So sorry to hear you’re not feeling well grandmabatty, you do such a lot, time to rest a bit now with some tlc for yourself.
I can only echo what others have said soop and try antihistamine for the itching, is it the midge bites or something else?
And SueD hope you managed to sleep ok with the boot on and it helps with the pain too
Lovely woodpeckers Dusty thank you for the pictures
Hope it’s warmed up a bit where you are Charley and you’re not feeling too cold. It’s another gorgeous sunny day here, I was at the gym this morning and then a quick trip to Tesco. Welcome to you lovely lot. Enjoy the buffet and open the chilled Champagne. There are limitless treats for everyone.
Thank you for being truly good, supportive friends.
[sunshine} and much more besides.
Hello all, what a beautiful day. The cleaner came this morning. The gardener was supposed to come after lunch but is now coming on Friday. OH has been doing some pruning. I will be setting off for the WI committee meeting shortly. OH will cook curry for dinner when I get back. I am looking forward to tomorrow. I am meeting younger son and going to the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition Buyer’s Day. I bought a little print last year but apparently I’m entitled to go this year for free and take a guest. I’ve booked lunch at one of our favourite restaurants so all should be good.
I do hope the Urms are having the best day possible.
An update for all you kind grans about BTDD. She has seen her consultant and results of last MRI show the treatment she is having is doing its job and she does not need further surgery so far. This must be pleasing for the consultant as well, I feel. DD also feels well and, best of all, she is coming up for a visit later this month, by train. She and family climbed another (literal) mountain recently too.
That’s lovely news Baggs, so happy for you and your family x
Baggs I'm delighted to hear your news.
That’s so good to hear baggs, thanks for letting us know x
Smashing news Baggs.
Lovely pictures dusty two woodpeckers, quite a sight.
Sorry you’re feeling rough grandmabatty a restful few days are in order.
It’s been blue sky and sun all day, I hope we get the forecasted storms this weekend, the garden needs it.
Farm shop today, amongst the shopping is a lovely cauliflower and local strawberries which I’ve nearly finished!
soop I spray up with Jungle Formula to prevent being bitten and if one sneaks in, Anti Bite (it’s like a pen) to stop itching, this smells of ammonia briefly and works.
Oh SueDomin how lovely.
I so pleased to hear your news Baggs.
Lovely news Baggs.
I think about your DD a lot living near Christie and hearing about the work there.
I hope so much she continues to do well .
To others with illness and caring for loving ones I send my very best wishes and loving thoughts.
Good news Baggs! And good luck to brooks DH for tomorrow. I’m waiting for a big win on the Premium bonds to get my knee done - my only hope I think!

Hope all goes well for your husband today brook. He’ll soon be home again. I’m sorry you’re not doing so well with yours nannyt. Knee pain is so debilitating.
How are you today grandmab? You sound proper poorly. Disappearing posts are a major irritation sued, beautiful poppy, hope you’re more comfortable. Sorry you’ve been cold charley, you won’t want to know it’s been very pleasant here.
Is the itching better soop? I find a double benefit from an alleged non drowsy anti histamine tablet. It stops the itching snd makes me sleep. Sounds a good day ahead ladylfl. Enjoy.
Had an interesting day out yesterday courtesy of yet more of Mr C’s birthday vouchers. A primarily volunteer staffed steam railway. Just a short track, fifteen minutes each way, but so much else to see with enthusiastic and cheerful volunteers to offer explanations. I now understand how the original manual signals worked and how messages were passed between signal boxes. The cafe did an excellent cuppa and a tasty breakfast bap too
. We stopped at not one but two garden centres on the way home. Cake may have been eaten
.
Back to earth today, tackling the very grubby outside of the conservatory. It’s getting very warm here in the afternoons, hope to finish before we get too hot. It’s very dry. On plant watering detail for our neighbours as well as ourselves the evenings are filled with watering cans.
Take care everyone.
Best wishes to Brook’s husband who will be on his way now.
Many of us have had the same op and can attest to its benefits.
Wishing MrBrook all the very best for today's surgery.

Away to rearrange the seating. We could sit outside. If I mention the word, midges you will understand why we'll opt to stay inside.
Enjoy your evening.

Great news Baggs - now look forward to a happy visit. x
Hi to all kitchen pals, so pleased to hear you’re improving now hulahoop, take care
I’ve been to see DH who’s fine and doing well. He’ll be staying in until tomorrow as when the physio tried to get him up this afternoon he came over all dizzy so they put him back to bed. His blood pressure was a bit too low so he couldn’t complete all the physio exercises he needed to do before being discharged. Hopefully all will be fine tomorrow
Enjoy your visitors Soop
I’ve made myself a quick chicken salad and I’ve got a small bar of chocolate as a treat after a long day!
Take care all and enjoy the evening x
Well the chocolate bar isn’t that small if I’m being really honest ….
