NaughtyNeine thank you for thinking of my son. He’s finished treatment now and is on a well-earned family holiday in Hawaii. He has tests at the end of the month to see if the treatment has worked. I think it’ll be a nervewracking time, awaiting results.
Granmarie I met a friend who had a new knee a few weeks ago. She says she wished she’d had it done years ago!
Annsixty Greatgrandma! That’s amazing! Congratulations to you all. The holiday cottage sounds remote but maybe that’s what you need. Time with your dd and to do just what you want, read or sleep or whatever.
Soop, you’re being incredibly stoical, managing to do all that whilst feeling so unwell mentally.
I hope you have a good response to the meds. I hope MrS heals well after his surgery, too. Regarding jigsaws, my 27yo and her boyfriend have become puzzle addicts! Honestly, sometimes I think she’s 72 not 27. 😂
Are you going to be doing role play for students, Brook? My dd was very grateful for them when she was doing her med training. She said some of them were just amazing! Glad you got your swimsuits back.
Gah to the car, Foxy. 😫 These things happen, I suppose.
Just enjoy your GS’s company - I’m sure he enjoys yours.
Oh, and I think I’ve guessed your new disguise!
Four years is a long time for braces, Jaxjacky Imogen will have to adjust to not having them!
Glad you’re having some downtime Corner, it sounds a big week for you all next week.
Hi, Lin!
I had a lovely day on Thursday, going back to where we moved from last year and meeting up with a group of friends. I had a such a good time. Yesterday was looking after baby GS day. He was full of the joys of spring, his mum said he’d been giggling and chortling away since he’d woken up at 6am! New words are coming thick and fast now. A reply to ‘What doing, Nanna?’ is now followed by ‘Why?’ 😂 He’s just about learnt how to turn on the garden tap so will get a surprise when he sprays himself with cold water from the hose pipe. We took him home in the evening and stayed for our meal with them, then I bathed him before bedtime. It’s these small things that have made the upheaval of moving worthwhile. We’ll be going out with them again tomorrow, soft play and then back here for dinner. Granmarie our GD is very gregarious! Today she’s invited herself onto an outing with one of her daddy’s relatives, whom she only met last night! She’s such a social being.
I think we’ll visit a small garden centre today that sells locally grown plants as opposed to hothoused ones that don’t survive a Scottish climate and then shop for tomorrow’s meal. Burgers for us tonight, yum!
TOYA.

Welcome to you lovely lot. Enjoy the buffet and open the chilled Champagne. There are limitless treats for everyone.
Thank you for being truly good, supportive friends.
[sunshine} and much more besides.
Just to say how rural we are, the lady owner of the property who lives at the farm has just been to deliver fresh baked scones, jam and cream.
She has two young children aged 4 and 18 months, I tried to talk to them but they only speak Welsh, when they go to school they start to learn English when they are 6.
The property was built as a fishing lodge and we have a private stretch of river at the back of the place.
It really is idyllic but I’m not sure it is my ideal.
Suedonim my fingers are so firmly crossed for your S and his results.
You will be on tenterhooks until you know.
Very best wishes winging his and your way.
Good afternoon Kitcheners.Trying to catch up as usual.
Thinking of you Soop and hope the meds work well for you.My DS has been on antidepressants for the last 9 months they have worked well and he is now reducing the dose, hoping the same for you.🌹
Congratulations annsixty relax and enjoy your holiday.
Blossoming I sympathise with you having psoriasis,I suffer with it and have been breaking out in hives as well for the last few months.Stress related of course!
Corner All fingers and toes crossed for Mr C’s surgery to go ahead, try and relax if you can.
House move is still going very slowly our solicitor is waiting for details for freehold shares and such.Seems a very slow process.
The main thing is we don’t want to lose our buyers so it’s still so very stressful. It would be lovely to sleep through the night again.
Take care everyone thoughts always with Urms and family.
SueD, I'm hoping and praying for the best possible outcome for your DS.💕🙏
Enjoy your lovely times with your grandchildren, they grow up so quickly.
What a lovely welcome from your lady owner, Annsixty. Put your feet up with your cream tea and a good movie.💙
DH and I are swithering about going to see the new Mission Impossible...I can take it or leave it, but we still have C*******s gift vouchers for the cinema, it's ages since we've been.
Wishing Soop and all kitcheners a relaxing weekend. TOYA.
Good afternoon to all our special Kitcheners.
SueD My very wishes winging their way to your dear son.
Congratulations to annsixty. Becoming a great grandma is a highlight in one's life. We have four at the moment.
I am challenging myself to do a major-ish household job chore every day. Today...the kitchen cupboards, fridge etc have had a blitz. I'm perspiring. Yet, I feel that the challenge, when executed, is beneficial. Well, I am hoping so.
I've had two upsetting episodes with the stoma bag recently. On both occasions, we had friends in for coffee. The realisation that a leak has developed is beyond embarrassing. Mr S realised what had happened. He very kindly excused us so that we could deal with the "fall-out".
Hello 👋 YiaYia, crossed posts! I hope this stressful time soon passes for you and MrY. We take a good night's sleep for granted until it eludes us. I use Bach Rescue Remedy night time spray at bedtime, then to help me get back to sleep if I wake during the night. 😴 3 for 2 in Boots 👍
A warm welcome to Lins872
I have missed out on mountains of happenings. I hope that, when the meds kick in, I shall feel more like my old chatty self. Right now...it's a struggle to concentrate and bring something cheery to our kitchen. You lovely lot deserve better.
Well done, Soop, on your daily achievements, they will bring you a nice sense of satisfaction. I'm sorry to hear how upset you were by the stoma bag episodes. Maybe a call to the specialist nurse would bring helpful advice. MrSoop is a star. 🌟
Lovely to hear from you soop, but just like grannmarie says I was sorry to hear about the stoma bag episodes. Mr Soop is indeed a star. Take it easy and if you can I’d sit and look at the beautiful views from your window.
It’s been a really nice day here in Inverness, warmish sunshine and just a gentle breeze. The first decent day we’ve had for ages and I got loads done in the garden so I’m happy. We even enjoyed a cornetto whilst sat outside on the patio earlier, and we had the umbrella up for shade not rain!
What a lovely welcome from the owner ann, I hope you both enjoy the scones, jam and cream and can relax and rest during your time away.
About the role play Sue I think that’s the general idea, I’ll be given a script to learn that outlines my ‘condition’ and then the student doctors will question me etc. ! They’ll be observed and marked on various things, all I need to do is remember my lines. Thanks for the update on your DS, so pleased to hear he’s enjoying a holiday and hoping the news at the end of the month is really good.
Sounds like it’s such a long process Yia but you’ll get there eventually- you’ve been so patient and resilient so far so I’m sure you can do it
Sending corner 💐 and keeping everything crossed that Mr Cs surgery goes ahead as planned
Suedonim good to hear your son is having a well deserved holiday.
Slow down soop, you’re making me feel guilty.
Very wearing Yia here’s hoping it’s completed soon.
It’s rained and rained here, windy, chilly, not nice at all, so nothing done outside. No, I didn’t have a deep clean indoors! I read, watched some catch-up TV and ordered next weeks shopping.
A quiet evening, enjoy yours.
Sounds like the weathers gone topsy turvy Jax , hope you enjoy your quiet evening in, is Mr J home tomorrow?
Yes he is brook, flight due in about 18:30, Southampton airport from Belfast.
Safe journey to MrJ, Jax, hope he’s had a lovely time away and bet you’ll be pleased to have him safely home ❤️
Thank you all so much for the thoughts for my son. It’s much appreciated. ❤️
Soop, that must have been so upsetting.
I’m sure anyone would understand though, and you’ve got that gem called MrSoop to support you.
We’ll all have everything crossed Suedonim it’s been a long, scary and upsetting journey for both him and his family.
Hello all. A quick visit to the kitchen. I have had a food themed day. OH, daughter and I had a delicious lunch at one of our favourite restaurants. So much food. All we managed for dinner was scrambled eggs and bacon on toast. My commiserations and thoughts are with all of you who are suffering.

That should have been a PM. I’ve asked GNHQ to delete it.
Your sons holiday sounds just right sued. Yes waiting for results will be a tense time, wishing him and you all the best possible outcome.
Don’t overdo it soop. A tortoise approach to building mood has much to recommend it. An achievement every day really helps as long as the exhaustion isn’t greater than the good feeling. If you can a gentle walk is beneficial, just go gently.
Oh ann I’d love to be somewhere like your cottage and hope you can relax there. It’s different anyway, sometimes we find we enjoy the things we least expect to. Hope the case for you.
We’ve been rained in today. It’s not stopped. . A combination of wind and the weight from rain has caused a main stem on one of our climbing roses to snap. I rescued the roses which are now in a vase and hope the rest of the rose will hang on. I also discovered our beautiful dahlia had been a slug and snail banquet, a few blooms remain on what look like sticks. Oh heck. It’s potted and placed on concrete with sharp gravel filling the top of the pot. A safe haven we thought. Determined creatures for sure.
Thank you all for your good wishes. We both appreciate them.
Goodnight everyone. Sleep well.
Good morning all from a brightening North Wales after a very wet night, that being an understatement.
Cornergran Thankyou, I am amazed how you are keeping going at the moment.
Your thoughts for others are really appreciated and I am sure that you and your H are very much in our thoughts this week.
I pray that phone doesn’t ring…
I shall put some photos on of our setting later if I can.
Have the best day you can everyone.
This is Chastleton House, where I went with my daughter on Friday… and me!
Ladyleftfieldlover lovely photos and I love your dress! Annsixty enjoy your holiday. Cornergran I'm another who is impressed by your sanguine attitude. I really hope things work out for Mr C this coming week.
A quiet day for me today.
That dress is great ladylfl. Serious envy here.
I’m not sure about sanguine grandmab and ann. More realistic I think. We’ve worked through all sorts of emotions. Mr C is remarkably accepting of whatever might come, I’d do him no favours by not at least trying to sound as if I’m the same
. My main concern now is that neither of us catch any bugs this week. Hibernation it is.
That house looks quite daunting with the brooding sky llfl not what we expect July to look like.
I think we all cope in our own way corner our outer persona may cover the lurching knots inside, we’re all with you for next week 🤞.
I think MrJ did a fair bit of catching up last night/this morning with his family and a few 🍺, he plans to sleep lots this morning 🙂.
Enjoy your day
