The sun has gone from the north west. It’s grey and there’s a chilly wind blowing

silverlining48 Sun 04-Jun-23 23:20:50

Better day today, our first rays of sunshine for a week but still the wind blows....

Goodness it is red hot here and have been for 10 days now, I have lived in my shorts and t.shirt and got a really good colour already. Sorry, you are not benefitting elsewhere. Hopefully you soon will

Turned it up !!! I haven’t had it on since 1st March…..been sitting with a fleece in for 3 months ….then early to bed. 🫤

33 C and 63% humidity in this Great Lakes US state. Have retreated inside with the AC on. Spring is over.

Having had no heating on all winter I am used to it!

Scottiebear Sun 04-Jun-23 16:52:27

Here in South Wales it's been very hot for over a week.

BlueBelle Sun 04-Jun-23 16:45:44

Callistemon21 Sun 04-Jun-23 16:27:20

I've moved into the shade!

pascal30 Sun 04-Jun-23 15:42:47

Here in Brighton it's in the 20's and really hot..

HannahLoisLuke Sun 04-Jun-23 15:42:01

Apparently the cold north easterly is going to drop and the temperature is going to soar for next weekend.

MiniMoon Sun 04-Jun-23 15:40:37

It's a beautiful sunny day here in sw Northumberland. I put on a summer dress this morning, but went and got a jumper to go over it. We still have the cold north easterly wind keeping the temperature down.

Had the heater on in the car this morning...

It was lovely here yesterday and is another warm, sunny day today.
Havent had the gpher in for weeks, although I did wear a cardigan some evenings.

I'm more worried that they'll announce a drought and a hosepipe ban.

Welshgirl
Expecting the same here too in S Hampshire, keeping the in use water butt topped up by hose, two more in reserve capped off for now.

Warm sunny day here in Manchester so did a photo shoot this morning.

Yes, supposed to be 23C today in west Wales......no rain for over a week, dry and sunny....waiting for a drought the be announced :-/

It’s cold in Melbourne after a couple of weeks up in the Northern Territory (35C) and Broome. All relative,I suppose, because apparently today was a bit warmer than when we were away at 18 C. Sometimes I think it would be nice to have perpetual heat, but mostly not.

leeds22 Sun 04-Jun-23 12:30:24

I am getting fed up of having to put the heating on. But I have managed to get DH to accept the summer duvet - need to get the winter one to the laundrette.

Azalea99 Sun 04-Jun-23 12:30:22

I woke up at 3:30 this morning and put a jumper on!
This half term I’m sure the kids have been skating on the lido instead of paddling
I’m in NW London, btw

grandMattie Sun 04-Jun-23 12:14:55

Moved to Bristol in the first week of May. Not had the heating on at all. Mornings and evenings chilly with that cold N.Easterly “breeze”. Wear a cardi each of the day. Not cold though with the glorious sunshine.

Callistemon21 Sun 04-Jun-23 12:11:05

Havent had the gpher in for weeks 😁

I'm sitting here in t-shirt and shorts (Birmingham, uk) and don't have to have the air conditioning on all over the house today.
I'm heat intolerant, so am much more comfortable when it's cooler.

EEJit Sun 04-Jun-23 11:43:18

I've turned the heating down at last.

JaneJudge Sun 04-Jun-23 11:37:10

I've been putting it on in the evening and the temperature really drops
