NYDJ are the best, expensive but worth every penny.
I have a pair 15 years old and still going strong.

I'll second that - quality through and through.

hamster58, I think it's got a lot to do with all the stretchiness of fabrics now available. I see all shapes and sizes wearing them - and really wish they wouldn't. They really can't have a clue of how awful they look. Jeans are for the tall and slim.

How awful they look in your opinion. Other opinions are available. Why should we dress to please others, especially others unknown to us. I dress to please myself, I don’t give a jot what some randomer thinks.

To the OP, I’ve just had a delivery of M&S jeans. I wasn’t entirely sure what to order, so got a mix of what I prefer, which are straight or slim (I don’t like skinnies) and high/mid rise, and tried them all on. I’m keeping two of the pairs. I’ve just discovered the Evri returns service which make it so easy, as well. smile

Don’t be silly.
Clothes are for whoever wants to wear them

There are so many different cuts available now, which is a good thing. Go into a shop that has a large variety of styles, hopefully when it is not busy, and see if you can get an attendant to assist.
If you tell them the fit you are after, they know the styles and can give you several to try on.

Wear slip on shoes and a plain top, and be prepared to take a while for the try on session.

I'm so glad there are many choices now! I hate clothes clinging to me and can't stand leggings but don't like jeans flapping about either. I can now get the perfect fit in M&S and Next now though in M&S have gone from regular length to short/petite and I haven't shrunk.

I think most brands have different several cuts these days ... even high street street ones.

I hope this doesn’t sound rude-that’s not my intention-but I am constantly baffled when I see so many differently shaped people wearing jeans that fit their unique shapes. I am not especially unusually shaped but struggle to find any that fit well in all areas. However I see people for example with very large bottoms but small ankles or those with super skinny legs and the jeans look like they’re custom made. Is anyone else baffled by these extreme shaped jeans but no idea where or how the wearer finds them??….
