I'm feeling quite smug. It's been a lovely day here in Glasgow and more of the same for the rest of the week. Makes a change, usually it's the other way round!
It's still 18 degrees here in the NW. We sat outside for an hour after dinner and had to come back in, as the sun was so strong. Getting the parasol out of the garage is on tomorrow's job list
Put on the furry dressing gown just now! May have to bring out the highly prized Oodie (wearable blanket to the uninitiated), DGD picked out as my Christmas present last year.....if this cold snap persists! We ARE in the far far North though....
I’m well and truly fed up, I have thick sweat pants on, socks and tee shirt and sweatshirt, this is my winter wear, it’s actually b cold here in north Essex, even the spaniel is cold, she’s normally full time panting this time of the year, but is trying to get under my blanket. Just eaten dinner, toad in the hole, mash and veg, gravy, this is winter food, salads can just jog on!!
Chilly (14 degrees) this morning in the Somerset wind which had picked up again, the sun came out at lunch time, a switch was flipped and it was suddenly 19 degrees. Lucky I think.
I sat outside this afternoon, knitting in the sunshine, unusual for Lanarkshire but as Marydoll said, we're having a warm spell. I'm wearing a sleeveless linen shift dress and flip-flops. We've still got sunshine ☀ and blue skies. I hope all the cold Grans get some sunshine soon.
Oh my! I’m cold easily but - here in the frozen north west, it’s fabulous. The sun is still shining, it isn’t raining and that cold wind has gone away , for now 🌸🌺🌞
A cooler day here in central Angus but i don't mind as i got prickly heart on my forearms after gardening in the sun on Sunday/Monday. It's been unusually hot and sunny for days here. Today my DD visited from north of Glasgow leaving the sunshine there, and was wrapped up in my crochet blanket with her summer coat on too. I'm usually a 'cauld tattie' as we would say but it wasn't that bad. I just put my fleece top on. Supposed to be back to sunshine tomoro.
