so it must have been a cold night.
Had some time in the garden, removed last year's geraniums from the pots on the patio.
I thought I would have an hour with my novel but fell asleep, I get so tired these days.
SIL collected my sister from the airport, my other sister had done her shopping and turned on the fridge so she is all set for her six weeks here.
Thrilled to see photographs of GD on her school FB page, she is going to be playing Mufasa in the school production of the Lion King 🦁
Another quiet day with little jobs to do. I have a new battery operated brush from Lakeland so will try it out on the hob extractor, unbelievable how tacky it gets considering how little I fry.
Hope poorly People improve soon.

Wyllow3 Tue 16-May-23 08:13:09

Morning all from a sunny S Yorks, where its warm enough to have the french windows open while I have my morning latte.

Yesterday I twigged my back again so badly I couldn't walk - had meds with me out and about - but I have a physio have known for years, also she's a yoga teacher so can advise - at 10am much looked forward to. She's retired but does a few patients from home so charges are not through the roof.

Always interesting to read of everyone's days. Greyduster good you'll have a garden, other gardens coming along, and sorry you are still stuck in hospital Mizuna.

Bests for outings and poorlies.

Good morning from a lovely sunny day in Essex by the sea.
We are off to Bluewater this morning, I'm hoping the M25 and the Dartford Crossing are queue free.
I've told DH that we are eating out today, not always easy as he is garlic intolerant and it can be hard to find a meal that doesn't include garlic. He gets a bit fed up with fish and chips !!!!
I hope that all appointments go well, that all coughs start to abate and that you all have a good day xxx

ginny Tue 16-May-23 08:11:24

Good morning from a sunny N. Bucks.
DGS3 will be here soon and then we shall walk down to town and meet DD3 for a coffee.
This afternoon we will go to Costco for a few things we know are cheaper there.
Wishing all a pleasant day.
