Should we pay kids to go to school?
What were your dream names for your kids when you were growing up?
Good Morning Everyone,
Its bright but cloudy here in brackley this morning.
Now to explain my absence yesterday, I was in pain with right leg and hip area ,anyway pulled the cord and eventually a ambulance turned up , they did the normal diagnose but found a slight heart matter , so took me to the Horton A & E as a precaution .
I also advised the paramedics that I was due a iron infusion at Bicester community Hospital , anyway arrived A & E t Banbury very quiet , they did a blood test and and on the result gave me some insulin , I was discharged from there and they provided transport to take me to Bicester for the Iron Infusion , once I had that done did usual and caught the bus home.
Today, I plan to go to Bicester as usual ,and get back into a normal routine .
Take Care,
Mick

Sorry to hear of your medical issues but glad you are well enough to get back into your usual routine.
Goodness! You need to be fit to be unwell Auntieflo. I hope all your tests bring good results
Good morning Mick,Annie and all. Good to see you seem to be OK now Mick, just take care and don't overdo things.
What a beautiful baby Marydoll, enjoy all the cuddles, and spoiling her with new outfits.
I had a day of medical appointments yesterday.
Blood test, Vit B12 injection, ECG and CT scan. Worn out!
Today I have had a telephone call from the oncologist, then later I have to pick up my Chemo tablets, after a huge mix up last time. Later I have to see the Dr. about my ECG result 🤞
My lovely cleaner, due this morning, is not well, so we have done the minimum between us, and now need a coffee to recover.
Hoping that MrUrms is feeling OK after his infusion.
Sending best wishes to all who are feeling under the weather.
Have a good day one and all.
Aaaaw. She's so gorgeous Marydoll!
EkwaN, I was n Prima on Monday and got some really nice plain white T-shirts. Give them a try?
Good morning all from cloudy Lancashire. There’s a chill wind, quite a change from the lovely days we’ve been having. There’s a drama going on outside, 2 police cars parked next to the bridge control building and about a dozen policemen in a huddle outside. No idea what’s been happening, I will have to ask the bridge control guys later.
Wishing you all a good day, safe journey to all travelling and hope any poorlies are soon on the mend. 🌻
Good morning from cloudy Harrogate,
Quite chilly just now, but hopefully will warm up this pm.
Mick what a shock, but you got sorted by our struggling NHS - just take care!
Urms hope your DH is feeling better. What a little beauty Marydoll. We shall be in Prestwick next month. Taking my DSis with we’ll have a nostalgic trip through time. It where we were brought up!
Not sure what today will bring, yesterday DH was just not well so had to forego a trip to Lidl. He feels better today so will find out soon.
Have the best day possible folks
Good morning Mick and everyone from grey, cool and windy Carlisle. Such a change from yesterday when I and others were strolling about town in warm sun.
You had an unexpected day out yesterday, Mick and not one you would have chosen! I hope you are better today, take care.
I accomplished various errands yesterday although I'd forgotten my list even after I'd carefully laid it out on my breakfast table. I went into M&S in search of elusive plain white t-shirts. M&S t-shirts are so thin now, you'd need sunscreen on beneath them. I did find a thicker one and then, on going to pay, I found they'd just gone self serve too, as had B&Q last week. It would have been quicker for the staff to serve us as everyone in front was having problems.
Today, ironing beckons and a host of other jobs, where to start?!
That is one beautiful, healthy looking baby, Marydoll.
Best wishes to all the poorly and especially to MrUrms who I hope isn't feeling too bad after his treatment.
A later good morning from me in a damp Northampton; I slept in a bit this morning. I was so cold in bed last night I had to get up and find a pair of socks!
Had a lovely coffee morning yesterday with neighbours past and present, with delicious home made lemon cake and shortbread. You can be sure that we put the world to rights!
A morning of pottering then Book Club after lunch, where we shall be discussing 'The Island of Missing Trees' . And eating more cake!
Just received the list of excursions for my Iceland cruise, so will enjoy perusing that and choosing exciting trips.
Glad things turned out ok in the end for you, Mick; probably take it easy for a while.
What a beautiful baby, Marydoll !
Wishing all a pleasant day.
Good morning from an overcast W Kent. Chat to DD in Scotland yesterday, she is basking in 23 degrees, we joked that she will be a wine region soon. DF I usually meet is on half term duties so a quite pottering sort of day for me.
Goodness Mick what a day, I am glad you received prompt treatment.
Beautiful baby Marydoll love the little romper suit.
Best wishes to all.
Glad to see Mick is back with us and to enjoy the picture of Babydoll - a better start to the day than yesterday.
I have a visitation from two great nieces and toddler great great niece so must sort out lunch and ensure the house is relatively safe for an active and inquisitive child. Poached salmon salad and strawberries are on the menu and I have a reserve offering for the little one just in case.
Good morning everyone.
I did a long post earlier but it seems to have vanished.
Good to see Mick back.
Have a lovely day xx
Good morning All. My goodness*Mick*, that was an exciting day - though maybe not the right sort of excitement! I'm glad all went well though and all's well now.
It's a grey cool day here on the Angus coast, the sort of grey that you know isn't going to lift. But never mind, yesterday was absolutely glorious. The cool breeze was still there but wasn't 'swirling' and the patio was sheltered, as was the bench down beside the pond. On days like that I feel so blessed, and content with my lot.
Grammaretto I was sad to read yesterday that your DMiL had passed away. You will miss her
.
also to gingster and Oops as your daughters continue to struggle.
And of course Urms and her DH are always thought about.
Mizuna I hope you didn't overdo things yesterday and continue to recover from your op.
I have nothing planned for today - except to go and get another layer of clothes on as I'm feeling decidedly chilly already!
I hope everybody has a lovely day (I haven't read any posts yet except Mick's) and the sun shines wherever you are x
Good morning from a damp West York's,it's 8degrees at the moment , a visit to bank this morning may have lunch out.Hope Mr Urms is ok . Best wishes to all poorlies.
Good morning all it’s going to be another warm day here on the east coast of Fife it was so busy here yesterday in my humble abode I’m going to have a bit of peace and quiet today my dear sister is going out and I’ll have the house all to myself. I had to put my Dyson fan on through the night it was very warm then I mislaid the tiny remote to switch it off thankfully I found it again trying to drop off for a short while.
I.just love my Dyson fan oh and that’s such a beautiful baby Marydoll have a sniff of her head from me 😁
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.
A chilly start for the last day of May.
The May blossom is out and blackbirds are singing.
I must say thanks for your kind condolences on the death of dear MiL
I was at a different funeral yesterday and afterwards my NZ cousins arrived.
I took them to the folk club but realised they won't be able to walk far so shall now change my plans for what to do with them. that sounds awful
They are both in their 80s .
Your day up the watter sounds perfectMarydoll and what a wee honey you have
Yours too Harrigran
Nice to see you are settling in gMattie
And that Mick is being kept an eye on.
Have the best day you can everyone.
Hugs for those with troubles.
Marydoll she is a gorgeous baby!
Morning from cloudy S Hampshire, pleased to see you back Mick.
Library today, I must get a new battery for my watch nearby and nip into the farm shop for some fruit.
Thought with Urms and her husband.
🦩🦩
Such a beautiful baby Marydoll! 💕
Morning all
Mick you do seem to be seeing a lot of your local hospitals, take care.
Yesterday we took the two GC to Barleylands, it’s a petting zoo with so much to do for the little ones. It was definitely on the chilly side.
We have grey sky and it looks like it rained overnight, where is spring?
Off to the gym this morning then DD will meet me there and I will take GC to the park and for some lunch so she can have her personal training session.
Lovely photo of babydoll
Have a good day folks 🙋♀️🦩
What a little cutie Marydoll 👶🏼
Good morning all and it’s grey here in Essex.
Yesterday I had a lovely catch-up with my two old school friends at the Olympic park in Stratford. We wandered along the river and the wild flower areas are magnificent at the moment. A long lunch and then home. So good to chat with friends you’ve known for nearly 70 years and who know each other inside out. Very special ❤️.
I’ve a ticket for a luncheon today (cancer relief) but I’ve decided not to go as I’ll visit Dd . There was talk she might be out today. They really haven’t got to the bottom of her problems ! ‘Probably’ withdrawal symptoms from immunotherapy and steroids. I’ll wait to hear from her.
Glad to see Mick is ok and had prompt attention from the NHS.,
Hope *Miss Oops*Is feeling better.
Thinking if Urms at this worrying time.
Enjoy the day as best you can 🌸
What a beautiful baby!
Good morning from a cloudy Glasgow, its 11°C.
Glad to hear you have been checked over Mick and back home safe and sound.
Yesterday we had a lovely visit doon the watter, it was glorious and Prestwick wasn't too busy.
A wee wander round the shops, a delicious lunch in our favourite restaurant, (DH foolishly suggested Greggs, 🤬) a gentle stroll along the prom, with frequent rests and finally an ice cream, eaten while sitting on the sea wall.
I discovered a baby boutique, which was closing down, with beautiful clothes and ridiculously low prices. Of course, I couldn't resist and Babydoll has a new outfit for today. 😉
I would probably have bought half the shop, if Mr MDoll hadn't intervened
We decided to make a detour and visit Babydoll on the way home.
We took a short cut over the Glennifer Braes, where we had the most stunning views of the whole of Glasgow and Paisley, all the way to the Erskine Bridge.
We passed the car park, at the top of the Braes, named by locals, as The car park in the sky, where DH and I did much of our courting.
. You can see all the way to Ben Lomond. We felt quite nostalgic.
A good few hours were spent at DS2's, with DH and I in competition, with who was to hold baby. She is starting to focus now and respond to our voices. 😍
As per doctor's orders, after too much busyness, today will be a day of rest and DH is insisting, I do what I am told. I have to admit to feeling exhausted today, so I will have no problems, lazing in the garden. However, it was all worth it!
Thinking of all the poorlies, who are struggling and hoping Mr Urms isn't suffering the effects of yesterday.
Everyone here seems so busy, enjoy all your activities., whatever your plans.
