Good Morning Everyone,
Its bright but cloudy here in brackley this morning.
Now to explain my absence yesterday, I was in pain with right leg and hip area ,anyway pulled the cord and eventually a ambulance turned up , they did the normal diagnose but found a slight heart matter , so took me to the Horton A & E as a precaution .
I also advised the paramedics that I was due a iron infusion at Bicester community Hospital , anyway arrived A & E t Banbury very quiet , they did a blood test and and on the result gave me some insulin , I was discharged from there and they provided transport to take me to Bicester for the Iron Infusion , once I had that done did usual and caught the bus home.
Today, I plan to go to Bicester as usual ,and get back into a normal routine .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from an overcast Bristol. The clouds will burn off soon.
Goodness, Mick, that was some adventure! I’m glad you were well looked after and are back home now.
The financial advisor was lovely, reassuring and easy to talk to. Although, I’m fairly good with money, some of the demands from DH’s pension company for example, flummox me. Anyway, he’s coming up with a plan, and returning next week. I’m very grateful.
For some reason, I was unaccountably sleepy yesterday, falling asleep almost whenever I sat down. Had a really good night too(for me).
Saw my upstairs neighbour in the afternoon and we had a cuppa here. A very nice lady.
Today, all day, I have to wait for my new oven. Companies seem to think that everyone has all day to hang around. Mi do, it that’s beside the point…
No papers today. There is a train strike. A real pain. I’m surprised it hasn’t been more advertised- previous ones were trumpeted. A sign of the times?
I hope today is gentle with everyone. Carpe diem 🦩🦩❤️🦩🦩

Good morning Mick, it’s a cloudy start to Wednesday in Wiltshire.
I’m sorry to hear about your problems yesterday, I hope all’s well now.
Yesterday the family returned home after lunch, so lovely having them here.
Today I have the hairdresser first thing then housework and laundry before a quiet afternoon.
I’m feeling rather tired so will see how things go today.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Good to see you back Mick - take it easy today. It has rained overnight in South Yorkshire. Very welcome; the garden needs it. I had a very pleasant walk yesterday with a fellow Gransnetter and we put the world to rights! Writers group at the library this afternoon and I haven’t done my homework so I shall have to stand in the corner I expect😁!
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning all from South Lanarkshire. Glad you’re okay Mick, great service from the NHS.

Yesterday I had a lovely, lazy day in the garden, crocheting and reading it was so good to finally feel the heat of the sun.

Back to work today, my colleague is now on annual leave so I’ll be covering for the next ten days.

Wishing everyone the best possible day.

Good morning from an overcast Torbay.

I’m pleased to see Mick back with us and to read that he was well cared for yesterday.

I failed to post yesterday as we were out early as DH wanted to go to Camborne by train to visit the model railway shop. Rail strikes are today, Friday and Saturday, grandMattie. Great timing with half term and the Cup Final!

I went to Props at the theatre where it was good to catch up with news. Tonight I’ll attend a rehearsal for Dad's Army, our summer production for which I have a minor role.

Happy hump day! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning from an overcast Angus.
Had a wonderful day at Glamis Castle yesterday, the guided tour was most informative and we had lunch there before spending the afternoon in the gardens. The carved wood characters from Macbeth were interesting and the wooded area gave us some much needed shade.
I am having a relaxed day today reading more of my book and catching up with news from my sister and BIL who are on holiday in the borders.
Thoughts are with those who have poorly family.

Good morning. Sunny again here in mid Devon and hopefully the chill wind has dropped.
Spent yesterday at Bicton Park. Lovely gardens, rural museum, playground and train ride so enjoyed by all.
Poor DGS2 was sick when we got home . DD3 was poorly the day before and SIL didn’t feel great yesterday. Hope they are all ok today and it’s not going to affect us all.
So , plans for today depend on how everyone is feeling. Family Pow Wow at 9.00 hrs.
Glad to see Mick back with us.
Wishing all a good day with a smile along te way.

Morning Mick, morning All. Light cloud over our corner of Somerset, less windy.

Dust removed and groceries packed away it was on to the admin list yesterday, took longer than I anticipated so still some to wade through. Not today though, ironing first thing then a wander out. Need a balloon for a friends 80th birthday tomorrow. I have gift and cake as well as table decorations, just need a balloon. We’ll head for a quiet beach for a stroll afterwards and maybe find some lunch. Easy day as it will be.a long and tiring one tomorrow.

Take it easy today mick, I’m not liking the sound of yesterday.

Hope Wednesday is kind to us all.

Morning all from a damp looking West Oxfordshire. It obviously rained overnight. Our cleaner is coming this morning. I have a hair appointment. I thought I was having my roots done as well as a cut, but that will be at my next appointment. My granddaughter was teasing me last weekend about the amount of grey hair I have! I might be 70 now but I’m not quite ready to go completely grey yet. Have a good day.

Good morning from an overcast Colchester. We've had some overnight rain and it seems the wind might have dropped a bit.
It felt very cold here yesterday.
Missing coffee today as we're minding DGS2 as it's half term holiday and DD2 has appointments.
Love to all 🦩 x

Grandmachrisy47 Wed 31-May-23 07:15:06

Good morning from Co Durham. Pleased to see Mick back, you had us all worried.
Snatching five minutes peace before dgd and the dogs wake up.
Lovely surprise yesterday, dd1 and son in law rang from their holiday hotel to tell us they had booked for dh, dgd and me to have an evening meal at the pub/ restaurant nearby. We had a lovely meal and dgd was a joy. So grownup and perfectly behaved.
Home today, dropping dgd with her other gran till Saturday, then we will collect her and bring her to her home to be there when mum and dad arrive on Sunday.
Hoping things went well for Mr Urms yesterday and all with troubles get relief.
I’ll catch up here this afternoon.

brook2704 Wed 31-May-23 07:15:09

Good morning everyone from Inverness where we’ve light grey cloud but another warm sunny day is forecast
My goodness mick what an ordeal yesterday but pleased you’re home now, take care
I was pleased yesterday morning at court when thankfully I wasn’t needed as a reserve juror and was free to go after a couple of hours. We picked up DGD from school and helped with the usual after school activities. She didn’t stay over last night though as we’ve got DGS staying over tonight instead. Before then I’ve a couple of classes at the gym to get through so it’s all go!
Hope everyone is feeling a bit better today ginny such a shame when on holiday
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning and I am very glad to see Mick back. I can see my neighbours very high weather station and the vane is showing wind, still from NE, forecast is blustery today and sun only for this afternoon. No cycling today

Bearing the forecast in mind, I am off in my car to get a small frying pan to match my bigger ones. The modern coating is wonderful and nothing sticks. I am going food shopping too, don`t want to miss out on the glorious spring fruits that are appearing

Ooh, what an exciting day ahead. Small pleasures come to mind

Have a lovely day

kittylester Wed 31-May-23 07:29:22

Morning all from North Leicestershire where it rained overnight. We believed the forecast and didn't bring the garden cushions in!

I roning and parcel collection today.

We had a lovely day shopping with DGD2 yesterday - she spent loads of (our) money and we went to Pizza Express.

Good to see you back, Mick.

Mizuna Wed 31-May-23 07:30:32

Good morning from an overcast Cornwall, oh for some rain! You were well cared for Mick. Funny to think of you being so near to me yesterday Ash. I didn't know Camborne had a model railway shop - I go there for the quirky charity shops. Hope to see my doctor today. Still breathless a week after the stents were put in and I'm not sure that's right. Otherwise back to the Boro waistcoat, nearly finished.

Grandmabatty Wed 31-May-23 07:34:11

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 10° and cloudy. I hope it burns off later. Mick you had us all worried! I hope you feel better today. Ginny what rotten luck to fall ill on holiday. Baubles don't overdo things! A ten day shift sounds like hard work.
Yesterday was such a glorious day. Both boys were unwell so I had them both all day. I had set up the garden with their toys and put up their tepee in a corner. Dgs1 wanted it moved as there were too many bees. He is quite scared of bees and wasps. I didn't move it and we had a chat about bees and their importance to the world and how they won't hurt you if you leave them alone. He wasn't convinced. Lots of naps and lying down by both boys. Later dgs2 fell off the couch and burst his lip. He's normally a hardy wee soul, but this upset him greatly,so lots of cuddles were needed. I ordered a paddling pool which arrived last night.
Today I have an early Tesco delivery due. Then I have nothing planned until I visit mum later. One of my lovely neighbours is in hospital so I'll contact his wife to see how he is. I'll probably do a bit of weeding as well. Chicken Caesar salad for dinner. Have a good day all.

Cold, dull and very windy here in Oxfordshire, let’s hope the sun comes out today.
Have a good day everyone, hugs for those who have worries and stress.

Good morning from a cloudy Glasgow, its 11°C.

Glad to hear you have been checked over Mick and back home safe and sound.

Yesterday we had a lovely visit doon the watter, it was glorious and Prestwick wasn't too busy.
A wee wander round the shops, a delicious lunch in our favourite restaurant, (DH foolishly suggested Greggs, 🤬) a gentle stroll along the prom, with frequent rests and finally an ice cream, eaten while sitting on the sea wall.

I discovered a baby boutique, which was closing down, with beautiful clothes and ridiculously low prices. Of course, I couldn't resist and Babydoll has a new outfit for today. 😉
I would probably have bought half the shop, if Mr MDoll hadn't intervened

We decided to make a detour and visit Babydoll on the way home.
We took a short cut over the Glennifer Braes, where we had the most stunning views of the whole of Glasgow and Paisley, all the way to the Erskine Bridge.
We passed the car park, at the top of the Braes, named by locals, as The car park in the sky, where DH and I did much of our courting. blush. You can see all the way to Ben Lomond. We felt quite nostalgic.

A good few hours were spent at DS2's, with DH and I in competition, with who was to hold baby. She is starting to focus now and respond to our voices. 😍

As per doctor's orders, after too much busyness, today will be a day of rest and DH is insisting, I do what I am told. I have to admit to feeling exhausted today, so I will have no problems, lazing in the garden. However, it was all worth it!

Thinking of all the poorlies, who are struggling and hoping Mr Urms isn't suffering the effects of yesterday.

Everyone here seems so busy, enjoy all your activities., whatever your plans.

Ladyleftfieldlover Wed 31-May-23 08:07:55

What a beautiful baby!

Gingster Wed 31-May-23 08:09:38

Good morning all and it’s grey here in Essex.

Yesterday I had a lovely catch-up with my two old school friends at the Olympic park in Stratford. We wandered along the river and the wild flower areas are magnificent at the moment. A long lunch and then home. So good to chat with friends you’ve known for nearly 70 years and who know each other inside out. Very special ❤️.

I’ve a ticket for a luncheon today (cancer relief) but I’ve decided not to go as I’ll visit Dd . There was talk she might be out today. They really haven’t got to the bottom of her problems ! ‘Probably’ withdrawal symptoms from immunotherapy and steroids. I’ll wait to hear from her.

Glad to see Mick is ok and had prompt attention from the NHS.,

Hope *Miss Oops*Is feeling better.

Thinking if Urms at this worrying time.

Enjoy the day as best you can 🌸

Gingster Wed 31-May-23 08:14:04

What a little cutie Marydoll 👶🏼

GrannyGravy13 Wed 31-May-23 08:19:47

Morning all

Mick you do seem to be seeing a lot of your local hospitals, take care.

Yesterday we took the two GC to Barleylands, it’s a petting zoo with so much to do for the little ones. It was definitely on the chilly side.

We have grey sky and it looks like it rained overnight, where is spring?

Off to the gym this morning then DD will meet me there and I will take GC to the park and for some lunch so she can have her personal training session.

Lovely photo of babydoll

Have a good day folks 🙋‍♀️🦩

brook2704 Wed 31-May-23 08:24:54

Such a beautiful baby Marydoll! 💕
