Good morning, it’s a beautiful start here in south Gloucestershire too.
Apart from taking my car for its MOT yesterday, I did little because I felt absolutely shattered. No idea why!
Today a trip to a pub for an art workshop, should be interesting, and a new place to visit.
The rains yesterday were so welcome, I hope we don’t have weeks until the next showers, my garden still needs more 😀
Have a lovely day 🌹

Good morning all and the sun is shining. Yesterdays torrential start to the day was biblical! School run was chaotic with cars and floods everywhere. Thunder and lightning as we walked through the school gates.

Sister in laws funeral went well and was a jolly occassion. No tears were shed and niece and nephew’s relaxed farewell for their mum was just lovely.

On our way to the funeral I had a call from ds2 to say they wouldnt be @ble to get to the funeral as DIL has had a car crash .
A car sped around a corner and smashed into her. The driver pulled up by her door preventing her getting out and then sped off. She said he looked either drunk or drugged. She wasn’t able to get his registration number! Thank God she wasn’t hurt. 🙏.

We are travelling to our seaside abode this morning. I’m worried to leave Dd but we need to go for several reasons. I’m looking forward to some peace and quiet and recharging the batteries.

Multi enjoy your Chinese.
GM I’m so pleased your ‘new’ life is proving positive.
Best wishes to Mick. Let’s hear from you soon.

Enjoy the day 🌸. The longest day ALREADY! 🌞

Good morning to all Gransnetters and to Mick if he is looking in. I have been awake since four - the culmination of a very broken night but the early start gave me a chance to finish an essay for writers group at the library this afternoon. We had yet more heavy rain yesterday morning. I went out and sorted a new sim only phone contract which will hopefully save me money. Then I spent the rest of the day defrosting and cleaning my fridge freezer and the smaller freezer in the garage which I may now shut down and get rid of. It’s really very old, and it still works well, but I can’t see why on earth I still need two freezers, other than as a fall back if the other one breaks down.
Have the best day you can, folks. A hug for all who need one.

Good morning and it feels much fresher outside in s somerset. Temperatures will be pleasant today and there should be some lovely clouds to gaze at from my outside recliner, UV blocking sunglasses over my specs of course

Yesterday was good, last batch of gooseberry jam made and in a few days I will pick the remainder and throw some on the ground to rot as the birds like them. Then I easily dug out two big sprawling woody helenium that have outlived the space. To be replaced soon with strong low-care upright echinacea evolution

I lengthened two hand made cotton dresses. I love those dresses, called the factory dress so comfy and perfect to wear at home. I saw one in frome once, in a shop window, made in cotton quilting fabric and it had an expensive tag on, a couple of £00.

I think today will need to evolve again, I have no plans apart from thinning apples, maybe

Morning from sunny S Hants, I really must get a proper blackout blind.
Reassuring meeting with haematology nurse yesterday, it helps to talk, drug changed.
Friend visiting for coffee later, must visit the farm shop, then sow a few seeds of lettuce and leeks.
Thoughts with those in troubled waters.

Good morning everyone from sunny Severnside. We do have a few dark clouds though.

I remember our visit to Stonehenge for the solstice. It was cloudy but felt magical to be able to walk among the stones. Took ages to exit the car park.

Your floor man story Mattie.

I’m up early this morning as I have some homeworking to finish and I want to go out this afternoon for a few hours. I don’t get up so early these days. After all these years I think I’m finally getting out of my early starts to see DH off to work.

Hope you all have a good a day as possible and hope Mick is recovering 🌺🦩

PS and Mick, of course. How is he getting on? Anyone in contact with him?

I “overslept” after a broken night. I stopped myself from getting up, and fell asleep again. A good thing as I am pretty busy today.
My floors were all measured yesterday by a very chatty man, who said most of his elderly female customers gave him their life stories. Hmm, I thought to myself, when would they have a gap in his own chatter?
My new sewing machine pedal and cable were delivered 4 minutes after the start time I was given. I shocked the poor young delivery driver, who laughed when I told him I was teasing. It’s never happened like that before. They usually are about and hour late…
Today, I have to go to the library and to Waitrose opposite when visiting a lady who will describe the two local afternoon WIs, one of which starts just after lunch this afternoon. I may well join that one.
This evening, my upstairs neighbour and I are going to a choral concert in which one of the inmates is singing. Neither especially want to go, but we want to support him.
Prayers and good vibes to the “Urms” family, the “kalu” family, the “Gingster” family, “Marydoll” and co, and anyone else I missed, I hope they have tolerable days filled with peace.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩❤️
