I believe someone in his close family has been ill but not himself . Obviously he has kept it private for a good reason.

And DH and I often look like Howard and Hilda

I’m pretty sure he’s not been ill at all, he cancelled his last tour for ‘unforeseen family reasons’ which sounds like code for either his wife or children being ill to me, rather than him. He’s doing a residency at the O2 for months this year, so all must be well now, because that’s a big commitment.

Oh I do hope he's not I'll. He's just so much fun. I'm smiling in anticipation as soon as I see him. He makes it all seem so effortless but I bet it's not!

Yes so good to know he is back in the public eye and I am same thought as you Grannmarie I hope the weight loss is nothing more than just wanting to loose weight.

He is brilliant.

I like Peter Kay. I do hope that his weight loss is not the result of illness or worry, but who knows, he is entitled to his privacy regarding family matters.
Good to hear that he is touring again, that sounds positive.

I saw him in the O2 about a month ago. Wonderful night's entertainment. However, he did look very different and decidedly poorly. My assumption is that the 'family problems' were his own health and presumably he is now on the road of recovery and feels well enough to do this tour. Certainly hope so. Think he's terrific.
