I’m going to miss Gary in the mornings

Agree that Gary Davis is lovely to listen to, funny but not as excitable as Vernon . Please BBC, give him his own daytime show, and maybe move Zoe !!!

I used to be a radio 2 listener in the car but changes in the last few years mean I now use a CD in the car and though it runs continually I mostly do quite short journeys and am happy to sing along with something familiar. I miss some of the previous presenters but never really took to their replacements so I think the CD will remain. Probably should put some others in the car for longer journeys!

Used to love Scott Mills on Radio 1. But he sounds lacklustre on 2. Maybe he needs a co-presenter. As for Vernon Kay. The man is about 50 and sounds like a teenage boy who’s drunk too much fizzy pop. Cannot stand him. Ken was the utter professional on 2. And still is on Greatest Hits, But cant gel with him on there. Radio is so personal. Hard to get it right.

I moved to Greatest hits radio too because i love ken Bruce. I am used to it now and enjoy listening to all the presenters.

Never listen to music on the radio.
And definitely not radio 2.

I followed Ken to GHR, accidentally found myself listening to Vernon yesterday, but lost it when he kept referring to Pegasus Bridge as Pegasus BEACH. Total lack of respect 😡

Another vote for Gary really enjoyed his stand in for Zoe and Vernon, I was hoping he would fill Kens spot.

In my opinion..Vernon Kay is the perfect choice for replacing Ken Bruce...

Did listen when Gary was filling in. Never listen to Zoe, just can't stand her fast chatter.

Used to enjoy Ken Bruce but really can't tolerate Vernon Kay. Gary Davis was preferable and should have stayed.

Although I always liked Ken Bruce, Steve Wright etc I did feel it was time for a change. I quite like Scott Mills but preferred him when he did Saturday mornings on 5live with Chris (somebody)
I am enjoying Vernon Kay and disagree that he just waffles rubbish. Yesterday for instance he devoted the programme to DDay because it was the anniversary. He’s full of fun facts whilst still retaining things that made Ken’s show so popular, the 10.30 music quiz, under a different name and Tracks if my years.
The only ones I really miss on radio2 are Simon Mayo so listen on GHR and Graham Norton but catch him on Virgin.
Generally I prefer talk stations and the range of music on Radio 2 has become very same over the years.

My initial reaction was ‘Who’s Gary?’ But you went on to explain who he is Casdon. Hopefully someone else who everyone likes will replace him on Radio Two.

I followed Ken to GH radio although I didn't mind Gary Davies .Actually the adverts haven't bothered me as much as I thought.Less annoying than Zoe Balls gushing -and I really don't like Scott Mills.Today for the first time I flipped back to radio 2 to listen to Vernon .I'm not sure what I think yet but much as I like Greatest Hits I do feel I'm missing out on new music so may flit between the two and give Vernon more time.

Gary has his own show on a Saturday Sounds of the 80's - maybe he's happy with that and 'filling in'.
I'm enjoying Vernon Kay's positivity.

I've gone right off R2 - far too much talking about nothing and reading out inane text messages from random members of the public. I can't bear commercial radio adverts either as they're too frequent and too shouty. I end up on R4 or listening to podcasts.

I completely agree with Sparklefizz. ! I don’t like all the adverts on Ken’s show on GHR and he sounds different - not like the Ken on Radio 2. It’s a different vibe on GHR, but then I suppose it was never going to be the same. As for Vernon Kay - irritating! Too much silly chatter about absolutely nothing. Why not play more music, rather than filling in the time with rubbishy chitter chatter?! I think Gary Davis is great - cheerful without being hysterical/over the top and with just the right amount of chat in between music.

I find him annoying - not sure why but I just do.
Looking forward to Zoe coming back.

I recommend to those of a certain age that they listen to Ray Clark on BBC Radio Kent at 6pm on Sundays. He is very entertaining and plays the best music, in my opinion.

Sadly I tried Ken on Greatest Hits Radio, I too don't like that they don't play recent Hits. It is called Greatest hits Radio?
Not keen on the adverts either, so back to Radio 2.

I'm hoping Gary Davis takes over from Scot Mills in that afternoon slot. Mills just doesn't seem to have that extra quality for that slot.
But I'm liking Vernon Kay.
