Good morning Tuesday 20th June

Morning all from a very wet and thundery West Oxfordshire . The rain was so loud it woke me. I will pop over to the picture framers some time today. They were shut yesterday. I didn’t realise that shops still closed on a Monday. I have some WI admin to do. It is the monthly meeting tomorrow. Although I am going to the reopening of the National Portrait Gallery (I’m a member) I want to get back home in time. Specially as I missed last month’s meeting due to looking after my granddaughter. Thinking of Mick and Urms. Old age really isn’t for wimps is it?

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 14° and dry. GrandMattie I'm glad your neighbour is turning into a friend. Whitewave I love the sound of your dinner! Ash technology keeps evolving and I don't. You have my sympathies.
Yesterday was a good childcare day. A walk to the swings in the morning and dgs2 had a chat with my lovely new neighbours who are proving to be gems. Then later we were in the garden between showers.
Today I anticipate more of the same. I'll have to write a card first for my dd and sil as it's their anniversary today. Nine years married. Have a good day all

Good morning from a damp Torbay after steady rain for much of the night.

It sounds as if you’ve found a good friend in your neighbour, grandMattie. A just reward for the many kindnesses you have bestowed on others in the past.

Yesterday, I set out for my exercise class when the screen in the car announced: No phone found! As I would need it later to collect some items I’d ordered from George (Asda), I turned the car around and returned home. Locking my bag in the car, I went back into the flat. No phone! I even resorted to ringing my mobile from the landline…… nothing! Back in the car, I checked my bag and ….. you've guessed it… there it was! Duh!
Unfortunately, it looks as if it’s no longer linked to the car for hands free use. My DD2 set it up when I changed my phone last year and she said it was complicated! (No hope for me!)

There are worse things in life about which to worry, especially reading recent posts this morning. Thinking of all those who are unwell and hope Mick is ok, although his substitute is doing a very good job!

Just realised. Glastonbury starts tomorrow…. All this rain will turn the fields into mud. Oh dear.
SiL has been working there since the year dot, his father was one of the GPS on site.
Will make it interesting!

Good morning from s somerset and we have rain, 17 mm so far to add to the 3.4 mm over the last 4 weeks. It is dull and grey but wonderful. There is no breeze but the thirsty young trees are gently swaying

Yesterday was a lovely and companionable day. Today will be quiet and I need to contact the boiler people to book the annual service for me and a neighbour. I shall enjoy not having much to do and will explore the performances, shows exhibitions etc in our local events week. Diary will be by my side

GM definitely onwards and upwards for you and how nice to be going out with someone who comes back with you to exactly the same block. No walking on your own

Good morning, Mattie and all GNs from a cloudy South Yorkshire. We can expect some rain again today. Thinking about Mick and hoping he is doing okay. I didn’t do much but potter yesterday, did an early food shop, cleared up some of the damage the heavy rain had done to some of my plants, and then went for a walk up to the reed bed and back. There are reed warblers - very heartening. One of our neighbours is very ill and we are all very worried about him.

Been awake since 4am after a worrying day yesterday.
My BIL ruptured his achilles tendon yesterday afternoon and spent the rest of the day at the hospital arriving home at midnight in plaster.
While I was commiserating with him news came in that a mutual friend had collapsed and died while on holiday in Canada, he was only 65.
Feels quite humid today so easy day I think.
Thoughts are with poorly people.

We went to quiz last night, but i had to retire early fatigued.
Haematology appointment later this morning, I must write a list of questions.
There are some families fighting harsh battles on GM, I’m thinking of them.

Good morning from a thundery South Downs. The dog is quite deaf, so hasn’t heard it yet and still relaxed.

Looks as if rain is forecast until mid afternoon, so I shall do a bit of housework I think. Need also to take a dress in that I hope to wear to a party/barbecue at the weekend.

Cajun salmon with tropical salsa for dinner.
