I hope I’m not alone in having strange habits and rituals.

Please add your own quickly and don’t leave me feeling exposed and crazy!!!!

Here goes;

I pull my jaw down and make the most ridiculous face when applying mascara, I say a prayer as I put a cake in the oven, I cannot drink water from an upstairs tap, I stand in one leg when I brush my teeth, I have to sleep with a handkerchief under my pillow, cushions placed at a ā€œjaunty angleā€ stress me out, they have to be square on.

There are more but I don’t want to become the completely nutty G netter!

Your turn.

I count the steps as I go up the stairs, no matter that I know exactly how many steps there are -13 - I always find myself counting them. Today I realised I was counting my steps between the car and the entrance to the supermarket. So I suppose my idiosyncrasy is just that - counting!

I clench my teeth when I use the secateurs. Makes gardening tense.

These are hilarious!

They sure are šŸ˜‚
OCD? I would say so, a way of warding off anxiety, harmless but a waste of time.

Re the toilet paper. I read somewhere that in Buckingham Palace it has to be hanging over the front as you may get germs if it touches the wall behind.

I too am nuts about matching my pegs and like my tins with the labels facing the front. Beckham is a bit like that with their tins too!

I like my books in size order, and also try to keep books by the same author together. I also try as far as is practical, to keep same/similar subjects together. I have far too many books (and 5 bookcases).
I too, have a thing about framed pictures on a wall being square and level!
I don't worry about peg colours, but I do have a specific way to hang things on the line outdoors, and also on a dryer when washing is indoors.
Whatever makes you calm and happy is NOT weird in my opinion!

CBBL I am really offended by droopy washing on clothes lines. I peg it out nice and straight, which reduces or even avoids ironing. I accept you can't fit as much on the line though.
